Who Said It? Disney Villain Edition

They are nasty, cruel, diabolical, and down right hilarious almost all of the time. Our Disney villains have made just as big a name for themselves as our heroes have. You gotta hand it to em' they really are the stars of the show. Even though they spend the entire hour and a half trying to take down the good guys, in really horrific ways we might add, they still have a knack for being lovable (the killer song and dance sequences help with that). It's true by the end of most films we are happy to see the good guys come out on top, but still just once it would be nice to see one of the bad guys not get completely humiliated during the finale (except you Jafar).

If you are like us, and have followed the stories of our villains as closely as you have our beloved heroes, this quiz was made for you! Some of these may be easy, but most we know for a fact will be difficult. Apart from needing a good memory to pass this quiz, you will also need a strong heart, because some of these dastardly quotes are downright bone chilling.

Question 1

“Well forgive me for not leaping for joy. Bad back, you know.”

Oh wow I can feel the sarcasm in my bones. The person in question here is clearly not very impressed, and is doing little to convince us otherwise. I can't imagine any Disney writers actually creating a scary villain who also happened to be plagued with a bad back can you? So now we've determined, they're a liar, and a one with an attitude at that, but can you use those clues to help you remember who said the quote?

Question 2

“I warn you, child. If I lose my temper, you lose your head! Understand?!”

Well that is a bit extreme don't you think? ... As stated in the quote the villain is clearly addressing a child here, and from the rest of the sentence I gather they probably are not stable enough to be babysitting. The villain in question seems to have a very bad temper, surprisingly enough not all of them do! A lot of them in fact are very nonchalant about most things. Can you remember which angry little monster said these words?

Question 3

“The most beautiful girl in town, that makes her the best! And don’t I deserve the best?”

UGH what is with these male villains?! Why must they be the biggest creeps in the world? Seriously guys, get yourselves some real villain goals like taking over the world, or becoming all powerful, and leave the women alone. WE ARE NOT INTERESTED! They never learn though do they. If Belle could fall in love with Beast, there is no reason why these villains couldn't find a lady if they would just quit trying to own them. Who said it?

Question 4

“Dear, this whole romance that you’ve invented, just proves you’re too naive to be here. Why would he like you?”

Wow, I can feel my self esteem shrinking each time I re-read this quote. Talk about giving someone a complex. You see this is actually a great example of the differences between male and female villain evilness. The men want to trap and marry the young girl, but the women either want them out of the picture out of pure jealously, or in this case just want to mess with their heads so bad that they will never find happiness. What's worse?!

Question 5

“I’ve never liked your spinach puffs”

Ouch! Talk about hitting someone where it hurts. It is true I've never attempted making spinach puffs, but I can only imagine the heart break i'd feel if someone had been lying to me all along about how much they enjoyed my puffs. Evil is a tricky thing, it is not always made up of death threats, and creepy marriage proposals. Evil is knowing exactly how to hurt everyone around you in a way that would only effect them. DIABOLICAL!

Question 6

“You poor, simple fools. Thinking you could defeat me. Me! The mistress of all evil!”

Damn, I would NOT want to be in the room when this quote went down. I mean, I know the villain in question most likely was defeated in the end, but by the sounds of it she got some pretty good shots in first. Also what a killer nickname to appoint yourself right?! Can you think back and remember the scene where this evil lady lost her temper, or better yet the actual name of the Mistress of all evil?

Question 7

“Ooh, I quiver with fear!”

Yeah, I'm not buying it. I know reading the words are not the same as hearing them, but I swear if you look close enough at this quote you will actually see sarcasm dripping off the words. It take's quite a lot to scare our nasty villains, and it would take even more to actually get them to ever admit to feeling the emotion. Which villain played it cool, by never showing their fear, and made us laugh with their sassy sarcasm?

Question 8

“You’re speechless, I see. A fine quality in a wife.”

CRINGE! These outdated meanies are killing me! I know they are cartoons and what ever but man, I wish I could lock up who ever said this ( I'd settle for one of the writers even). The villain in question here is clearly trying to scare a leading women, and funnily enough I actually think the prospect of being married to one of these evil-doers is way scarier than any death threats they've made over the years. Which creep said it?

Question 9

“Death is the only adventure you have left!”

Well those are not very comforting words are they? It is funny to read these quotes after already having finished all the movies, and knowing that these villains who all started off so confident, and tossed around statements like this one actually all ended up losing, and most of the time being ridiculed by the entire village. HA! Which overly confident bad guy thought they were just about the win, when all of a sudden it was them who lost?

Question 10

“Don’t underestimate the importance of body language!”

We would never! I will give you a hint for this one, if you try singing it instead of saying it, you may be surprised at how fast you can place the villain who said these words. As evil as these bad guys can be, they still have the ability to drop advice bombs on us, just like the hero's in the movies always try to do. Honestly sometimes the villains advice is more valuable. Can you remember who said it?

Question 11

“He’s a guy! They’re all the same!”

Some more great villain advice for you ladies! O.k that's not 100% true, not all men are the same (sorry boys I didn't mean it). This quote however is hilarious, even if its not the most accurate. When we try and think about what made these villains evil in the first place, there is always a good chance it has something to do with them being burned in the past, so this quote might be telling us more about the villains history than anything else.

Question 12

“I’m surrounded by idiots.”

O.k it's fair to think this quote could have came out of any one of the Disney villains. None of them ever seem too happy to have company around do they? Most of the time the villains come along with some sort of lackey, but even they usually do more to upset their masters than to actually help them. Running through the list of queens, kings, sea monsters, and stepmothers, can you remember which ONE villain actually uttered these unimpressed words?

Question 13

“They're not like you and me, which means they must be evil.”

Well that is just a horrible way to look at the world. Jeez going through these quotes one by one really makes you wonder if these classic films would have even been allowed to be released today, I'm thinking some serious re-writes would have been done at the very least. This villain is clearly very ignorant, among other horrible qualities I am sure, but if you know who said it, then you also know they got theirs in the end. Who said it?

Question 14

“Life’s full of tough choices, isn’t it?”

They are not wrong here. As evil, and misguided as these villains are I find them more and more relatable the older I get, (NOT YOU JAFAR, YOU CREEP!) but as for the rest of them, they all seem to have some real world views on things that we didn't all understand as children. Now finally understand the parts only the parents laughed at back in the day. Oh to be young again...Can you remember which villain said this quote?

Question 15

“After all, there are things so much worse than death!”

Dumbledore is that you? No, unfortunately this quiz is strictly Disney, but it really does sound like something he would say doesn't it? While I believe Dumbledore would have said it with the intention of diminishing fear, I get the sense that the actually speaker of this quote meant it in a much more menacing way. So having already told you it was NOT a Dumbledore quote, can you remember which of the 4 villains listed did actually say it?

Question 16

“Here in town it’s only she, who is as beautiful as me”

Kind of nice, kind of conceited? Either way it's not the meanest thing we've heard so far on this list of diabolical quotes is it? A lot of our villains do tend to think quite highly of themselves. I do not really understand why, seeing as how they are bested by the heroes almost every time, and what's worse is that they're almost always defeated in a very public and humiliating way. Maybe time to switch sides huh guys? Who said it?

Question 17

"Well, she's better than I thought. At this rate, he'll be kissing her by sunset for sure!"

It is your own fault for always putting a clause in the curse, where a handsome man can swoop in, pucker up, and complete dissolve all of your evil plans! I can not for the life of me figure out why they haven't changed up the magic behind these curses yet. I will give some credit to the writers of frozen here, while their curse as well was defeated by true loves kiss, the kiss in fact came from Anna's sister and not some suited up prince.

Question 18

“I am the king, I can do whatever I want.”

I am not 100% sure of how this all works exactly, but I am pretty certain being king does NOT permit you to do what ever you please (though we surely can double check that one later). Can you imagine living in a place where someone like Prince Hans, or Jafar actually ruled over you? *Shivers*. Can you remember which Disney villain actually made their way up to a point of power before their inevitable downfall? Who said the quote?

Question 19

“A snake, am I? Perhaps you’d like to see how sss-snake-like I can be”

If you can't guess this one right, you maybe shouldn't be taking this quiz at all. This is an iconic line for anyone who grew up, or even existed during the 90's. I can picture the scene so clearly in my head, and I haven't even seen the film in probably 10 years. Are you seeing the scene with me right now? Can you picture exactly what is going down here, and in what context that quote was used? Who said it?

Question 20

"I’ll see him wriggle like a worm on a hook”

I am not one for fishing, and the worms are only just a small part of the reason why. This villain however does not seem to be squeamish in the least, even though I am fairly certain this was a metaphor, any they do not actually have plans of hooking someone, but who knows really? Actually I do I wrote the quiz, and I am hoping you will know too! Can you remember which of our classic villains made this threat?

Question 21

“The world is cruel. The world is wicked”

They are not exactly wrong here are they? As much as we may like this to be an empty quote, it definitely has some significance behind it. While I do not believe the world is quite as black and white as this villain seems to think, I do believe the world can be a tough place. The real moral of the story here though, is that if we would stop listening to these no-good evil people, maybe things wouldn't be so cruel and wicked.

Question 22

“It’s called a cruel irony, like my dependence on you”

HA! This quote is all kinds of sassy and I am loving it! Over the years Disney has done an excellent job in including humor with their villains. If you remember back to our original evil Queen from snow white, she was not funny at all. She was evil to the core and that was it, but then as we grew the movies seemed to do the same. Along came Hades, and Scar, Ursula, Yzma, and countless other joke-cracking albeit still evil villains.

Question 23

“And there, my faithful huntsman, you will kill her!”

So the huntsman thing might be a bit of a give away, but I need to make sure you guys are all still following. This is actually a fairly famous quote, and is relevant not only to the classic Disney film it comes from, but it is also used in the AMAZING television series Once Upon A Time. Oh you've never watched it? I will save your spot in the quiz, go binge at least 2 seasons (I'm telling you, it's worth it).

Question 24

“The world is dark and selfish and cruel. If it finds even the slightest ray of sunshine. It destroys it”

Now this is going a bit far I think. They are right, the world can be dark (it's called nigh time weirdo), and selfish and cruel, but I wouldn't go as far as to say it destroys every ray of sunlight it finds. JEEZ take it easy. It's obvious from the quote, the speaker is trying to frighten or diminish perhaps the dreams of who ever they are speaking to. Can you remember which of the 4 listed below said this?

Question 25

“More good women have been lost to marriage than to war, famine, disease and disaster”

BOOM! One of my all time favorite villain quotes. It is so obviously a women, I am not even going to pretend by sticking a male option in with the correct answer. This one is for you ladies! In all honesty I don't think the speaker's calculations are all that correct, but her point remains pretty valid. The moral of the story: Do not marry someone simply because they are dreamy, or a prince even, do not lose yourself to someone else.

Question 26

“Oh. Pay no attention to HER.”

This one may be a bit tricky. Most of our leading evil ladies have a bad track record of jealously towards younger, and pretty women than them. Normally my advice for them would be to focus less on outer appearances, but seeing as though their inner appearances are probably worse than anything the have going on on the outside, I guess ill let them have their jealousy. Looking back at all the evil women Disney has created over the years, can you remember which this quote belongs to?

Question 27

“I must say, I really felt quite distressed at not receiving an invitation.”

The sarcasm is real here! This is another great example of how relatable these villains have gotten with age. Oh I am not invited to your party? Great then I won't need to feel bad when I do not show up, cause of my Netflix plans with my dog. If you guys have been keeping up with even the newest Disney releases you should be able to figure this one out fairly easily. Which nasty little beasty said these words?

Question 28

“My favorite part of the game. Sudden death.”

Yikes. That's pretty scary. I am not one for sports in general but I cant imagine that would ever be my favorite part of anything. I however am not a Disney villain. The bad guy who said this, is clearly more into the action than me, and seems to be very pumped about the prospect of seeing someone slaughtered. Has anyone ever asked what the age requirement is for these films?! Almost done guys, which of our villains said this?

Question 29

“Life’s not fair, is it? You see I, I shall never be king. And you shall never see the light of another day.”

It seems a bit unfair to kill someone, and deem it alright since you'll never be king doesn't it? This is a very typical way of thinking for Disney villains, they wouldn't want you to know but they are a very sensitive bunch, who use very little logic when dishing out curses, or punishment. Can you remember which bitter villain threatened this life, and compared the tragedy to him never getting to be king? (Get over it dude, none of us are kings!)

Question 30

“Magic Mirror on the wall, who is the fairest one of all?”

For real now if you don't know the correct answer to this, go back to your anime or what ever it was you were watching while the rest of us were rewinding our Disney VHS tapes for the thousandth time. This line has been used over and over again, as references, re-built as a new quote, and even in re-adaptions of the original film. Do you remember which evil leading lady said these legendary words, earning her her place on top of the ultimate villain list of all time?

Question 31

"HA! You really should have thought of that before you became peasants"

Well that is just mean. No one chooses to be peasants! What a word to use to describe someone in the first place! It seems a little heartless, and I am sure their are synonyms available. There are only a hand full of movie options where villagers, or commoners are refereed to as peasants so if you use your deductive reasoning skills you should be able to get this one right. Can you quickly remember the lines of the 4 villains listed below, and remember which one of them had this one?

Question 32

“Alright, keep the little beasts for all I care! Do what you want with them! Drown them!"

It almost killed me to even have this quote in here. If you are like me and know exactly what's being talked about in this quote, you would feel the same. So let's make this quick and painless, without going to deep into detail over what exactly this villain is saying to drown. Below you have 4 down right evil villains listed, all you need to do is remember which one of them said these horrific words, and then we can all move on.

Question 33

"I'll find her! I'll find her if I have to burn down all of Paris!"

The Paris thing may be a bit of a give -away, but you guys have done so well so far, I figured I throw you a bone on this one. While it is true more than 1 film takes place in France, this quote should be recognizable enough for you to know which one the line actually comes from. Side note: how much do you love that not all of these movies are based out of America? Keeps things super interesting, and allows for jokes, and references, for everyone around the world.

Question 34

"Were I a bettin' man - and I'm not, I stay away from games of chance - I'd wager I'm in the company of visiting royalty!"

Interesting, you would think most of our villains would be exactly the kind of people who would enjoy games of chance, considering they always risk their entire lives work, on a plan with so many holes in it. This one however seems to see things a bit differently, maybe they are the smartest of the bunch? Naw, they are all idiots. Can you remember exactly which villain does not enjoy betting, but still had the pleasure of meeting with royalty?

Question 35

"C'mon, boys, won't you shake a poor sinners hand?"

Let's be real, I do not think I would shake any of their hands. For one a lot of them don't even have hands, and for 2 the ones who do have hands, well jeez I do not even want to think about where they've had them. All that to say, my issue isn't so much to do with the fact that they're sinners, but more about the fact that they're gross and creepy (sorry guys). Can you remember who said it?
