Every wrestling fan wants to believe they have a strong knowledge of evaluating talent. This is especially true when it comes to the characters and roles being played by wrestlers. Fans are never shy to critique a wrestler for doing a poor job in their role. Wrestlers playing the face characters have the toughest job as they must convince fans to cheer for them. Almost every legendary performer in the wrestling industry has agreed that it is easier to play the role of a heel to get fans to boo them than it is to get the fans on their side.
You will be evaluating current and past WWE superstars that played the face role during their time on the big stage. Please only judge them based on how they did as a face character. After you give your opinion on the wrestlers in the quiz, we will evaluate your job evaluating the talents of the WWE. Find out if you would do a good job as the General Manager or promoter of a wrestling promotion. This one is all about the faces so ignore their work as heels. Roman Reigns
Roman Reigns is currently being pushed as the biggest face in WWE today. The company wants fans to treat him like the top star, but the reaction is polarizing. Given the work you’ve seen from Reigns over the past few years, do you think he is awesome or awful as a face?
Daniel Bryan
One General Manager on the quiz here is former WWE wrestler Daniel Bryan. We currently see him on the Smackdown brand running the show, but most of his best memories came in the ring. How did you feel about the work of Bryan when he was playing a face character?

John Cena is another legend still on the WWE roster today in a part-time role. WWE put the brand on Cena’s shoulders as the face of the company for the past decade. Cena was met with polarizing responses for most of his time as a top star. Did you enjoy his work as a face?
Sasha Banks
The women’s division has become one of the brightest spots in WWE today. Sasha Banks has been one of the main reasons for this with her matches opening eyes. The main roster run has seen Banks played a face character for most of her time on the big stage. Do you think Sasha is good at playing the face?
Dean Ambrose
Dean Ambrose broke out during his run in The Shield. Following the split, Ambrose has remained a face character for the entirety of his singles run. It saw him win the WWE Championship and get into the brand split as the champion. How would you rate the work of Ambrose as a face?
AJ Styles
Most wrestling fans would agree that AJ Styles is one of the best wrestlers in the world, if not the absolute best. Styles has proven he can have classic matches with ease when put in the right spot with the right opponent. WWE is pushing him as the face of Smackdown. Do you like his performance as a face?
Shawn Michaels
The legendary Shawn Michaels is a popular choice when breaking down the greatest in-ring performers in wrestling history. Michaels was viewed as being a jerk backstage while portraying a face character in the 90s proving life doesn’t have to imitate art. His performances often stole the show with iconic matches. How did you feel about his face character?
Edge
Another retired legend to have an incredible career with WWE is Edge. The run of Edge saw him serve in every role from singles to tag team, main event to mid-card and face to heel. All led to him becoming one of the most decorated stars in wrestling history. Do you think Edge was awesome or awful when portraying a face?
The Miz
The Miz is known for being one of the top heels in wrestling today. However, he has spent some time playing a face character. Miz had a few Intercontinental Championship reigns before he returned to the heel character. Most of you likely prefer Miz as a heel, but do you think he did well as a face?
Trish Stratus
Trish Stratus reminded fans of her legendary status when she made a surprise appearance as the 40th entrant in the 2018 Royal Rumble. The in-ring work of Straus helped add credibility to the women’s division at a time when they were struggling. How did you feel about her time playing a face character?
R-Truth
Veteran wrestler R-Truth is still a member of the WWE roster, but his best days are clearly behind him. WWE had him as one of the consistent mid-carders for most of his run. R-Truth had a few short spurts in main event angles. Do you think he was awesome or awful as a face?
Sheamus
Sheamus is now playing a heel in The Bar tag team with Cesaro, but some of his best moments came as a face. Both the WWE Championship and World Championship belts were won by Sheamus during his singles run. Unfortunately, it looks like he will never return to that level. Do you believe he was a good face?
CM Punk
The controversial CM Punk walked out on WWE after backstage frustrations. Fans still miss him today due to the legacy he left behind during his run as a top star. Punk has a slew of memorable matches and promos to his name. How do you feel about his time as a face?

The Hall of Fame career of Mick Foley saw him become the most unlikely star of the Attitude Era. During a time where jacked physiques were the normal, Foley succeeded against the odds with his modest look. The hardcore matches of Foley were unlike anyone else’s performances in the company. Apollo Crews
Apollo Crews is a young star looking to take his career to the next level. The role of Crews has him as a part of the Titus Worldwide Brand with Titus O’Neill as his manager. Crews’ athleticism is among the most impressive on the WWE roster today. How do you like his face work?
New Day
The tag team act of the New Day is still going strong after a few years of success. Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods and Big E each contribute to the trio of entertainment. Both face and heel roles have been played by the group during their run. What is your assessment of them as faces?
The Undertaker
Regardless of if The Undertaker ever wrestles again or not, his career will be remembered as an obvious success story. The countless memorable matches and moments delivered by Undertaker makes him among the most iconic performers in wrestling history. Many fans preferred him as a heel. How did you feel about Undertaker as a face?
Dolph Ziggler
Dolph Ziggler has been a fixture on the WWE roster for a long time now. The in-ring work of Ziggler has been his bread and butter since joining the main roster. Ziggler is struggling to get to his goal of becoming a consistent main eventer. Time will tell if he achieves it. How do you rate his overall work as a face?
Finn Balor
Another wrestling trying to get to the top of the mountain in WWE right now is Finn Balor. The main roster debut saw him become the first-ever Universal Champion before he was forced to relinquish it due to injury. Balor has struggled to move up the card since his return. Alberto Del Rio
Alberto Del Rio achieved a great deal of success in WWE in a short time. Things however spiraled with him becoming a controversial figure and essentially blacklisted. Del Rio is still working in Impact Wrestling and hopes to return to WWE one day. How would you rate his work as a face character?

The legendary Lita added a dynamic to the women’s division that was never there before her. Lita did high risk moves and had a character that fans enjoyed. We saw her go back and forth from the face to heel roles. What is your opinion of her work in the ring as a face?
Charlotte Flair
Charlotte Flair is arguably the biggest name in the women’s division right now. WWE has placed her in a huge role as the division started to get pushed with relevance. Flair made history during her run as a heel character, but she is currently a face on Smackdown. How do you evaluate Charlotte as a face?
Steve Austin
The iconic Steve Austin is a name you always must mention when breaking down wrestling history. We saw Austin work as both face and heel characters in the main event scene for a few years. Most fans have fond memories of one more than the other. What did you think of Austin as a face?
Bret Hart
Another legend to do play a variety of different characters in his WWE career is Bret Hart. The Canadian wrestling star went from being a role model to the fans into an anti-American villain. Hart’s in-ring work was always great, but how did you feel about his time as a face character?
Jason Jordan
Jason Jordan is one of the young stars WWE wants to elevate into a top role going forward. An injury will keep him on the sidelines for quite some time, but he has storylines with Seth Rollins and Kurt Angle ready for him when he returns. What is your opinion on Jordan’s role as a face?

The late Eddie Guerrero is still an inspiration for many of today’s wrestlers. Guerrero worked a style that is more prevalent today as the current core of wrestlers grew up admiring him. Fans still miss him today over a decade after he passed away. How did you feel about Eddie’s face work?

Hulk Hogan was the face of wrestling for over a decade after leading WWE to the mainstream. The various characters of Hogan saw him play both face and heel roles throughout his long career. Depending on which you prefer, you likely have a strong opinion one way or the other about Hogan. Do you like him as a face?
Big Show
It became a joke how often Big Show switched back and forth between the face and heel characters in his WWE career. The big man is clearly a Hall of Famer that has done everything one can accomplish in the wrestling industry. We will likely see him retire sooner than later. How did you feel about his work as a face?
Becky Lynch
Becky Lynch was one of the most important women in the women’s revolution coming to WWE. From a strong run in NXT to having a few major matches after joining the main roster, Lynch proved she was one of the best in-ring performers. Becky has been a face character over the past few years. How do you rank her work in the role?
Randy Orton
Randy Orton is still a member of the WWE roster after almost fourteen years in the main event picture. The role of Orton is a gatekeeper in the upper mid-card as newer wrestlers get a chance at the top spots. Orton has played both face and heel roles multiple times throughout his career. What do you feel about his time as a face?
The Rock
The Rock is working hard in Hollywood to add to his legacy in the acting world. There’s no doubt he’s already an icon in the professional wrestling world after his massive WWE success. Rock had charisma on a level above the other wrestlers he worked with. How would you rank The Rock as a face in WWE?
