Nickelodeon was the first name in quality kids content, showcasing incredible cartoons, live action series, and original movies for years. Ranging from some of their more classic series, like Rugrats and SpongeBob, to some of the newer series, Nickelodeon has always been concerned, primarily, with creating incredible content. Nickelodeon has been a major studio since 1977, believe it or not, but it took them quite a bit of time to premiere their first major cartoon block. What Nick Show Features Two Brothers, And Their Meddlesome Sister?
This particular program is fondly remembered by the generation that was lucky enough to have it as a part of their lives. This series followed two step-brothers after their respective single parents got together. Thrown into the mix is their younger sister, Megan, who tries her hardest to make the two boy’s lives difficult. This usually makes things more difficult (but also more hilarious), as things reach a fever pitch, just in time for Timmy to wish things back to normal.

This was certainly an interesting premise for a cartoon, taking real life childhood adventures and creating an animated world revolving around them. The show is a creative juggernaut, that only steadily rose in terms of quality, until Nickelodeon revamped it in recent years. This cartoon was one of Nickelodeon’s staple programs, it started as one of the networks three cartoon series, and it went on to spawn multiple animated films, some crossovers, and even a follow-up series. And of course these adorable talking babies stole our hearts, this series managed to pack in some truly dark and emotional elements into each 30-minute episode, and any time the series even mentioned Chuckie’s mom, every kid’s room was filled to the brim with tears. This series depicted a group of young students that were always active, always getting into trouble, and most importantly, always playing baseball. There are few shows that can capture an audience as well as this one. This series was so great that Nickelodeon even decided to make a live-action movie, and they hired a big name director to bring it to life, too bad M. Night Shyamalan morphed the source material into an incomprehensible mess. Invader Zim is a WEIRD program. It’s surprising that Nickelodeon was actually brave enough to take a chance on this property, but fans of the series are so glad that they did. This belongs on a list of the most insane cartoons ever made, and it would probably be near the top of that list. The premise is that a young and clumsy alien wants to prove himself to his leaders, but they end up sending him to Earth, basically to get rid of him (and because they believe Earth is unimportant). Of course Zim sees this as an opportunity, and he attempts to conquer Earth with his robot companion. The real question is, what was his companions name?
Young Danny Fenton Was How Old When His Parents Built Their Very Strange Machine?
Danny Phantom is another incredibly fresh and original property, that basically serves as a superhero story. The story features a young boy who is altered completely when he steps inside his parents portal to the “ghost dimension.” Danny then uses his powers to combat any of the ghosts that make it through the portal, saving his town, his school, and his best friends in the process. No boy this age should have to deal with responsibilities this intense, but Danny is the perfect kid for the job.
What Show Featured Some Notoriously Furious Dam Builders?
This show never seemed to be as emotional as say Rugrats or Hey Arnold!, and it never quite reached the strange heights of series like Invader Zim or Ren & Stimpy. The show is a Nick classic cartoon though, and it was successful (once again) because Nick knows how to write compelling and interesting characters (especially duos). These two characters were always struggling to live together harmoniously, but they never quite seemed content with their living arrangements. But with these too characters, anger seemed to be par for the course.

Bubble Bass is one of the most infamous villains in the history of Spongebob, and he was especially villainous because he attacked one of the only things Spongebob truly held dear, his fry cooking skills. Dora The Explorer was a massively successful show that pandered to the younger generations at the time, teaching them various Spanish terms, as well as basic math, communication, and empathy. Of course Dora doesn’t travel completely alone, she has one of the best animal companions in animated history, and he’s always there to help her figure out exactly where she needs to go next. He is always quick to recommend exactly where Dora should head next, and he always makes sure to keep his eye out for Swiper, because he’s always swiping.

Legends of the Hidden Temple was an amazing kids game show that pitted 6 teams against each other to compete in physical and mental challenges in the prospects of attaining bragging rights, and apparently a trip to Busch Gardens. The game was intense because the questions given ranged from geographical questions, to science questions, and everything in between. Only the smartest and the fittest team would be able to reach the end, and week to week it was an exciting game to watch unfold.
