We Bet Everybody Has Forgotten About These AHS Characters

Fans who can't remember the names of these AHS characters just aren't ready for the new season!

With just a few weeks to go until the release of season eight of AHS everyone is wondering what nightmares the creators have dreamed up for their loyal fans this time. Here's what we know so far: the new season, titled Apocalypse is going to be a cross-over season incorporating characters and storylines from the first and the third seasons. Some of the returning cast members include Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Cheyenne Jackson, Taissa Farmiga, Gabourey Sidibe, Lily Rabe, Frances Conroy, and Stevie Nicks, as well as Connie Britton, who we haven't seen since the first season. Returning from Cult we'll see Adina Porter, Billy Eichner, Leslie Grossman, and Billie Lourd. Joan Collins will also be joining the cast. The most exciting news of all is that AHS favorites Jessica Lange and Kathy Bates will both be appearing in the new season. Hurrah!

Over the last seven seasons the AHS universe has grown to include dozens and dozens of characters and although it's hard to keep up we think any serious fan should have no problem naming them. Who knows - we might be seeing them again sooner than we think!

Who is this?

This season three character had a very unique supernatural power. She could inflict injury on others by hurting herself, and she would not feel any pain or suffer any ill effects. Almost as though she was a human voodoo doll. But she struggled to control her powers and ended up as a ward at Miss Robichaux's Academy. This character also made an appearance in AHS: Hotel as an unfortunate guest of the Cortez. What was the name of this character played by Gabourey Sidibe?

Who is this?

It should be easy as pie for any true AHS fan to name this character. He appeared in the last season of the show (Cult) and was the main antagonist of the storyline. He was portrayed by series regular Evan Peters who has played at least one character in every season of the show so far. In Cult he was a disturbed but intelligent young man who uses his powers of persuasion to build his own devoted following. Who was this character?

In the first season of AHS Jessica Lange played the role of Constance Langdon, the Harmon's next door neighbor. In the second season of the show, she was this character, a nun who was in charge of overseeing the patients and staff of Briarcliff Manor. She was a bitter and mean woman who seemed to take pleasure in tormenting those around her but she got a taste of her own medicine when she became an inmate herself. What was the name of this Asylum character?

Who could possibly forget this season four character? She was played by Indian actress Jyoti Amge, who is, at just 23 inches, officially the smallest woman in the world according to the Guinness Book of World Records. She was a member of the Freak Show, and Elsa's helper and confidant. Sadly she was also one of the first cast members to meet her demise, at the cruel hands of Dell. This character arrived at the hotel Cortez confused about her identity but that's when she met The Countess who helped her find her true self. Once reinvented she couldn't return to her old life and instead stayed at the hotel working in Blue Parrot Lounge. She is portrayed by Denis O'Hare, an AHS regular, who has appeared in every season of the show so far with the exception of Asylum and Cult. What was the name of the character he played in Hotel?

This season four character had one goal in life: he wanted to make children laugh. He was once a performer in a traveling show but the other performers grew jealous of him and started to accuse him of terrible things. This led him to try and take his own life but it failed, leaving him disfigured and scary to look at. Who can tell us the name of this nightmarish Freak Show character played by John Carroll Lynch? What did they call him?

In the third season of AHS Jessica Lange took on the role of this character: the (now former) Supreme of the coven of the Salem descendants and the mother of Cordelia Foxx; headmistress of Miss Robichaux's Academy. She has a strained relationship with her daughter and shows little interest in managing her coven because she is obsessed with aging and her own mortality. Although she has the power to drain life from other people, what she really craves is immortality. What was the name of this character?

Taissa Farmiga joined AHS in the very first season where she played the role of Violet Harmon, the young girl who falls in love with Tate, the boy next door. Taissa, who is the younger sister of Vera Farmiga (The Conjuring film series and Bates Motel) also had a small role in Roanoke. In Coven, she played the role of one of the young witches at Miss Robichaux's Academy with a lethal supernatural power. What was her name of this character?

In AHS: Freak Show Wes Bentley played the role of this character; a nobleman born with a second face on the back of his head. This face would whisper to him and no matter how he tried to make it stop he couldn't. In the AHS universe, the freak show troupe members believe that if they perform on Halloween they will summon the spirit of this man, who won't leave again without taking another unfortunate soul with him. In the backstory of AHS: Hotel we learn that this character (who is now the owner of the Hotel Cortez) is an immortal creature who inherited the property when her husband passed away. However, she finds herself in financial difficulty after a few bad investments and hatches a scheme to sell the hotel to a wealthy fashion designer, and then get rid of him so that she can rule her little kingdom freely again. Who remembers the name of this glamorous character played by Lady Gaga?

In season four of AHS Emma Roberts played the role of a young con artist sent to spy on the performers of the Freak Show. She was orphaned as a young girl and taken in by Stanley, a cunning confidence trickster, who trained her to be his partner in crime. She arrives at the Freak Show claiming to be a fortune teller but after falling for Jimmy she starts to rethink her plans. Who can tell us the name of this character?

This character might have had all the money in the world, a high social standing, and a mansion to live in, but she really could have done a much better job of raising her son, instead of leaving him to grow up into a spoilt brat. The worst trait of this season four character (played by Frances Conroy) was that she knew exactly what her son was becoming and she did nothing to stop it. Who is this?

This character (portrayed by Neil Patrick Harris) appears in the fourth season of AHS (Freak Show). In the story, he is a miserable salesman who discovers that his wife has been unfaithful and this drives him over the edge. He leaves home and joins Fräulein Elsa's Cabinet of Curiosities as a magician but his true passion is ventriloquism, although he has a somewhat twisted relationship with his dummy, Marjorie. He was also the owner of the Freak Show for a short time before he handed himself over the police.

In season three of AHS, Angela Bassett joined the cast for the first time, playing the role of this character, the Voodoo queen of New Orleans and a powerful rival of the witches coven. If there was a character that everyone loved to hate in the third season of AHS then it had to be this girl, a young popular actress known for her wild ways. She was a student at Miss Robichaux's Academy for Exceptional Young Ladies, who sometimes had problems when it came to self-control and using her powers. This character was portrayed by Emma Roberts, who has also appeared in Freak Show and Cult and is due to return for AHS: Apocalypse.

At first, she loved her new home but that's before she uncovered its past.
