The Ultimate Dystopian Teen Movie Quiz

1.1K Shares

Recently quite a few dystopian teen novels have been recreated by Hollywood, with some of the more famous ones being made into huge franchises. Perhaps when we are teens we like the dystopian genre because it reminds us that our lives, fraught with growing pains and agonizing embarrassment that can only come during puberty, are in fact not that bad. Many of these films were based on novels that explore dystopian themes of environmental hardships, the downfall of capitalism, extreme class inequality, and governmental corruption.

The Hunger Games trilogy is based of Suzanne Collins's book set in a dim future where twelve districts must each offer up a sacrificial warrior. The film stars Jennifer Lawrence as a badass who famously volunteers herself as tribute to protect her younger sister. In Divergent, people need to be sorted into two separate factions, however Shailene Woodley is told she is one of the rare few who does not fit into these categories. Unfortunately this means she will be eliminated by powerful shadowy forces. In Maze Runner a number of people with scrubbed memories (Gladers) are left to find their way out of an ever-changing maze.

How well do you know these dystopian movies?
