Hogwarts was founded by Salazar Slytherin, Helga Hufflepuff, Godric Gryffindor, and Rowena Ravenclaw, four talented witches and wizards committed to educating the younger generation. They all had different characteristics and values - ambition and purity, kindness and hard work, bravery and justice, intelligence and scholarship respectively.
