Choosing a film for a movie night has never been easier. Today we have access to countless of films at a touch of a button. We can determine the kind of movie that we want to watch by reading various online reviews that can be found on online newspapers and sites such as IMDb and Rotten Tomatoes. And we can watch the selected movie by either logging onto our Netflix account or by paying a few dollars on YouTube.

Still, all this choice can make the actual process of choosing a film for a movie night rather stressful. We might find ourselves discouraged from watching a specific film that we would really enjoy by mediocre reviews or we might lack the patience to give a slow burner a chance. Why bother continuing with a movie that is unsuccessful in gripping us immediately when we can move on to something else in seconds?

Nonetheless, the ease with which we can watch films today more than makes up for the above mentioned drawbacks. Plus, it means that most of us are well versed in all things movies. When a group of gangsters take the life of a dog that belongs to an ex-hitman named John Wick, the latter decides to come out of retirement so as to hunt them down and get revenge for his innocent furry friend.
