Tell Us About Your SO, And We'll Tell You If You're Beauty Or The Beast!

Disney’s 1992 animated film “Beauty and the Beast” has never truly left the eye of popular culture, but it had, for awhile, become a fringe-element of some Disney fans. However, with the live-action re-make with Emma Watson and Luke Evans, audiences of all ages are once again, in love with a movie that has become a tale as old as time (you really should have seen that one coming). From favourite songs such as "Be Our Guest" that inspired our imagination and wonder over the music and choreography to “Tale As Old As Time” where so many of us, even now, yearn for that amount of touching romance (let’s be real, it’s not AS cheesy as other things), Beauty and the Beast is perhaps one of the best films produced in the Renaissance Era of Disney. But did you ever REALLY consider why so many of us find it iconic? I mean, the music and the dancing by people-turned-objects is imaginative and fun, yes, but that’s obviously not it. The love story between Belle and the Beast (or Prince Adam), has become iconic in of itself. Why, you ask? Because this is one of the first Disney films where the characters learn about each other, and even argue on-screen, before they fall in love. Unlike “The Little Mermaid” (which I love), Belle does not fall in love with the Beast at first-sight. WHAT A CONCEPT!

Question 1

Do strange and interesting things excite them?

Probably one of the best features of ‘Beauty and the Beast’ is the servants-turned-objects. Question 2

Question 4

Can they be grumpy?

The Beast definitely wins the “whose grumpier" contest within the film.
