There's a reason that Spider-Man is one of the most popular characters in the world. Peter Parker is the everyman, the working class superhero, the regular person that all of us can relate to in a world full of revived WWII super soldiers, Norse gods, and billionaires in billion-dollar armors. Peter is a responsible guy just trying to do the right thing, and all of us can relate to that.

But sometimes, we also relate to the villains.

Spider-Man has a plethora of popular, engaging villains, arguably one of the best rogues' galleries in comic book history. These foes have been brought to life throughout the wallcrawler's movies, and some have thrilled audiences more than others. But what makes Spider-Man's bad guys so unique, and so interesting, is that they are also regular people. Just like Peter, these bad guys are villains that could have easily been any one of us, if it wasn't for one bad day that ruined their lives.
