World of Warcraft hit the gaming market with momentum and soon became the most played MMORPG on the internet. Their staggering number of active users is estimated to be between 5-10 million. In October 2010, World of Warcraft had 12 million subscribers. Since WOW's release, there have been numerous games that have attempted to copy its formula, but none could match the magical essence contained in World of Warcraft.
World of Warcraft’s most recently released expansion, Legion, has been praised by critics much like the series’ other expansions. In this expansion, players can instantly boost to level 100 from the start which skips the long levelling process. If you haven’t had a chance to play World of Warcraft yet, jump in because all you need is the base game which now includes five expansions. World of Warcraft is set to release their seventh expansion titled “Battle of Azeroth” sometime in 2018.
So far, Blizzard has added 13 playable races in World of Warcraft which further adds to the unique experience for each player. Split between two factions, races are directly in conflict with one another and face off in PVP arenas.
