Comic books have left readers begging for more for decades, and the rise of comic book movies has left many fans writing their own stories in their heads. Comics have a unique way of kicking our imagination into overdrive, and we cannot help but write our own stories for our favorite characters. While we may never become the next Stan Lee or Scott Snyder, the thoughts that we have about our favorite characters are more than enough to make us happy.
Over the years, comic book characters have thrown hands with some of the biggest and baddest people in the universe, coming out on top and saving the world in the process. But, as we have seen on a number of occasions, our favorite heroes can duke it out among themselves on occasion. We don't always like to see characters we love throw down, but with tensions always high, scuffles are bound to happen. In the case of Civil War, teams of heroes will find themselves fighting people that they called friends.
Today, we are going to pit some of your favorite Marvel characters against one another. Heroes will fight heroes, and villains will fight villains. Pick the winners of these bouts to see if you're a true believer!
Who Would Win: Wolverine Or Cyclops?
Our first battle is going to take two of the most popular characters from the X-Men and put them against one another. Whether it is due to leadership or a love triangle, Wolverine and Cyclops have never been the best of friends, and tempers can quickly escalate between these two men.
Who Would Win: Drax Or Hulk?
Both of these giant fighters are no stranger to demolishing their opposition, but what would happen if these two beings collided? Both have shown incredible strength in combat, but the Hulk is far stronger. Drax, however, may have the mental edge over the Hulk, which could give him the win.
Who Would Win: Captain America Or The Punisher?
These men could not differ any more in terms of how they handle business, and this had led them to conflict before in the comics. Captain America represents all that is good with justice, and he has a strict moral code. The Punisher, meanwhile, will put a guy in the ground without so much as a thought.
Who Would Win: Spider-Man Or Daredevil?
These two New Yorkers are being pitted against one another for this entry. Spider-Man may be a kid, but he has incredible strength and speed, using his web shooters to perfection as well. Daredevil may not have his sight, but his incredible reflexes and acrobatics make him virtually unstoppable.
Who Would Win: Black Widow Or Jessica Jones?
These two ladies may be easy on the eyes, but both are capable of wiping you out for looking at them the wrong way. Black Widow has been trained to be the world’s premiere assassin, and she has fought off an alien invasion. Jessica Jones possesses superhuman abilities that The Avengers could sure use.
Who Would Win: Doctor Strange Or Professor X?
Both of these men possess immense power, albeit in different ways. Doctor Strange has the magic to completely shatter existence, and his possessing of the Time Stone makes him dangerous. But, all Professor X needs is a moment of time to get in your head to own a fight.
Who Would Win: Thor Or Beast?
Thor is the God of Thunder, but we have seen him get himself into some hairy situations before. Regardless of the weapon that he is wielding, Thor will always be a game opponent in combat. Beast is a ferocious fighter who has superhuman level strength and speed. I would pay to see this on the big screen.
Who Would Win: Scarlet Witch Or Captain Marvel?
These two ladies are going to be sharing time on screen soon enough, and it could lead to them coming to a head eventually. Scarlet Witch is an integral part of The Avengers, though she still can’t fully control her powers. Captain Marvel is on her way, and she is an absolute force.
Who Would Win: The Wasp Or X-23?
Watching these two characters throw down would be so cool to see, and things could get out of hand quickly. The Wasp has a number of capabilities that could serve her well in a battle against X-23, but with her healing factors and tenacity, few people can step up an compete with X-23.
Who Would Win: Iron Man Or Star-Lord?
Now this would be a solid scrap. Both men are the leaders of their respective groups, and each brings a number of different skills to the table. Iron Man has an incredible intellect and comes complete with amazing armor. Star-Lord is no slouch himself, as he is battle tested and capable of adapting to any situation.
Who Would Win: Luke Cage Or Gambit?
Thanks to his show on Netflix, mainstream audiences are now familiar with Luke Cage. The guy is a freak of nature who can take out just about anything that gets in his way. Gambit has long been a member of the X-Men, and he always has an ace up his sleeve. Maybe one day his movie will get made.
Who Would Win: Valkyrie Or Sue Storm?
Valkyrie and Sue Storm have very little in common in terms of affiliations or abilities, but both of them have had an impact on the big screen. Valkyrie was instrumental in the success of Thor in the film Thor: Ragnarok, and Sue Storm is part of the first family of Marvel with the Fantastic Four.
Who Would Win: Iron Fist Or Hawkeye?
This brawl sees the two most popular members of their respective superhero groups duking it out for supremacy. Okay, so truth be told, no one likes these characters. At all. Iron Fist was the worst Netflix show while Hawkeye functions as an afterthought in the MCU. Let the games begin.
Who Would Win: Deadpool Or Vision?
You just knew that Deadpool was going to appear eventually, and because he is a powerful character, we wanted to match him up with someone powerful as well. Deadpool may have a healing factor and combat skills, but Vision is immensely powerful, and he hasn’t even scratched the surface of his capabilities.
Who Would Win: Nightcrawler Or Bucky Barnes?
Nightcrawler might not enjoy violence or getting his hands dirty in combat, but there is no denying that he is someone that you would want on your side in a battle. His ability to teleport makes him a deadly foe. With a metallic arm and no shortage of energy, the Winter Soldier is the stuff of nightmares.
Who Would Win: Storm Or Jean Grey?
Both of these women are some of the most powerful in the X-Men, and each are capable of leading the team into battle and coming out on top. Storm is a goddess who is able to manipulate the weather to her liking while Jean Grey’s power of telepathy and mind control are like nothing we’ve seen.
Who Would Win: War Machine Or Falcon?
This showdown is between two guys who function more like sidekicks to other heroes. War Machine and Falcon both have a military background, and they have proven to be solid in combat situations. Each of them relies on their technology, so your answer here could depend on which piece of tech you’d rather have.
Who Would Win: Sif Or Mantis?
Sif is one of the fiercest warriors to come out of Asgard, and she has fought alongside Thor through some of his bloodiest battles, always standing her ground and handling business. Mantis is relatively new to the fold with the Guardians of the Galaxy, and her empath powers can come in handy.
Who Would Win: Silver Surfer Or Colossus?
These two silver character may share some similarities in terms of looks, but believe when we say that they differ greatly. It’s truly a shame that Marvel Studios can’t use the Silver Surfer, because he is an integral part of Infinity Gauntlet. These two men would have one heck of a scrap.
Who Would Win: Gamora Or Nebula?
On the big screen, these two sisters have had their fair share of quarrels, and during the events of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, we get more of a backstory on them. As the children of Thanos, the Mad Titan would have them engage in combat while growing up. Talk about a rough life.
Who Would Win: Red Skull Or Ultron?
Time for some action for the villains, and for this entry, we are bringing you two of the big baddies from the MCU. Red Skull kicked things off for the Captain America franchise, and he could still be out there. Ultron, meanwhile, was the villain for the second Avengers film.
Who Would Win: Loki Or Ronan?
Is he good, or is he bad? Regardless of the trajectory of his character, Loki remains perhaps the most loved Marvel villain that has appeared in the MCU. He has appeared in several MCU films, and he will be in Infinity War. Ronan was a powerful character who served as the antagonist in Guardians of the Galaxy.
Who Would Win: Black Panther Or Reed Richards?
All hail T’Challa! Black Panther is about to do big business on the big screen, so we decided to pit him against a hero who helped start the superhero movie craze. Both Black Panther and Reed Richards are incredibly intelligent humans, but only one lays claim to being a king.
Who Would Win: Blade Or Archangel?
The battle between good and evil will wage on forever, and for this battle, we are going to pit a vampire against an archangel. These characters might not be mainstream popular, but both have appeared in projects on the big screen that have been able to haul in some serious cash.
Who Would Win: Green Goblin Or Crossbones?
When the first Spider-Man film was released, it changed the game for superhero movies, and the Green Goblin served as the villain for the film. People are hoping to see him appear in the MCU. Crossbones made his appearance in the MCU during the events of Captain America: Civil War.
Who Would Win: Lockjaw Or Rocket Raccoon?
Since we have had heroes and villain alike throw down for your entertainment, we decided to put two of these famous animals against one another. Lockjaw runs with the Inhumans, and he has the ability to teleport as well as precognition. Rocket is a master thief who wields some impressive weapons.
Who Would Win: Psylocke Or Mystique?
Psylocke and Mystique have both had heavy involvement in the X-Men universe, and both of these women are people that you want on your good side. They are both powerful characters who have flexed their muscle on the big screen, requiring truly talented performers to take them to the next level.
Who Would Win: Venom Or Quicksilver?
You may hate the fact that Venom appeared in such a garbage Spider-Man movie, but you should be thankful that he’s getting his own flick. Quicksilver has been divided between two cinematic universes, and true fans know that one version is far superior to the other. Don’t act like it isn’t true.
Who Would Win: Galactus Or Apocalypse?
Stepping up and fighting either of these beings would be foolish, so we figured that we would have them fight each other instead. The Eater of Worlds and the First Mutant have been major headaches for the Fantastic Four and X-Men alike, and each has their place in the pantheon of Marvel villains.
Who Would Win: Elektra Or Jubilee?
You don’t need superpowers to kick some butt in the world of comics. Sometimes, all it takes is some training and determination to become a lethal combatant. On the other hand, having some powers can truly come in handy, especially when you’re running with a bunch of other mutants.
Who Would Win: Kingpin Or Doctor Octopus?
This battle is a tale of two very different villains. Wilson Fisk is an incredibly wealthy man who is capable of running a crime syndicate in Hell’s Kitchen. Doctor Octopus, while intelligent in his own right, also has a piece of technology that is one of the most recognizable in the history of Marvel.
Who Would Win: Iceman Or Pyro?
A song of fire and ice may be Game of Thrones related, but it also happens to be a perfect title for this battle. We saw these two come to a head on the big screen once before, and them serving as polar opposites of each other was sure to drive a wedge between them.

From sheer size alone, this one would seem to be an easy pick. Ant-Man has the ability to shrink and turn into a giant, but there are some huge drawbacks to both of these. Ghost Rider is one of the most intimidating heroes in Marvel Comics, and his penance stare can take out just about anyone.

The X-Men will never prosper if its members don’t work well as a team, but we just couldn’t help but have these two fight each other. Kitty Pryde isn’t nearly as popular as Rogue, but she has played a huge role in a number of X-Men stories. Rogue, meanwhile, is a mainstay on the X-Men roster.

Thanos is coming, and people cannot wait to see the destruction that he will be bringing with him. He is currently looking to complete the Infinity Gauntlet to take over the universe. The Mandarin, especially with his rings, is one of the most formidable foes that Iron Man has ever dealt with.
