After first premiering in 2007, The Big Bang Theory has quickly gone on to become one of the most popular sitcoms of our time. Who could resist such a hilarious show filled to the brim with laughs, wit, and lots of drama between a group of scientists living in California? It’s been an incredible ride, but we couldn’t be happier for these two! It’s also interesting to have watched their relationship grow out of what began as a pretty awkward first date. One of the most memorable episodes of Big Bang Theory is one in which the gang decide it is their year to win a costume contest at the local comic book store’s annual New Years party. And what better group costume to organize than as the Justice League? While some characters got stuck with costumes they really did not want (like Aquaman), one character was given the incredible honor of dressing up as the Man of Steel himself: Superman. Paired with Superwoman (AKA: Penny) this group was the only viable contender among the other Justice League wannabes at the party, and they ultimately won!

Sheldon and Amy have had a rather interesting relationship. He even enlisted the help of all his friends to sing the chorus with him, making it extra special. However, on the big night in question, his girlfriend ended up in quarantine in the hospital. Despite this, he brought his keyboard and all his friends there to perform the song for her through a glass window, delivering such iconic lines as, “Without you life would be blue – I’d be Doctor Who without the tardis.”

Howard and Bernadette are quite the adorable couple! As such, they are prone to dressing in adorable couples costumes for Halloween! This season of The Big Bang Theory, we watched as these two dressed up as Sheldon and Amy, much to the latter’s chagrin. It’s never nice to imitate friends, particularly not when that imitation is less than flattering. While this costume choice was definitely an oversight, these two have previously gone as a rather cute pair for Halloween, making us all gush over how sweet they are together. It was the perfect costume choice for such an incredible perfect couple!

They say money makes the world go round, and for this character money has never really been much of a problem. It is eventually revealed in the series that they actually come from a rather wealthy family who are more than happy to handout a monthly allowance to their child while they live elsewhere. This person still works and still has their own place, but they are pretty financially tethered to their parents. That is, until their parents suddenly cut them off and this person has to suddenly financially fend for themselves in the real world! It’s a bit of a wake-up call but one they definitely needed.

Amy is a woman of many talents, particularly pertaining to her field of neurobiology. However, we also learn in one episode that Amy is also musically inclined and can actually play an instrument. In one rather hilarious sequence on the show, the scene cuts to Amy in her apartment with this instrument as she begins to play the song “The Girl from Ipanema.” This Brazilian bossa nova jazz song does not necessarily fit the theme of Amy’s rather elegant instrument, so it made for a rather hilarious scene to witness! Amy is definitely one talented girl, with or without this instrument!

One of the reoccurring themes for this character on the show is their inability to drive. It isn’t as though they have not tried before – in fact, they actually once earned their learner’s permit after a particularly difficult encounter with a DMV desk attendant. In spite of this, when it came time to get behind the wheel of a computer simulated car, this character proved much too reckless of a driver to ever be put behind the wheel of a real vehicle! Since then, they have been perfectly happy accepting rides from their typically reluctant friends who just wish this person would magically become an excellent driver already.

To anyone outside the car, this was a beautiful display of affection but to Penny it was simply just annoying.

Although he certainly fits in with life in Pasadena, Sheldon is not actually from this city. In fact, he is not originally from California at all! As it turns out, this character hails from another state entirely and does not necessarily like to dwell on the setting of his upbringing very much. There have been some pretty incredible moments on The Big Bang Theory, and one of them was the Christmas episode in which Sheldon inexplicably pulls Penny in for a hug. He was doing this to thank her for a special gift she had given him which he had realized he simply could not duplicate in significance with a gift for her. He had pretty much bought out a store of all of its beauty baskets, but even all the beauty baskets in the world couldn’t match this incredible gift from Penny! So, he decided the best way to show his appreciate was to do what Sheldon Cooper does not like to do: show affection.
Who taught Howard how to gut a fish?
Howard is not a particularly outdoorsy guy, which he quite rightly attributes to having an absent father who wasn’t around to teach him typical father-son things. So, when he suddenly finds himself with an impending day of fishing with his wife, Bernadette’s, super traditional and masculine father, he realizes he needs outside help! So, he seeks out the assistance of one of his friends to teach him how to do everything his father never taught him. This includes how to gut a fish, which Howard quite quickly proves he is most definitely not cut out for doing. However, in the end is he able to get along with Bernadette’s father just fine, fish guts or no fish guts.

Over the years, Howard and Bernadette’s relationship has seen significant change from their mere beginnings as two people brought together on a blind date. Although they first could not seem to find anything in common that they could bond over, they eventually found they both had serious mother issues and the rest is history!
