Some classic rock artists and groups will always live on and are epic and timeless. Still, in this day and age, where there's no star like today's star, sometimes it's easy to forget or not know about the legends that came before their time. It helps to get a little history lesson every now and then, not just because it puts the present day in its proper perspective, but also because people who don't are simply missing out on some of the greatest songs that were ever written and released.

Even Millennials like me should be able to get most of the bands in this quiz. After all, it's not that hard. Many of them live on and are kept alive thanks to movies, TV and social media. Some even helped define their genre or sub-genre, which made it easier for those who came after them and took the work they did to another level.
