The Vampire Diaries really took the world by storm when it hit TV screens all around the world in 2009. Fans of the book series by L.J. Smith were just itching to put a face to all the characters, to see the action play out in real life. When the series premiered, they got their wish (of course, not without making it abundantly clear that Elena was supposed to have BLONDE and not brown hair). The fantasy became reality, and the world of the Salvatore brothers became even easier to immerse yourself in.
With its mystery, action, and love stories, it's no wonder that this show ran for eight years before concluding in March of 2017. Every season brought a new enemy, threat, and couple - and it was never limited to just vampires. Werewolves, witches, originals - all contributed to the fantastical town of Mystic Falls. So, because the show is sadly over, and everyone wants to know which character they'd be, we made a quiz. Are you dark and cunning like Katherine, sweet and loving like Elena, moral and attentive like Stefan, or mysterious and exciting like Damon?

First of all, you need to decide whether you're even a dog person at all - are you a cat person? Cause that says a lot about what kind of person you are. If you're a cat person, you probably enjoy not having something that requires your constant attention. If you are a dog person, do you want a family dog, an obedient dog, or a bad ass dog? Journals say so much about people. For those who keep journals, all of their secrets, their inner thoughts, their worries and their achievements are recorded in there. Some people feel like they need a journal to stay sane. Others feel like journals are too emotional and you should live in the moment - and some just can't remember to write in it at all.

Spiders, heights, snakes? Nah, we're going deeper than that. What people really fear deep down, on a personal and emotional level, is far more telling about what kind of a person they are than surface level fears. Plus, it's close to Halloween, so it's the perfect time to be bringing up scary things.

Sorry, if you're all about blue or pink hair, this question won't satisfy you. You don't have to pick your hair color - maybe just pick the hair color you'd want your significant other to have, or the one you wish you had. Who knows, in another life, maybe you had blonde hair!

Spooky time! Halloween is upon us in real life as well, so you might as well pick your costume now. Are you going for basic girl dressed as a kitty, or are you going for funny and stupid, like a giant pumpkin? Regardless, you're a vampire already, so life for you is just a long, never-ending Halloween. Pick your disguise!
What kind of life do you want?
Not to sound like your parents or anything, but what kind of a life do you see yourself having? You don't even need to know what job you want or where you want to live, but do you see yourself with a family? Maybe you love independence and adventure, or exciting cities. Maybe, like some of our beloved vampires, you don't care about anything except for being with the person (or people) you love.
Choose your weapon!
As a vampire, you'll already have a lot of weapons at your disposal. Your super speed, amazing hearing, strength, and regenerative abilities mean that you've already got a lot on your side. But that doesn't mean you can't be killed. A fire poker would be great to torture an enemy, a crossbow provides distance and can fire wooden arrows (prime for killing vamps!), and Vervain can weaken your enemies. Or maybe you just like to work with your hands and razor-sharp teeth.
Finally...which character is your favorite?
Last question until you find out whether you're most like Katherine, Elena, Stefan, or Damon! These four vampires are all so different, but make the show so great. Think of this question kind of like the generosity of the Harry Potter Sorting Hat.
