Way back in 1997, J. K. Rowling introduced people around the globe to the incredible Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Over twenty years, seven books, eight films, and millions of diehard fans later, Harry Potter continues to be one of the most loved fantasy creations ever made.

Who is this professor?
This character, despite his obvious flaw, is generally one of the good guys throughout the series. He was a member of the Order of the Phoenix, taught Defence Against the Dark Arts at Hogwarts, fought in the First Wizarding War, and was a mentor to Harry at time. Unfortunately, he was one of the characters that didn't make it to the end.

In the Harry Potter universe, some characters have the ability to willingly transform into something else, known as their Animagus form. This village, which is the only totally magical one in all of England, is home to the Shrieking Shack, Honeydukes and Zonko's Joke Shop, just to name a few. It is also the home to Aberforth Dumbledore. For a final hint, it also links a secret tunnel from the Whomping Willow on the Hogwarts grounds to the basement of the Shrieking Shack.

According to the rules of Hogwarts, students are allowed to bring either a cat, an owl, or a toad with them to the school. In the first film, Hagrid buys this owl for Harry, which becomes a loyal and helpful companion over the course of the series. For any HP fan, this should be an easy one.

While we mostly know this character as Voldemort or 'He who shall not be named', he actually had a normal name prior to becoming wicked. As a boy, he attended Hogwarts and was curious as to the darker sides of magic. In the second film, we see that 'I am Lord Voldemort' is actually an anagram of this character's full name.

In Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, Harry and the gang uncover a secret trap door hidden beneath this ominous beast. The tough part is finding a way to get past it. Once they discover the trick - soft music to put it to sleep - they are able to slide down the trap door and chase down the Stone.

This character, who is introduced to us in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, is the seeker for Bulgaria's Quidditch team and also a student at the Durmstrang Institute. He took on Harry, Cedric and the others in the Triwizard Tournament and also asks Hermione to the Yule Ball.
Who is this magical lady?
Hailing from the Beauxbatons Academy of Magic in France, this character represented her school in the Triwizard Tournament in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. She eventually ends up marrying one of the Weasley boys and makes a few more appearances in the films which follow. Who remembers her name?

What a spectacle the wedding in question was! Unfortunately, Fleur Delacour's wedding with one of the Weasley boys was cut abruptly short due to an attack from Voldemort's followers. As told by Potter.fandom, the pair wind up having three children together: Victoire, Dominique, and Louis Weasley. We'll give you a hint... it's not Ron.
What is the name of this professor?
While this professor didn't have quite as much time on screen compared to some of the other Hogwarts staff, she's certainly no less memorable. Her quirky nature matched with her odd but loveable aura makes her a good match for her role as professor of Divination. She is also a seer.

We're introduced to this professor at the beginning of the franchise, in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. She is an expert in Herbology and shows Harry and the others the Mandrake plant, a shrieking plant that requires earmuffs when pulled from the earth. Does anyone remember this professor's name?

Harry, Ron, and Hermione would often be sneaking around the school's halls after curfew and be sniffed out by this cat, narrowly avoiding encounters with Mr. Filch. In the second film, she becomes one of the victims of the Basilisk's petrifying stare, found hanging in one of the school's hallways.

This piece of magical parchment was given to Harry in the third film by Fred and George, who stole it from Mr. Filch's office. It allows the user to see the real-time footsteps of anyone and everyone nearby, which often gives Harry a helping hand in avoiding those who he'd rather not face.

Quidditch was once a sport unique to the Wizarding World, however, since being introduced to the real world by J.K Rowling, it's spread like wildfire, with people competing at Universities and organisations across the globe. What is the name of Hermione's cat?
Harry has Hedwig the Owl, Neville has Trevor the toad, Ron has his rat (which turns out to be Peter Pettigrew), and Hermione has this cat. While the cat is a rather minor character throughout the series, and despite its generally unwelcoming vibe, it's still loved dearly by Hermione throughout.
Whose father is this?
This character, named Xenophilius, is the father of one of our favourite Hogwarts attendees and is the editor of The Quibbler magazine. He is a rather eccentric and unique individual, and while he doesn't become involved until later in the series, his appearance is important to the unfolding of the story.

Anyone with apprehension toward a certain eight-legged species would have had plenty of trouble sleeping after meeting this Acromantula for the first time. In Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Hagrid tells Ron and Harry to "follow the spiders" which leads them to this giant beast. They find themselves running away sooner than they would have thought.

As the series progressed, we were introduced to the dark concept of Horcruxes. Viewers were also introduced to the Sword of Gryffindor, an enchanted Goblin-made sword, which appeared when Harry needed it most. Initially belonging to Godric Gryffindor, of which one of Hogwarts' four houses is named after, this item first appeared in the Chamber of Secrets.

Played by the wonderful Emma Watson, Hermione Granger joins Harry and Ron as one of the three main characters in the HP series. While she comes across, at first, as a condescending know-it-all, we grow to love her and her inquisitive mind very quickly. Does anyone know her full name?

While these two characters don't get a lot of screen time, their involvement in the storyline is vital, and we continue to learn more about them as time goes by. They were present on the night that Voldemort gave Harry his scar, and they mean a great deal to Harry.
