It's been over twenty years since the first season of Buffy The Vampire Slayer hit our screens, and convinced a whole generation of women that they could be badass warriors... and still wear cute clothes and have fun with their friends! The peppy, perky vampire slayer changed a lot between the first season and the last, though. Not only did her trusty Scooby Gang expand well beyond Willow and Xander, but she finished high school, went to college, dropped out, died, gained a sister, lost her mother... and becomes a much sadder, darker, but ultimately stronger woman than the lollipop-sucking cheerleader who appeared in the pilot.

What is the name of the club the teens hang out at?
Throughout the series, the scooby gang hang out at one particular spot in Sunnydale - this club. The club has live music, a dancefloor, pool, food, and later (when the teens are legal) we also see them drinking booze there. It's also been attacked by vampires and monsters more than once, but it seems that this is the only place to go hang out in town, so everyone in Sunnydale just keeps on coming back! (And of course, everywhere in Sunnydale has been attacked many times).

As the Master continues to try and plan his return to the world above, Buffy keeps getting in his way. She's taking out his servants, and he finally gets angry enough to contract a group of medieval vampire assassins to come to town and kill her. However, with the help of Angel, she is able to get away from them, and they return to the Master to offer their lives in penance for failing to do the job that they were brought there for.

During the first season, we know very little about Angel - although his backstory gets fully explored later in the show. However, when they do figure out that he is a vampire, they realize that he is not like the rest of his kind... and he has some ink to prove it. She meets a 'boy' online, and starts talking to him every day, slowly falling for him... until they find out that he isn't a boy at all, but an ancient demonic entity called Moloch, who was accidentally released into the computer system at school! Obviously, the Slayer didn't intend to let an ancient evil loose on her friend, though. It turns out that when Moloch was last in the world, a group of monks were able to use magic to trap him into a book, where he was trapped for centuries. However, when the book arrived at Sunnydale, what did Buffy do to it that released him?
Which principal replaced Flutie?
After Principal Flutie was brutally murdered by the hyena-possessed students in his office, a new principal came to Sunnydale - one that had a very different attitude to his predecessor. This principal hated children (especially teenagers) and saw them as awful things that had to be controlled. Obviously, Buffy ran afoul of him plenty of times in her work as the Slayer, before he too was eventually killed. In fact, he was also eaten - although not till the third season, when he is eaten by a giant snake.

He and Buffy team up to find the real killer...
What do the Scoobys do in the talent show?
When the Scoobys are drafted into the school talent show, they struggle to come up with something to perform - especially as they are also running around trying to solve some demonic murders and dealing with the 'creepy' dummy that they think might have something to do with it all. However, they do eventually perform something together - that they chose because they figured it was the easiest thing to do without having any actual talents (that they can display on stage, that is!).
What is the first nightmare to come true?
The residents of Sunnydale often have to deal with things that would be considered most people's worst nightmares, but in 'Nightmares', they have to deal with their literal worst fears coming true! Things start slowly at first, with just one or two nightmares coming to life... but soon the town is turning into a horror show of random fears, and Buffy has to discover what (or who) it is causing this situation - while fighting her own worst terror of becoming a vampire herself.
What is Xander revealed to be afraid of?
In 'Nightmares', we learn a little about the worst fears of everyone in the Scooby Gang when they start coming to life. Giles reveals that he is afraid of being unable to read, and of losing Buffy. Willow is terrified of public performance. Buffy is afraid that her parents divorce was her fault, that her father doesn't like her, and most of all, that she will become a vampire. Xander, meanwhile, has two fears come to life - one is being in his underwear in class - what is the other?

Eventually, in 'Nightmares', Buffy realizes that the cause of all this horror is actually a young boy, who was brutally beaten by his Little League coach for losing a game, and who is now in a coma. In 'Out Of Mind, Out Of Sight', Buffy and the Scoobies deal with something that they have never encountered before - an invisible villain who isn't a ghost! It turns out that this is actually a living girl, who was a student at Sunnydale high. However, she was so constantly ignored by the other students and even the teachers, that she actually became invisible... and twisted. Furious at the 'popular' people for ignoring her, she sets out to attack them in revenge.
Who takes Marcie away?
In the end, Marcie very nearly manages to carve up Cordelia's face... yikes! However, Buffy and the Scoobies manage to stop her before it's too late... and then discover that someone else is interested in the invisible girl: people from the government. Two agents from this organization take her away, and the episode ends with her being led into a room full of invisible students (so she's not the only one) - who are being trained to work as government spies and assassins.
Which dance was Buffy going to when she died?
Buffy may survive the entire show, but she only manages it thanks to more than one resurrection. She actually dies a few times throughout Buffy The Vampire Slayer, and the first time is in the very first season of the show. All she wants is to go to a school dance, like a normal teenager, in a gorgeous white dress. However, that's not what the Slayer gets to do, and instead she has to head into the Hellmouth to fight the Master.
Name the computer teacher who is also a pagan
Although Giles is really the only major staff member who the Scoobies deal with, there is one teacher at Sunnydale who knows about all the things that go bump in the night, and who helps the Scoobies in their mission - the computer teacher. The gang learn that she is a techno pagan, and can use her witchy ways to help fight the forces of Darkness. She later even dates Giles, although that is ruined when Angel turns evil and murders her.
Which vamp bites Joyce?
Although Joyce is the mother of a vampire slayer, she doesn't actually know what her daughter does for quite some time, although she does figure it out before the end. Long before that, however, she is actually bitten by a vampire, although it doesn't kill her, and she isn't turned, either. She ends up thinking that she somehow tripped and fell on a barbecue fork... but who was it that actually sunk their fangs into the neck of the Slayer's mother.
Where is the Hellmouth revealed to be located?
It's known from the very start that Sunnydale is on a Hellmouth - where the barriers between worlds is thin, and there is access to various hell dimensions as a result. The Hellmouth tends to attract vampires and other monsters, which explains why there are so many of them living in this particular corner of California. However, there is one specific location that ends up coming into play in the first season, when a demon bursts out of the Hellmouth into this location specifically.
What weapon did Buffy take to face the Master?
When Buffy went to face the Master in the season one finale, she knew that she was going to die - thanks to the prophecy and her own dreams. However, this Slayer isn't about to go down without a fight! How does Buffy die in the season finale?
Buffy may die in the season finale, but don't worry, she comes right back to life - and it's not the first time that is going to happen to the Slayer! However, the first time she dies, what is it that kills her? She is taken down by the Master himself, who fulfills the prophecy and is released through Buffy's death in the underground caverns where he has been hiding and waiting to rise. Of course, when she comes back to life she is able to beat him, though!
