The Lord Of The Rings Test That'll Tell You Which Villain You Are!

The land of Middle-Earth has been the grounds for war across many centuries. Starting with the deception of Melkor, the wickedness in those lands has only expanded since then. Coming down to the Dark Lord Sauron, he single-handedly launched several wars in the second and third ages respectively.

When it came time for The Lord of the Rings to take place, there was already quite a bit of chaos happening in the world. Sauron began building his armies in Dol Guldur during The Hobbit and was biding his time within the desolate land of Mordor. This is why so many people were willing to lay down their lives in order for the One Ring to be destroyed.

Sauron wasn't the only person trying to take down our heroes, though. There were several other villains who wanted to take the One Ring for themselves or for the glory of Sauron. Foes like the Witch-King of Angmar and Agandaur from War in the North were all waging war on the free peoples of Middle-Earth with extreme power and vengeance.

If you found yourself on the dark side of Middle-Earth, which of these terrible foes would you most likely become? You're about to find out.

Question 1

What is Your Favorite Race?

Middle-Earth is home to more than just men and elves. Many regions of that world have numerous different species roaming around. The dwarves live inside the massive mountains of the North and East. Orcs hide in caves and in the darkness of Mordor. Goblins lurk around in the shadows and wait to strike any unsuspecting victims who may come across their path.

Question 2

Choose a second-in-command

When commanding some of the largest and most dangerous armies in Middle-Earth, there requires a lot of intense control to make sure that goals are being met. One popular way that the villains accomplish this is by having a second-in-command who will lead the dark armies into battle. These ruthless generals typically are stronger and more powerful than regular soldiers and inspire fear in all who face them.

Question 3

Where Would You Like to Visit?

One of the things that Tolkien was heavily praised for was his worldbuilding. Middle-Earth didn't feel like something dreamt up for fiction- it felt like a living and breathing place full of different environments that we all want to explore. In the east, there are darker lands while the west is full of prosperous and mysterious cities. There is something for everyone in Middle-Earth, and we all have an ideal location.

Question 4

Which Region Would You Conquer First?

The dark foes of The Lord of the Rings didn't act on personal bias, but strategy. Based on where they were situated, they would choose to invade a particular area of Middle-Earth. Both Saruman and Sauron were in strategic locations based on the wars they were fighting, and this led to many intense battles. This would be a theme constantly repeated throughout the history of Middle-Earth.

Question 5

Who is Your Worst Enemy?

Despite how powerful some of the dark minds of Middle-Earth were, they were not invincible. Being such a phenomenal series of movies, The Lord of the Rings have gone on to spawn several entertaining video games. Question 7

Which Type of Magic Would You Use?

Magic is a consistent theme in The Lord of the Rings, and there's a stark difference between those who use it to do good and those who use it to bring harm. Resulting in the creation of giant spiders, demons, and even armies, there seems to be no limit to what dark magic can do.

Question 8

Who is Your Leader?

One of the scariest thoughts to entertain is the fact that Sauron is not the worst evil to come to Middle-Earth. There was one before him, Melkor, who started causing chaos for the free peoples. Being a much more horrifying and powerful foe, he caused all sorts of nightmares for everyone around. The worst part? He isn't even dead- merely chained as he bides his time to return and lead the dark armies once more.

Question 9

Pick a Soldier Type

When putting together one of the most threatening armies known to mankind, it's important that you know what type of soldiers you want to have. When working together, these three types could destroy even the mightiest armies.

Question 10

Do You Crave the One Ring?

The One Ring is the main object of interest in The Lord of the Rings. Forged years ago by the Dark Lord, Sauron, its purpose was to command all other Rings of Power in the world. Now that it resurfaced, Sauron is desperately trying to hunt it down and the free peoples are desperately trying to destroy it.

Question 11

Who is Your Favorite Fellowship Member?

The nine Nazgul were on the hunt for the One Ring, so it only makes sense that there would be nine companions tasked with taking it to Mount Doom, where it would be destroyed. Despite the fact that Sauron and his cohorts nearly won, the Fellowship eventually pulled through and saved the day.

Question 12

What is Your Favorite Battle?

As Sauron began moving his armies, war was marching on the horizon of Middle-Earth. The Uruk-Hai from Isengard marched to Helm's Deep at the end of the Two Towers while the forces of Mordor were headed towards the White City of Minas Tirith. The people targeted had to be ready for whatever came their way, as numerous soldiers were going to lose their lives to the forces of evil.

Question 13

Pick a Monster

Apart from the standard races, Middle-Earth is home to many terrifying monsters. Trolls are massive beasts who, when used for war, can tear down structures with ease. Cities were decimated simply by dark lords using these monsters.

Question 14

What Kind of Armor Would You Wear?

Being a place torn by war for generations, the villains of Middle-Earth know to put together a decent suit of armor. Question 15

What is Your Weapon of Choice?

Everyone in Middle-Earth knows the importance of learning how to fight, and many weapons are crafted as a result. Question 17

Who is Your Favorite Actor?

Part of what made the Lord of the Rings films so excellent was the actors who were signed on. Such massive movies required excellent performances from start to finish and, luckily, they all delivered. From Frodo's somber and conflicted nature to the wisdom and grumpiness of Gandalf the Grey, everyone was on point for the films. That goes for the villains too, who also had excellent actors to portray them.

Question 18

What is Your Biggest Weakness?

While the villains of Middle-Earth seem all-powerful and like they can't be brought down, they each have weaknesses that cause them to be destroyed. It's just a matter of finding their weak point.

How Good of a Fighter Are You?

While everyone in Middle-Earth learns how to fight, they all go about it differently. Aragorn takes a confident and skilled attitude to the battlefield as he mows down hordes of orcs. Then there's the villains, who use a combination of strength, magic, and swordplay to get the job done when facing their enemies.

Question 20

Pick Your Favorite Origin Story

Every villain has a different story. Some of them are born to rule and wage war on Middle-Earth, while others didn't start out that way. Take Smeagol, for example. From that point on, he was twisted and corrupted until he couldn't even remember his own name. He wasn't even recognizable.

Question 21

What is Your Mount?

Middle-Earth is a massive place, and traveling its length on foot is a tedious and unintelligent idea. That's why many of the dark forces are equipped with mounts they can ride to speed up the time. The Uruk-Hai are equipped with monstrous wolves to scourge the countryside and slay any citizens. Rohirric knights sit on horses and ride the plains to try and protect the people they love in retaliation.

Question 22

What's the Coolest Language?

On top of creating a world with unique races and locations, Tolkien also developed several unique languages to go along with it, taking linguistics classes to know how to craft them effectively. Question 23

Would You Like to Return if You Died?

Question 24

Which Movie is Your Favorite?

Not many people had heard of the legendary tale of The Lord of the Rings until Peter Jackson began work on adapting the books. Creating three extensive films, he received a lot of praise for his work, and The Return of the King holds the record for most Oscar movie awards (at the time of this writing). He was brought back for The Hobbit movies, but without the same amount of production time, they didn't turn out as well.

Question 25

Which Would You Like To Be the Most

Keeping track of all the different species in The Lord of the Rings is pretty difficult. It's made even more complicated when you add in the fact that Orcs were once Elves who were brought to darkness by Sauron himself. There seemed to be no limit to the kinds of beings that Tolkien would inject into his world, and we're still fascinated by the various creatures we can find there.
