While certain positions will have periods of being overvalued and undervalued, there isn't a person alive who will ever debate the importance of having an incredible wide receiver lining up for an offense. A dominant receiver can take over a game and give their quarterback a reliable option through the air. With passing statistics looking more like video game numbers these days, some would make the argument that the receiver position is among the most valuable in the NFL and that these players need to be hauling in more money from their contracts.

In the current landscape of the league, we are fortunate enough to be able to see some of the most athletic wide receivers off all time play every Sunday, so we highly recommend enjoying these players while you can. With the constant changing of rules favoring offenses, expect the numbers that these wide receivers put up to increase each and ever year. We may even see a receiver crack the 2,000-yard mark eventually. We aren't too far out from things getting underway for the 2018 season, and as such, we are all getting very excited about the way things will play out.

This man right here is considered one of the best wide receivers in the entire NFL, and when he is playing at his absolute best, he is practically unstoppable. Quarterback Matt Ryan considers himself incredibly lucky to be playing with such a dominating player like this guy. If he isn’t the best receiver in the league, then he is a close second to the man at the top. He has been selected to several Pro Bowls and has been recognized as an All-Pro.

There is a ton of drama unfolding right now with this player and the Dallas Cowboys, and while many people feel that he isn’t the dominating player that he used to be, he is poised to have a monster 2018 campaign while playing with a reignited fire. For several years, he was at the top of the league, and there was hardly a defensive back alive who could handle him. Whatever team signs him is going to be getting a huge upgrade on the outside.

Injuries robbed him of his playing time last season, but as we saw during his time in Jacksonville, he can flat out ball when he is the focus of an offense. The Chicago Bears were in dire need of weapons for their young quarterback Mitch Trubisky, and with their signing of this potentially dynamic weapon, Trubisky could take the next step in becoming a franchise quarterback. Of course, the success of this offense will heavily depend on this player staying healthy next year.

Not unlike his former running mate in Jacksonville, injuries have done a number to this player’s development and, similarly to his old teammate, he can take over a game when the ball is in his hands. The Jacksonville Jaguars opted to let him test the waters in free agency, and when the 2018 season gets underway, this player will be the number one receiver in Dallas thanks to the departure of their former top target. Hopefully he can put up a huge season.

At this point, people have seen both sides of this player, and with a new head coach who wants to make him a star, expect this player to revert back to form in 2018. His first two seasons in the NFL were sublime, and he amassed back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons while being selected to the Pro Bowl each year. Things spiralled out of control in Oakland last year, and his statistics were rather pedestrian. But, as we saw in Oakland’s thrilling win against rival Kansas City, this man can be one of the best receivers in the league.

People were absolutely shocked that the Oakland Raiders were willing to part ways with this wide receiver who had been a key part in their turn around over the last few years, With Derek Carr slinging him the ball, he proved himself to be a reliable target with a penchant for putting up three touchdowns in a single game. It didn’t take long for this player to find a new team, and he will be suiting up for the Baltimore Ravens in 2018.

For some inexplicable reason, the San Francisco 49ers just can’t seem to lose with Jimmy G, and this man here is perhaps the best receiver on their roster. He has played for several teams during his time in the NFL, and he has proven to be an exceptional player. The team could always look for reinforcements in the NFL Draft, but once he returns healthy, expect this man to have some serious stats with Jimmy G slinging him the ball next season.

While there are some receivers who many think are the best in the league, this man is without a doubt the best receiver in the game, and the Pittsburgh Steelers couldn’t be happier with having him on the roster. Over the last few years, he has been stringing together some of the most dominant seasons in NFL history, and he is making a serious case for Canton at this point in his career. A few more huge seasons and a Super Bowl ring would make it a guarantee.

When he is healthy and on the field for the New York Giants, there are few defensive backs in the NFL who can compete with this man. He has tallied ridiculous stats since entering the NFL, and he appeared set to have another monster season until he was sidelined with injuries. His emotions can get the better of him in the heat of the moment, but his on-field abilities are simply too incredible to ignore. He is due for a huge payday soon.

Is there anyone in the league who is better than this man here? Even with the unstable situation the Texans have at the quarterback position, he has been able to make incredible plays and put up insane numbers in the process. Their young gunslinger was put on the shelf after an injury last season, but with a clean bill of health, both Watson and this man are poised to take over the NFL and make the Texans a force again in 2018.

Unlike a number of others players in the NFL who like to have the spotlight on them, this guy is the type to keep things moving and let his play on the field speak for itself. Outside of a rare outburst against the Jaguars, he has largely been the quietest receiver with the biggest impact on the field. He has yet to have a season where he hasn’t been selected to the Pro Bowl, and he has caught for 1,000 yards in all but one year in his career.

After so many years of being a phenomenal player with Aaron Rodgers, the Green Bay Packers decided to move on from this man here. During his time with the team, he made it clear to the rest of the league that he was one of the best in the NFL, and the Packers benefitted greatly from having him on board. Shortly after his release, he headed out to the Bay Area and was quickly swooped up by the Oakland Raiders who are revamping their locker room with proven players.

After being taken in the top portion of the 2014 NFL Draft, people expected the world from this player. Yes, he has been solid at times throughout his career, but his inability to stay healthy has caused massive problems in his development. The Los Angeles Rams weren’t able to get the best out of him, and this guy now finds himself in Kansas City providing the team with another weapon for new quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Their offense is poised to dominate.

For some reason, this player cannot remain on an NFL roster, despite putting up some insane numbers. Last season, the New England Patriots traded for him as they were on the hunt for another explosive player on their offense. After the season ended, he would be shipped to Los Angeles to team with Jared Goff and the Rams. After picking this player up and after their insane defensive haul, the Rams appear ready to challenge the Eagles for NFC supremacy.

This man right here just got a massive contract from the Cleveland Browns, and they fully expect him to be a huge part of the team moving forward. After having some truly embarrassing years, this franchise is determined to turn things around and finally leave the bottom of the league. When he played in Miami, he showed that he was a player who could do a little bit of everything on the field, and he is going to be a nice target for the team’s new quarterback.

For the last four seasons, this player has been a fixture in the Pro Bowl, and even though this franchise has seen better days, they still lay claim to having this dynamic player on their roster. In 2016, he led the entire NFL in receiving yards en route to cementing himself as one of the most dynamic playmakers in the league. Andrew Luck’s future remains uncertain at this point, but you can still expect this man to perform at an incredibly high level.

Needless to say, the Buffalo Bills didn’t mind this one bit, and with his help on the outside, they were able to make the playoffs for the first time since the 1990s. Yes, it was a team effort, but there is no denying that they have 0 regrets about making the trade for this man here.

Some players have a tendency to self-destruct and completely destroy their careers and, for a while there, it seemed as though this man was destined to fall into this trap. During the prime of his career, there was no receiver in football who could do so much with so little around him, but terrible decisions in his personal life nearly destroyed his career. He returned late last year and was looking good before the season ended. The Browns have something to look forward to this year.

This man is one half of the Vikings dynamic duo who helped catapult the team to the NFC Championship this last season. Can someone please explain how this man keeps doing it? Year after year, he finds new ways to continue his dominant play and further cement his place in Canton whenever he decides to retire. He has been selected to the Pro Bowl a ridiculous 11 times in his career, including last year in 2017. He has crossed the 1,000-yard mark 9 times in his professional career and he has hauled in at least 100 receptions 5 times in his career.

After some serious problems in his personal life saw him slide in the NFL Draft, the Kansas City Chiefs were willing to bring him into a healthy locker room that eventually saw him become one of the most dynamic playmakers the league has ever seen. He can legitimately do it all on the football field, and just when you think he’s down and out, he’s going to shed a tackle and take it to the house. The teams in the AFC West have to deal with this twice a year.

This player first entered the league in 2010 with the Seattle Seahawks, and he was part of their Super Bowl squad. He was selected to the Pro Bowl back in 2014, and it remains the only Pro Bowl selection of his career. After spending a few years in Seattle, he made his way to Detroit to play with Matthew Stafford. He has crossed the 1,000-yard mark 3 out of the 4 seasons that he has spent in Detroit, filling in nicely after the departure of Calvin Johnson.

He caught for nearly 900 yards in his rookie season.

Even now, this guy is a flat out burner who is able to stretch out a defense and rattle off huge plays during a game. He didn’t develop into a top tier player in the league at the wide receiver position, but each team he has played for has been able to use his strengths to their advantage. Even though this player has never had a season where he had over 1,000 receiving yards, he has shown that he is a valuable player that any offense would love to have.

The Saints put together one heck of a season last year, and their offense was as explosive as ever.
