When Stephanie Meyer penned the first book in the Twilight series, it's safe to assume she had no idea what she was actually getting herself into. Years later, the book was selected to be adapted into a film by Lionsgate. It was an indie, somewhat low budget feature, but the response that it received from the public was incredible. Some loved the series, some hated it, but no matter how they felt about it, most people had some sort of an opinion. It became one of the most iconic franchises of the 2010s, spanning over a total of five feature-length films.
The main character, Bella Swan, was a teenage girl that moved back to a dreary small town in Washington after her mother remarried. She was given a new lease on life when she met Edward Cullen, an attractive student at her high school that she had no idea was a vampire, and the two of them entered into a romantic relationship.
