Let's start you off with a little appetizer, something to stretch out a little before this quiz really gives you a thumping. If you've been paying any sort of attention to Dragon Ball Z, you'll know that there are fighters who better themselves by training in weighted clothing. These clothes sometimes weight several hundred pounds, and the fighters really limber up once they shed the extra weight. Can you name the Z fighters that use weighted clothing? Alright, let's fast forward a little further down the series. Of course, we won't tell you exactly how far down we're going - that's up to you to remember. Of course, these little beans don't just sprout from your tomato plant - they're supplied by a certain Dragon Ball Z character. If you really know about the series, you'll have no problem recalling who that is.
How did Goku fly before he learned to fly?
In case you didn't know, there's a whole story that preceded the Dragon Ball Z series - the original Dragon Ball. This is the tale that starts when Goku lands on Earth and ends with his ultimate battle against Piccolo in the World Martial Arts Tournament. Here's a fun fact: Goku wasn't born knowing how to fly. Was Piccolo ever the strongest character in the series?
Piccolo, while not the strongest character in the series (or was he?), has a special place in many of our hearts as one of the coolest and definitely the wisest. In fact, Piccolo is the favorite character of Akira Toriyama, who wrote the Dragon Ball Z series. Piccolo was often at the front lines of battle and he certainly contributed his share. He's had several boosts of power throughout the series, but was there any point where he was the strongest character of all, if even for a short while?

Fusing made its iconic appearance in the Dragon Ball Z series right at the end. In the Buu Saga, the odds were so highly stacked against the Z fighters that each of them were under obligation to do anything it takes in order to get the edge. This included Gohan, of course, who always had the most untapped potential of all the Z warriors. When our heroes needed it the most, that potential was activated to 100%, and Gohan was transformed into Mystic Gohan. The question here is, how did Gohan obtain his Mystic Power?

In Dragon Ball Z, training is a pretty big deal. In fact, if you really think about it, the entire Dragon Ball Z series is just a bunch of epic battles spaced out by training periods. Naturally, with a setup like that, there are plenty of places to train in the Dragon Ball Z universe, each of them having their own advantages. Of course, you can get a good workout from your backyard alone, but sometimes it helps to give yourself the edge.
Is Hercule the strongest human being in the series?
You'll remember this ole mug, for sure: Hercule, the strongest man in the world. Or, at least, that's what he and his marketing team like to say. Most of our heroes come and go as they please, but there are people who make their home on this island. Can you tell us who that is? In Dragon Ball Z, even the hardest-hearted warriors have a chance to find love. By the gods themselves, this luck was bestowed upon little Krillin, who only wanted to be with the woman he truly loved. Thankfully for him, she didn't much mind the idea of having a little buddy to pass the time with. Eventually, the two even had a little baby daughter. In episode 1, what was the farmer's power level?
Every real Dragon Ball Z fan remembers how this greatest of all stories started. The series opener features a humble farmer tending to his land, when he sees a spherical ship crash down to Earth. Little did he know that this alien was Raditz, Goku's evil brother. Raditz had an interesting gadget latched over his eye - a scouter. As you'll know, this scouter can read the power level of anyone within scanning range. During episode 1, Raditz scanned the farmer's power level. What was his reading?
Is Videl part-Saiyan?
Recall that peaceful interim before the Buu saga kicked off, when Goku was dressing up as Great Saiyaman and fighting crime in his strange city. Videl was by his side for most of it, of course, partly because Gohan couldn't escape her. It was clear from the get-go that Videl possessed unusual power - enough for her to learn to fly and produce a ball of energy. In fact, if you think about it, she might even be part Saiyan... what do you think?
How did Super Buu escape from the Hyperbolic Time Chamber?
There was one eerie, horrifying chapter during the Buu Saga in which Super Buu was alone in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber with Goten, Trunks and Piccolo. With his insanely jacked-up power, the only way our heroes stood a chance was for Goten and Trunks to fuse in order to make Gotenks. Thankfully, they just taught themselves how to do that. The battle eventually ended with all of them being trapped in the chamber, but Buu still managed to escape. How did he do that?
Who was Goku's ultimate opponent at the end of the original Dragon Ball series?
By the grace of the gods, the original Dragon Ball series is there as a rescue ship filled with precious content once we’ve completed a cycle of Dragon Ball Z rewatches. If you’re any sort of real fan at all, you’ll have watched the original Dragon Ball series front and back - while reading the manga backwards and blindfolded. If you dd all that, you’ll remember that there was one ultimate opponent waiting for Goku at the very end of the series. It’s a familiar face, for sure.
In Trunks' timeline, who built the time machine?
If you thought that Trunks simply took a stroll down a random forest path to see his friends in the past, you’d be very wrong. Of course, the only rational way to travel through time is with a time machine. That’s exactly what Trunks had, and it worked like a charm. Someone had to build that thing - who was it? It was probably a key character in Trunks’ timeline. Rumor has it that whoever built that time machine did so in a cave, using scraps.
How many Cell Jr.'s were there?
During the climactic showdown of the Cell Saga, Cell was having fun with the overwhelmed Z warriors. After all, he had Frieza’s torturous cells in him. As an amusing game, he plopped out multiple little mini-me’s of himself that were ultra powerful. Since Cell was evil, he didn’t birth those monsters so that they could play tag - he created them so they could beat the froth out of and eventually kill the Z fighters spectating Gohan and Cell’s match. If you were paying attention, you’ll remember how many of those little nostrils Cell created.
What happened for Fat Buu to join the good side?
Fat Buu sounds like a pejorative term to refer to someone by, but Fat Buu really doesn’t mind it. In fact, these days, Fat Buu is a buddhistic good guy, hanging out and eating food in Hercules’ mansion. He started off as a nightmarish threat, responsible for the death of SSJ2 Vegeta! But at some point, he took a sharp turn for the good. This didn’t happen randomly, of course - something triggered it. Our question is, what triggered Buu’s change?
Was Super Saiyan 3 Goku stronger than Kid Buu 32?
As the main action of Dragon Ball Z was set to wrap itself up, Goku was fighting Buu to the death. Of course, this level of threat required our hero to use his maximum power - Super Saiyan 3. Goku’s transformation gave him exponentially increased strength, but it didn’t result in a clear victory. In fact, the two were trading punches. Eventually, Goku & company finished the menace off with an unreasonably big Spirit Bomb. If the fight between SSJ3 Goku and Buu had continued uninterrupted, who would have won? Was full-power Goku stronger than Kid Buu?
