When we think of the nineties, we think of girl bands, boy bands, Nickelodeon, heartthrobs like Leo and Johnny, and Tamagotchi's to name a few. While, yes these things may not even begin to scratch the surface of the nineties, they still bring back fond memories. Looking back now, the nineties just felt like a much simpler time and we just can't help but reminisce about them. There was really no such thing as cell phones or at least they were just starting to surface and the most you could do with them is make calls and perhaps write text messages really slowly. (Who remembers those Nokia phones where you would have to press the same button multiple times to get to the letter you wanted? How far we've come.)
There was also no such thing as social media, so yes that means, "the selfie", DM's and "filters" were non-existent. So if we didn't have phones to distract us from the majority of our days, what did we do with all of that free time? Well, if we weren't playing outside, it's likely we were sitting in front of our TV's watching sitcom after sitcom and binge-watching teen rom-coms.
