This village, which is the only totally magical one in all of England, is home to the Shrieking Shack, Honeydukes and Zonko's Joke Shop, just to name a few. While we mostly know this character as Voldemort or 'He who shall not be named', he actually had a normal name prior to becoming wicked. As a boy, he attended Hogwarts and was curious as to the darker sides of magic. In the second film, we see that 'I am Lord Voldemort' is actually an anagram of this character's full name.

In Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, Harry and the gang uncover a secret trap door hidden beneath this ominous beast. The tough part is finding a way to get past it. Once they discover the trick - soft music to put it to sleep - they are able to slide down the trap door and chase down the Stone.

What a spectacle the wedding in question was! Unfortunately, Fleur Delacour's wedding with one of the Weasley boys was cut abruptly short due to an attack from Voldemort's followers. Harry, Ron, and Hermione would often be sneaking around the school's halls after curfew and be sniffed out by this cat, narrowly avoiding encounters with Mr. Filch. In the second film, she becomes one of the victims of the Basilisk's petrifying stare, found hanging in one of the school's hallways.

Anyone with apprehension toward a certain eight-legged species would have had plenty of trouble sleeping after meeting this Acromantula for the first time. In Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Hagrid tells Ron and Harry to "follow the spiders" which leads them to this giant beast. They find themselves running away sooner than they would have thought.

As the series progressed, we were introduced to the dark concept of Horcruxes. Viewers were also introduced to the Sword of Gryffindor, an enchanted Goblin-made sword, which appeared when Harry needed it most. Initially belonging to Godric Gryffindor, of which one of Hogwarts' four houses is named after, this item first appeared in the Chamber of Secrets.

While these two characters don't get a lot of screen time, their involvement in the storyline is vital, and we continue to learn more about them as time goes by. They were present on the night that Voldemort gave Harry his scar, and they mean a great deal to Harry.
