The nineties was one of the best eras for movies and there are just so many reasons why!
It was during this epic decade that teen movies became especially popular, especially those in the coming-of-age and horror genre, which helped define new brands and start new trends. There were plenty of laughs for us too, especially with actors like Jim Carrey and Robin Williams doing some of their most memorable (and side-splitting) work. Big budget films like Titanic became more mainstream and high romance films like Romeo + Juliet drew massive crowds to the cinemas.
The 90's was a time for film experimentation and also saw the release of many controversial films like Natural Born Killers and Fight Club. There were even films made on tiny budgets (like Clerks) which gained legions of fans and became cult classics practically overnight. Filmmaker Quentin Tarantino was very active during the nineties, exploding onto the scene with Pulp Fiction in 1993. There was really something for everything in the world of 90's cinema.
