Dwayne Johnson is one of the brightest stars in Hollywood - one flash from his smile can illuminate the Los Angeles skyline brighter than the moon at night. Being such a legend, it's no wonder why the gods of Hollywood keep putting him in blockbuster after blockbuster. If you're a producer looking for a return on your major motion picture investment, what's the best way to guarantee success? That's right - put Dwayne Johnson's mug in it.
So, Dwayne has been in a lot of movies over the past ten or so years. Looking at his filmography, it's clear that there aren't many other A-listers who are quite as busy as he is. Despite that, and despite how much we would want it, Dwayne Johnson is not in all the movies of Hollywood's recent history. That would be completely impossible, though something tells us that if anyone could pull it off, it would be The Rock.
Given how busy the man's been keeping himself, here's a fun little challenge - we'll present you with a number of popular movies that might have featured Dwayne, and you can guess which ones the actor was actually featured in. That shouldn't be hard for a true Johnson fan to pull off, right?
Was Dwayne in The Other Guys?
We'll start this quiz off with a classic buddy cop movie, since Dwayne Johnson's been in a number of those. If you're only a casual follower of the man, then you might not know if he happened to have made an appearance in The Other Guys. It's quite clear that the movie starred Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg, but was a certain Rock in it? Hopefully you're not having trouble with the first question, since this quiz gets tough later on.
Was Dwayne in Walking Tall?
Dwayne Johnson doesn't exclusively do action movies, but let's face it - he has definitely done a lot of action movies. Maybe Walking Tall is among them, or maybe that's just what we want you to believe. Was Dwayne in I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry?
Chuck and Larry would like to propose a toast - to Dwayne Johnson, of course. He's the star of this quiz after all, and he may or may not be a key cast member in this movie. Dwayne's vibe certainly fits with Adam Sandler's and Kevin James', but that doesn't necessarily mean he was in I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry. The truth is in that brain of yours somewhere, but you'll only find it if you're a real fan.
Was Dwayne in Kill Bill: Volume 1?

In the same token, you're not likely to forget whether or not it featured Dwayne Johnson, considering how memorable the actor's mug is. There's a storm a brewin', and only a great Hollywood hero can save the day. Well, not the day itself - nature takes the day by a long shot, for sure. However, if there's a certain heroic actor around, you'd better believe he'll save the ones closest to him from sure doom. Dwayne Johnson might have been that actor, since he's definitely heroic enough. It's hard to say, unless you've memorized the man's filmography. Too late to do so if you haven't.

We know this looks like Mark Wahlberg in his third appearance of this quiz, but that's not the case - it's Mark's doppelgänger, Matt Damon! As you might know if you're a real Hollywood movie buff, Matt Damon was the star of his very own franchise - the Bourne series. It looks like Zac Efron is getting ripped for the summer. It's beach season after all, so it's important to maximize physical output during training sessions - especially if The Rock is there stealing all the thunder. It's hard to stand out on a beach when Dwayne Johnson is there next to you, though he might be nowhere to be found in Baywatch. That might be a fake finger gun that Jason Statham is pointing, but don't relax just yet. Since this is one of the baddest action heroes of all time - though he doesn't play the traditional hero in this one - there's no telling what he's capable of, even if the only weapon in his arsenal is actually just a finger gun. Before he pulls a blast out of thin air, let's see if you remember if Dwayne was featured alongside Jason here.
Was Dwayne in Furious 7?
Looking at this promotional poster alone, it's hard to tell whether Dwayne Johnson was in Furious 7. It seems to make sense that he'd be in at least one of the movies in the Fast and the Furious series, but he definitely wasn't in all of them. Furious 7 didn't come out ages ago, so you might have seen it fairly recently. Was Dwayne in it, or did he skip out on this one? Is he somewhere hiding in this picture?
Was Dwayne in Mean Girls?
Here are the Plastics, and they're some of the meanest girls of all. Well, it's mostly the queen bee in the middle who sets the cruelty standard. But the other two follow it, and the rest of the students in school are thoroughly aware of it. The cast of Moana are here to pose for a promotional picture, but is Dwayne Johnson in here? Did he make it in this blockbuster animated flick, or did he have other things going on at the time? It's tough to say, since we're looking at cartoons and all. The Rock might have been that large man over there, or maybe he voiced a secondary character in Moana. Who knows - we do, but you'll need to look within for the answer.
Was Dwayne in Hercules?
Hercules is here, though he doesn't seem to be in this picture. Hercules isn't usually without hair and maniacally holding twin swords over his head in a war-mad battle pose. He has more of a hero's aura about him, for sure. You can find examples of that in the Hercules animated movie or this live action one, and Dwayne may or may not have played Herc himself. If he did, that's something all fans of the man would know, right?
Was Dwayne in Inception?
If ever you've seen Dwayne Johnson in a dream, it might have been in this movie. Inception is one of the most surreal films released in recent memory, with Leo DiCaprio serving as its main navigator. Thinking back, Dwayne Johnson might have appeared in it at one point or another, maybe as a crony or something. Or, maybe he steered clear of this abstract entanglement. He's missing from this picture, but is he missing from the film as a whole?
Was Dwayne in Edge of Tomorrow?
Tom Cruise finds himself in an unbreakable loop in Edge of Tomorrow, or at least it seems unbreakable upon first glance. Really, the whole Groundhog Day type of ordeal might just be an elaborate puzzle meant to be unlocked when solved. It's also possible that Dwayne Johnson holds the key to unlocking the puzzle, or maybe he isn't even in the movie to begin with. Is Edge of Tomorrow the type of feature film that would feature The Rock, or did Dwayne have no part in this?
Was Dwayne in Empire State?
Two strange men are looking skeptically over at someone while just sort of hanging out in a diner. Maybe the person they're looking at is Dwayne Johnson, and he's giving them the People's Eyebrow right back. It's easy to think of the actor as one of the stars of Empire State, since the story seems right up his alley. However, it's also possible that we're looking at the two main stars right here, and Dwayne was off doing something else while Empire State was being filmed.
Was Dwayne in John Wick?
If Keanu Reeves and Dwayne Johnson ever duked it out on screen, the resulting explosions would probably put all of culture to a halt. It's definitely something that we'd all remember for a long time to come. So, if their confrontation happened in John Wick, the answer to this question should be quite obvious to you. It also might be partly about a character played by Dwayne Johnson. Did he happen to feature in Snitch? Is he the person on the other end of the phone in this scene? This is a lesser known movie, so no one will judge you if you can't get it right. But try your best.
Was Dwayne in Tooth Fairy?
Tooth Fairy might not seem like the most obvious Dwayne Johnson movie upon first glance, but don't let that first glance fool you. Let's not forget that we're talking about an impossibly deep actor here - what we've seen of him barely even reflects his surface. It's in his nature to perform in films like Tooth Fairy and a whole lot more, despite it being a little outside of his type casting. Was he actually in Tooth Fairy though, or not?
Was Dwayne in Planet 51?
Again, it's hard to tell if we're looking at The Rock here, since Planet 51 is an animated movie and this still shows nothing but cartoon characters. If you know a little more Dwayne Johnson trivia than the average person, then maybe you know whether he likes contributing voice work to the occasional animated feature. If so, there's a chance that he played in Planet 51, but there's also a chance that we're just misleading you here. What do you think?

The Longest Yard is one of the classic Adam Sandler flicks, with features from a number of other known actors, comedians and athletes. Dwayne Johnson happens to check all of those boxes quite nicely, so it makes sense that he would be in a comedy like The Longest Yard. Maybe he and Adam are close friends in real life, and they throw each other in their movies all the time. Or maybe that's not true at all. You'll have to choose.
Was Dwayne in Get Smart?
Back when Steve Carrell and Anne Hathaway were just beginning to gather some steam in the Hollywood industry, they came out with a little spy comedy by the name of Get Smart. While the movie thrived on the chemistry between these two characters, it also might have been helped by a certain appearance by none other than Dwayne Johnson himself. It'll be hard to recall whether The Rock was in this one if you haven't seen it in a while.
Was Dwayne in The Fate of the Furious?
The Fate of the Furious is easily one of the biggest, most epic titles in The Fast and the Furious franchise. Just when you thought things couldn't get faster, heavier or more stressful, the Fate showed you a whole new standard of high octane entertainment. Such a blockbuster film can only be helped by Dwayne Johnson's signature energy, though that doesn't necessarily mean that he was in The Fate of the Furious. If you happened to catch The Game Plan, then you might remember just how uplifting and inspiring it is. When all is said and done, this is a story about dreams and possibility. If you believe something strongly enough and work toward achieving it, then nothing is impossible. Looper is a mind bending movie about a... well, a looper. Looper's operate through time travel, which is about as deep as we're willing to go in this synopsis. Time travel movies are way too complicated to get into in this forum - you'll have to watch the movie to see what it's all about. Hopefully you've done that already, otherwise you wouldn't know if Dwayne Johnson was in this one or not. But if you're a true follower, you'll know regardless.

Miami Vice is about the high life, or the low life depending on how you look at it. At any rate, money and crime are the main stars of this movie, though Jamie Foxx and Colin Farrell definitely play their part, too. Dwayne Johnson might also have a part in this - it would definitely make sense if he did, since he's all about that action life. But the real question is, is he all about that Miami Vice life?
Was Dwayne in Gridiron Gang?
Gridiron Gang is a great movie, one that might have featured Mr. Johnson as he was just begin to grease his wheels in Hollywood. It features a gang of criminals in jail who find some redemption in their football games, lead by a great coach. It's definitely possible that Dwayne was that coach, but it's also possible that he was anywhere but on this set while Gridiron Gang was being filmed. It's a tough question, since this is definitely a lesser known movie.

For our last question, we'll revisit The Fast and the Furious one more time, this time focusing on the Tokyo Drift iteration. Dwayne Johnson was in a number of Fast and the Furious movies, but was he in this one? As you might know, Tokyo Drift is the third segment of the series (in terms of when the movie was released, not the in-world story) and Dwayne Johnson himself might have had a role in it.
