Pick a rival.
Who do you want to beat at their own game, while in their own game? Do you think you have what it takes to defeat one of these four conniving characters? Who would you rather see on the other side of a pistol draw, or maybe something less dramatic?
What motivates you?
Is there a driving force behind all of your work? Is there something that keeps you going when you would rather take a nap or sit in front of the TV with a bag of chips? You need good motivation waiting for you in your video game world.
How long could you survive in the wild.
Are you prepared to explore the wilderness with nothing but the clothes on your back and the items in your inventory, or would you rather have a roof over your head at all times? What kind of world could you survive in?
Pick a genre.
Are you all about fantasy, or do you like your stories grounded in reality? Is adventure what pumps through your veins, or is it love? Which genre means the most to you? You may be spending a lot of time in it.
Do you prefer skill or strategy games?
Especially in the games that you choose, do you prefer to sit back and think through what to do or just rush forward and figure it out once in combat? Alternatively, do you prefer to leave all of that behind and just play a relaxing game?
How long do you play at a time?
When you play a video game, do you sit down and play for hours or do you just play through a bit at a time? Is one quest or level enough, or do you play until your eyes can't focus anymore?

Care to go the entire rest of your life without cheese? What about music? What would you listen to without it? You have to say goodbye to one of these things, so it’s time to scrunch your face up and decide.
