Question 1

Who's this character?

For our very first character, we'll start with the most obvious. This is partly to help you get the momentum going, and partly to make sure you didn't click on the wrong quiz. Because, any self-proclaimed Dragon Ball Z fan who does not know the name of this character isn't really a Dragon Ball Z fan at all - they're just severely mistaken. So, let's see if you're in the right place - name the Dragon Ball Z character, if you can.

Question 2

Who's this character?

Here's another character that every self-respecting Dragon Ball Z character knows well. Not only is he an important figure in the Dragon Ball world - he's also one of the most well-known and idolized anti heroes in the entire fictional world. Here he is, staring you down directly, surely about to look up your power level with his scouter. If it's over 9000, then you might have a fight on your hands. Either way, before you begin, let's see you get his name right.

Question 3

Who's this character?

After those two Saiyans, it's time to get a Namekian in the mix here. Take a look at this guy - another one of the most well known Dragon Ball Z characters of them all. Here he is, pictured in the midst of one of his favorite pass times, which is meditation. This does indicate that the character happens to prize intelligence and mentality over strength, which is a refreshing aspect in the DBZ world. Can you remember his name, or are you in the wrong place?

Question 4

Who's this character?

When all else fails, and the strength of all adults Z warriors has been used up and proven unworthy, all the planet's hopes rest on this little guy's soldiers right here. Of course, we're referring to the Cell saga in particular, but as an adult, this character happened to kick some serious behind in the Buu saga as well, in his Mystic form. Does that give you a hint? If it doesn't, then his face and hair certainly should. What's his name?

Question 5

Who's this character?

Despite this Dragon Ball Z character being one of the weakest of all the Z fighters, he should never be underestimated. After all, just look at the fierce might of that Destructo Disk he has loaded up! If he launches that thing at you, it will go right through you like butter, so it's best to just stick to his good side. Thankfully, that'll be easy, since he's extremely good natured. If you're a DBZ fan, this one shouldn't be an issue.

Question 6

Who's this character?

Here's another character whose power level quickly lost relevance as the Dragon Ball Z series progressed. However, back in the original Dragon Ball saga, he was one of the greatest fighters ever known, capable of generating tremendous amounts of Ki through the power of his third eye. He has his moments in DBZ, though - like when he stalled second form Cell in order to allow the Androids to get away. Does that ring any bells? Then name the character.

Question 7

Who's this character?

What this character lacks in power, he more than makes up for in kindness and sheer good intention. Well, that would be the case in any other show aside from Dragon Ball Z. But in this show, lack of power in a battle will quickly translate to a halo shining around your head. So it goes. Despite the fact that this guy's been absent from most DBZ fights later in the series, you should definitely still know his name, right?

Question 8

Who's this character?

In the Dragon Ball Z world, characters usually tend to fight using their bare hands and feet as well as the energy that comes out of their souls, or wherever it comes out of. The point is, there are only a handful of characters who enjoy using swords, and this guy is one of them. However, it should also be said that he's the weakest of the bunch, though he probably doesn't really care about that. At any rate, what's his name?

Question 9

Who's this character?

Here is another key Dragon Ball Z character, though he's certainly not one of the strongest. In fact, it's hard not to think of a single memory featuring this character that doesn't include him dying, or at least coming very close to death. That's not all bad, though, since death in the Dragon Ball Z universe isn't much of a death at all, and more of a rebirth. So, considering all the times this character was defeated, let's see if you know his name.

Question 10

Who's this character?

It's time to kick back and relax with a nice cup of coffee and the company of this total pig over here. Here's yet another character who was quite prominent in the original Dragon Ball series, however he had no choice but to take a backseat when things started getting very serious in Dragon Ball Z. Despite his sideline role, true fans should still know his name without expending too much effort at all. So, if you're a true fan, click the right button below.

Question 11

Who's this character?

Like that last entry, this one didn't have much spotlight time during the entirety of the Dragon Ball Z saga. Instead, he spent most of his screen time cheering on our heroes from the sidelines, either in a tournament seat or at home on TV. He's known as Yamcha's life long best friend, though whether he's a cat, a mouse, a rabbit or some weird hybrid of the three isn't quite known. What should be known, however, is his name.

Question 12

Who's this character?

Here is yet another character whose power levels don't nearly match up with those of primary fighters in the Dragon Ball Z saga. Still, despite that, he's been quite central to the progression of the plot, in both the Cell Saga and even more so in the Buu saga. Despite his relative weakness (the strongest human being in the world can't match up to the weakest Z fighter), there's a certain magic about him that you can't help but like. So, what's his name?

Question 13

Who's this character?

Everyone has their own opinion on who the coolest Dragon Ball Z character is, and fans tend to cling strongly to their favorite. However, you can't deny that there seems to be more Dragon Ball Z animated music videos centering on this character than on any other, which says a whole lot about how cool he's perceived to be. This is the second of our sword-wielding Z fighters, and he's certainly a great asset to have on your team in battle.

Question 14

Who's this character?

While most other key cast members of the Dragon Ball Z series tend to use their muscles and their sheer will in order to advance the plot, this one tends to rely on her incredible brain power in order to do so. Indeed, she's one of the smartest characters in the entire fictional universe - for instance, did you know that she built a time machine in a cave, using only straps? That seems incredibly complicated to us, as it might to you.

Question 15

Who's this character?

This character met Goku way back during the original Dragon Ball days, and they've been together ever since. Well, if you don't count the months and years of Goku's absence as he was either training or dead, but so it goes. Despite that, his heart always remains with her, as her sheer fury remains with him. She's the wife of Goku and mother of Gohan, which means any Dragon Ball Z fan should remember her name without breaking a sweat.

Question 16

Who's this character?

It's time for our power levels to rise together, approaching perfection. If you remember this character's crucial saga, then you'll know that he seeks perfection in its ultimate form, and will stop at nothing to get it. Of course, he's also pure evil, so he's definitely not the type of entity you'd want to grant perfection to. Thankfully, he never reaches it - never comes close, actually, but we enjoyed watching him try. If you remember DBZ, then you definitely remember his name.

Question 17

Who's this character?

Think back to the very beginning of the Dragon Ball Z series, when this whole majestic unraveling began. It all started with a small space ship impacting Earth, and this crazy Saiyan stepping out of it. Equipped with his scouter, he went on to terrorize the Z warriors in small sweeps until he eventually met his end by Piccolo's Special Beam Cannon. Since he's such a prominent figure in DBZ lore, we're sure you'll have no problem remembering his name.

Question 18

Who's this character?

Next is up is a member of the second Saiyan wave to hit planet Earth, and he's several measures more powerful than the last one. Of course, he's not quite as strong as the other Saiyan who invaded Earth with him, as he would eventually fully realize. Anyway, you might remember this warrior as the one responsible for ending most of the Z warriors' lives, in one tragic way after another. He's big, strong, dumb, and an absolute DBZ classic.

Question 19

Who's this character?

Similar in size - but not point of view - to that last warrior is this one. Note him staring off happily into the distance, as if he's content not with one thing in particular but with the flow of life itself. He was a key part of the Cell saga, having played both hero and villain for a short while. If you don't remember his name, then you really can't call yourself a DBZ know-it-all. So what is it?

Question 20

Who's this character?

Here's another integral player in the Cell saga - indeed, it wouldn't have been much of a saga at all without him. He proved himself to be incredibly powerful in his debut episodes, with he and his sister taking down the entire cast of Z warriors without breaking a sweat at all. They would go on to be outclassed eventually, though it's hard not to respect the powerful run they've had. Let's see if you remember this guy's true name.

Question 21

Who's this character?

Just when we thought we saw the end of this character, she still remains a key part of the Dragon Ball mythology to this day. This is fortunate, since there aren't any other characters in the DBZ universe quite like here. She's gone through a significant shift since she was first introduced, and the same can be said about her brother. Does that subtle hint give the answer away? If it does, did we allow this on purpose? No one will ever know.

Question 22

Who's this character?

It's time for an epic battle, and it looks like it'll be between Vegeta and this guy right here. Clearly, he's hiding a certain secret technique with that red button smack in the middle of his palm. If you're a DBZ trivia pro, then you know that this villain has the ability to drain his opponents energy whenever the button comes into contact with them. But Super Saiyan Vegeta doesn't care about that. In fact, he laughs in this guy's face.

Question 23

Who's this character?

Oh look - two more of those red palm buttons. You know what that means - keep an eye out for your energy supply. Judging by the look on this man's face, he's thinking about nothing besides taking a bank of your energy to use for his nefarious gains. If you're a real Z warrior, you'll stop this at all costs. If not, you can at least prove your wits by clicking the right name below. Choose one or the other.

Question 24

Who's this character?

We're out of robotic territory for now, but we're clearly not out of the woods just yet. This insane Super Saiyan has just come crashing down from the mighty skies above, having traveled through incomprehensible amounts of space to get here. If you've seen him in action in any of his DBZ movies, you'll know exactly how much of a threat he is. It'll take Goku and all the Z warriors to stop him this time, and you can help out by telling them who to look for.

Question 25

Who's this character?

We're in the third Dragon Ball Z Saga, where an unimaginable force threatens the existence of the entire universe. It'll take the work of gods, and gods of gods, and gods of gods of gods, and this little runt right here, to take the evil blob down. Because without this kid and his buddy Trunks, there would be no over powered, overly confident force to face the final DBZ villain. If you remember the saga well, then this question should be a total breeze for you. Just look at his hair!

Question 26

Who's this character?

Who could this pink bubble gum of a DBZ character be? He looks jovial and not nervous at all, despite the sort of challenges that potentially face him. Any fans of DBZ - the Buu saga in particular - will surely know this character, since he played such a huge role in that portion of the series. We're sending a digital wink over to you now. He's strong, loves candy, and has a big heart despite being one of the deadliest beings in the universe.

Question 27

Who's this character?

Every villain will eventually be met by a worthy hero, and Buu eventually had to face... Goku, of course. But before that, Buu in his Super form was in a deadly battle against the character pictured here. He's a Saiyan, for sure - you can tell that just by looking at him. But there's another quality to the character as well - as though he takes on traits of multiple DBZ characters. What could that possibly mean? What's his name, anyway?

Question 28

Who's this character?

Without this character, there would be no Dragon Ball Z series. Or, at the very least, the show would have to go on under a different title. Because, as any fan of the series knows, this character is the magical dragon that's summoned once all 7 Dragon Balls are collected. This is the case on planet Earth, anyway - there's another dragon on Namek, but we'll get to that in a second. For now, let's see if you remember this dragon's name.

Question 29

Who's this character?

With a flash of the Instant Transmission technique, we've found ourselves on Namek, and someone's collected all 7 Dragon Balls! Of course, these Dragon Balls are much larger than the ones on Earth, and the dragon they summon is equally way, way bigger than Earth's dragon. Its powers are also greater - this one can grant three wishes instead of one. Sounds like a familiar idea, but no matter. If you're an avid fanatic of the series, you'll definitely know this one.

Question 30

Who's this character?

It's time to take a little swim down the shore, to a little island where this ancient martial arts master can be found. Well, he might not be ancient, but this character has certainly had his fair share of experience in life. After all, he was considered the strongest human being on the planet for decades before Goku and the Z warriors showed up. He'll probably beat you in an arm wrestling match without even trying, so don't even try.

Question 31

Who's this character?

This character is not only a god - he's a god of a gods. And, not only is he a god of gods - he's a god of gods of gods. As you can imagine, this would make him ultra powerful, but not quite powerful enough to take Majin Buu down without the help of the Z warriors. Understandable, of course, since that giant bubble gum is very strong. Since you've made it this far, we're rooting for you to win it all.

Question 32

Who's this character?

Let's go back to Namek, where arguably the most exciting Saga of the Dragon Ball Z series took place. Most of the excitement definitely came from the clash between Goku and Frieza, but before any of that could go down, we had a nice warmup with Frieza's goons, this guy being second in command of the bunch. Although he seemed incredibly powerful at a certain point, he ended up seeing his end at the hands of a Saiyan, as it tends to go with DBZ villains.

Question 33

Who's this character?

This character is a key member of the Ginyu force - in fact, he's commonly regarded as the second strongest character in the force aside from Captain Ginyu himself. If ever you'd doubt that, just rewatch the part of the Frieza saga where he totally ran right through Vegeta, Krillin and Gohan without expending much effort at all. Of course, once Goku showed up to play, he was quickly dealt with along with the rest of Team Ginyu's members. What's his name?

Question 34

Who's this character?

Who could this character be? He's wearing a scouter, that much is clear - and he seems to be evil, there's no doubt about that. He's also dressed in the same uniform Frieza's henchmen tend to carry, which might suggest something... but we won't say any more than that. After all, you're here because you're supposed to be this big Dragon Ball Z genius or something. Let's find out if you really are - go ahead and name this DBZ villain.

Question 35

Who's this character?

Now, this character is definitely another member of the Ginyu force - that much we can say for sure. What we can't say is his name, but we're sure you can figure that one out for yourself. He got the living daylights beaten out of him by Goku during the Frieza saga, though it was Vegeta who eventually finished him off. We weren't too sad to see him go - the self-proclaimed fastest warrior in the universe didn't end up being fast enough.

Question 36

Who's this character?

This character and the last one worked together to form an incredible fighting duo capable of producing powerful ki blasts that devastate armies. Too bad it's not enough to devastate the Z warriors, otherwise we might have seen a very different story arc play out in the series. Anyway, as a key soldier of the Ginyu Force, this fighter has seen his fair share of combat. All of that ended when he got to Namek, of course - so it goes.

Question 37

Who's this character?

This character might not be any sort of god himself, but he does follow an ungodly god around, which definitely counts for something. Indeed, near the end of the series, he ended up fusing with the Supreme Kai, resulting in a weird mix of an entity that's hard to understand, and even look at. If you're a fan of the series, you'll know exactly what we're talking about. Let's see if you are - name this DBZ character who appeared in the Buu saga.

Question 38

Who's this character?

This character resides in a floating palace above the world, with the god of planet Earth, looking down at everything. If you lived in the DBZ universe, you could find comfort knowing that he's up there somewhere, passing a broom or something. He might not have seen much action in the DBZ series, but the original Dragon Ball had him showing off his martial arts skills to Goku, which initially proved to be too much for the young Saiyan to handle.

Question 39

Who's this character?

Speaking of god, here he is. He might not rank super high on the god tier ladder, but he's still a worthy god nonetheless. He didn't start out this way, of course - when we were first introduced to him in the series, this little green man was just a little Namekian boy, trying to help his people survive as an alien tyrant took over his planet. Even god has a name - if you can get it right, maybe you can maintain your score right to the end.

Question 40

Who's this character?

We might as well enter the green part of our quiz, before it's too late to do so. Although this character doesn't receive any screen time after the Frieza saga, true Dragon Ball Z fans always keep in mind the fact that he exists within Piccolo, having provided him the strength of Fusion before his confrontation with Frieza's second form - and what a glorious clash that was. If you really are a bona fide fan, you'll remember this Namekian's name.

Question 41

Who's this character?

The god of planet Earth might be a younger Namekian now, but for a long time it was this ole salt right here. He landed on Earth a long time ago from planet Namek, and earned his way to the title of god throughout his life's hardships. Without him, there wouldn't have been much of a closing arc to the original Dragon Ball series. If you aren't familiar with that, you might get this one wrong. So let's hope you are.

Question 42

Who's this character?

It looks like we've slipped into the world of the dead - oh well. It's not so bad, since life after death in the Dragon Ball Z universe seems to be just as lively as life before death. You might remember this warrior from Goku's arc in the other world, when he participated in a grand martial arts tournament. The ultimate battle was between our hero and this green guy right here. Is he a Namekian? Who knows - let's start with his name for now.

Question 43

Who's this character?

If this evil demon is staring you down, you'd better hope that there's an invincible barrier separating you both. Because if there isn't, you'll be in for a world of hurt, and that's a near certainty. There comes an additional risk if you happen to find this villain with the Majin "M" stamped on his forehead. That symbol is even worse news for you, since it means that the villain is controlled by the evil wizard Babidi. In any case, let's run away and click his name before we do.

Question 44

Who's this character?

It looks like we've reached the little planet in the other world, where the god of gods resides. It's important to pay this character some respect, since he does oversee a significant part of outer space, making sure everything is progressing smoothly. He might appear to be all fun and games, but that's surely just an act. Otherwise, who would be running the galaxy? At any rate, if you've been paying the slightest attention throughout the series, you should get this one right without sweating it.

Question 45

Who's this character?

We're still in the after life, and we may or may not be in a mini section of kings in this quiz. Regardless, let's proceed - this character is a sort of gateway guard for the after life. When a spirit passes on, he usually takes care of the paperwork and ensures no one misbehaves when given their judgement. Raditz did, as Goku discovered, and this character quickly sent him right to hell. That's an impressive showing of his strength, but what's his name?

Question 46

Who's this character?

Whether or not we're at the end of a mini section of kings in this quiz is still unclear, but regardless, we will still go on. We were introduced to this character through several flashbacks throughout the Dragon Ball Z series. Of course, these happened in the mind of a certain popular Saiyan, though we actually can't go further into that without giving the answer away. Instead, just take a close look at his face, and it should become clear to you.

Question 47

Who's this character?

With a brain like this character's, it's no wonder why he's choosing to take a little dip to cool off. Though we're not sure why he left his lab coat on. Anyway, if you didn't already know by your experience with the show - or your observation of his hair color and type - this character happens to be Bulma's father, and his genius almost matches hers. After all, he built the gravity chamber as well as several space ships, which is impressive.

Question 48

Who's this character?

We're almost at the end of our little adventure, but we'll recap to the Buu saga before we let you go. After all, this is where the series wrapped up, but before it did we had the chance to meet several cool new characters. Here's a high school student who went to class with Gohan. They shared the same hobby of crime fighting, and would frequently encounter each other on the harsh DBZ streets while dishing out justice to petty villains. What was her name, again?

Question 49

Who's this character?

This character simply radiates strength, and there's no wonder why. After all, he may or may not be a perfect fusion of the two strongest characters in the entire Dragon Ball Z series, which may or may not be made obvious by their hairstyle and Saiyan-like facial expression. At any rate, this character laid a serious whooping over Super Buu, that is before he was swallowed on purpose in order to free the Z fighters. Let's see if you remember what he called himself.

Question 50

Who's this character?

In a sense, this character is a variation of the last one, featured in a Dragon Ball Z movie rather than in the progression of the show. That's why only a real fan will know his name, since only real fans watch the movie. The way this character was formed is also different, using a certain dance rather than a certain pair of earrings. With that final clue, we'll leave you - name the DBZ character, and discover your true score.
