Something or someone we can't have has always had its appeal. But what if that something (someone?) is a vampire? Boy, do I have a couple television shows to get into. Believe it or not, vampires have been romanticized for years before the likes of "Twilight", "Buffy the Vampire Slayer", "True Blood", and "The Vampire Diaries". Many years, actually. Think 1897. Yes, way before the internet, people were fantasizing about the immortal.
One of the best examples of early vampire fantasies is "Dracula" by Bram Stoker where Count Dracula, not to be confused with Count Chocula, was introduced. Dracula purchases a home in London, and moves from Transylvania for new blood. Literally. Although there is no physical romance in "Dracula", the seduction of such a being is definitely present.
There's definitely vampires between Count Dracula and Edward Cullen (Hello, Angel from "Buffy the Vampire Slayer?") but Stephenie Meyer's young adult novel that was released in 2005 really made people vampire crazy. The story tells the tale of an awkward teenager that moves to Washington and falls in love with an ancient vampire stuck in the body of a young adult.

Fall may be the most associated with vampires due to Halloween being on October 31st. People dress up as vampires, and maybe as one of the famous vampires below. However, vampires exist year round so there has to be some kind of preference in temperature, season, or time of year.

Almost every holiday has a movie themed around it. Christmas and other winter holiday movies are the most popular, but there's definitely something for everyone. There are scary movies, but there are specific Halloween movies as well to enjoy during the fall months. The Nightmare Before Christmas is an example of a movie that can be a Halloween or Christmas movie.
What's the best school subject?
If one is going to live for thousands of years as a vampire, then one might as well learn a couple things. Edward Cullen and his family of vampires, that were converted by the same vampire, keep switching schools because they stay teenagers forever. Edward met Bella, the love of his life, in a biology class.

With Halloween around the corner, we're definitely going to touch on everyone's favorite ghost and ghouls holiday. On Halloween night, children will go door to door and ask their neighbors for candy with the phrase "trick or treat". What is the best candy that a trick-or-treater would find after a night out on Halloween?

Vampires are known for using blood as their substance. Unless one in a vampire, they are going to choose something else to hydrate. Maybe a cup of water, soda, or juice. There are people who believe they are vampires and partake in ingesting human juice. However, this is not considered a safe practice by medical professionals.
Choose an activity
Vampire activities include avoiding garlic and falling in love with mortals, if every vampire was like the fictional vein-ingesting guys in popular media. Some vampires may also be passionate about music, poetry, and art. How romantic.
Pick a writing utensil
If one is indeed a vampire that's passionate about writing or poetry, it's time to pick a writing utensil to place to the paper. This is to write a mortal soulmate a love letter about how they make a vampire feel "human". The love letter is not irrelevant, it's super romantic.
Choose a book
Most of our favorite vampires come from media. Many television shows and movies are inspired by books such as Twilight, True Blood, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, and The Vampire Diaries. That's right, vampire visual media isn't all that original, most are characters from authors such as Stephanie Meyer and Charlaine Harris.
Pick an action movie
Action movies are one of the most popular genres. They usually include a hero that's responsible for saving a person, place, or thing. There's also a lot of action involved (duh) such as battles, explosions, and fast cars. An action film may also include a lot of computer graphics for that reason.
Pick a color
Colors are important and hold a lot of symbolism in media and culture. For example, red is the color of passion, white is the color of purity, and yellow can represent joy or friendship. A person wouldn't want to send a yellow rose to someone they are romantically interested in. It would give the wrong idea.

Fruit comes from flowering plants, and all fruit has seeds unless genetically removed. For example, watermelon has been bred to have a species that doesn't produce seeds. This genetic form of watermelon is technically infertile. Fruit is filled with sugar, but it is natural sugar that is healthy for people.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer, True Blood, and The Vampire Diaries are all television shows. They are all marketed to different demographics, but they all involve vampires. True Blood is for a mature market while The Vampire Diaries is made for young adults. Buffy The Vampire Slayer is old enough that it appeals to all audiences.

These vampires, despite being alive for thousands of years, appear to be super stylish and in with the times...at least when the show or film aired. Maybe they're a little old fashioned due to that fact, but there's no way a vampire is going to be dressed in sweatpants and a T-shirt. In public at least.
Choose some fast food
Although vampires do not consume human food, they can be skilled in making it. In the book and film, Edward Cullen's family of vampires makes his human companion, Bella, an Italian dinner. You know, Bella...Italian for beautiful. There's no need for making food tonight though, we're choosing some fast food.
Pick a poet
Vampires are dangerous for humans to be around...you know with the whole warm blooded thing. It seems that people are attracted to the danger, or that the danger is attracted to them. How poetic. A partner does not need to be a mythical creature to be a bad boy though.
Choose a song
Music is another hobby of vampire, Edward Cullen. When Bella goes to visit Edward and his family at their large home in the woods, he plays the piano for her. He wrote a song, Bella's Lullaby, which in the film was composed by Carter Burwell, a famous composer from New York City.
Pick a car
With eternal life, that's a long time to save up for a dream car. Especially if proper food, medical care, and other human necessities are obsolete. Who doesn't love a status symbol. Are vampire luxury sports car types or United States made utility types? Pick the best kind of car to drive as an immortal being.
Choose a TV network
Every television show runs on a network, and that network will have certain content curated to a specific market. For example, Disney Channel, Nickelodeon, or Cartoon Network is presented with children and young adults in mind. HBO is for an adult audience that values premium content, while network television is more for a family audience.
Pick the best character
Characters are what make television and movies shine. Everyone has a favorite character. Maybe they're super relatable or they are even more funnier than the funniest friend in real life. Sometimes they're evil, but still the best character. Good characters in media are complex and have extremes of regular people.

If one is a vampire, or other mythological creature, is Halloween the best holiday? Think about it, the one day a year a vamp can be their self because anyone who doesn't know better will think it's a costume. Hm, maybe those pointy fangs and look a little too real for a human.
Choose a dream vacation spot
Vacations are a great time to step away from responsibilities, work, and everything else life is throwing at you. It's even better when it's possible to go somewhere really neat to relax, try new things, and get away. Everyone has a dream vacation spot. If a beach is ideal, try the Caribbean.
Pick a shoe style
Shoes, oh my God, shoes. Fashion has never been so functional. Shoes protect and support our feet while walking. For a night out, choose something a little more fancy, but for everyday, sneakers are the perfect footwear. Especially if there's a lot of walking involved. The more supportive, the better for the feet.

When one thinks vampires, they might think about alternative, rock, or punk music. Some famous songs about vampires include "Vampires Will Never Hurt You" by My Chemical Romance, "Creatures of the Night" by Creepshow, and "Hunting Humans" by The Misfits. There are plenty more because vampires are definitely punk rock.
Choose a pop star
Pop songs about vampires are a little less plenty, but vampires are characterized as immortal, and we're pretty sure Beyonce hasn't aged a year. Other pop stars that seem to avoid aging are Rihanna, Lana Del Rey, and Pharrell Williams. Williams has even made a statement that he is not indeed a vampire and accounts his youthfulness to skincare.
Pick a mythological creature
If one is anything like Daenerys Targaryen, dragon taming is in their blood. It's hard to believe we've made it a year without Game of Thrones. Fire breathing, flying reptiles may not be for everyone though. A Pegasus is a flying horse, which is great for all of the horse girls out there.

An urban legend is a tall tale that is considered contemporary folklore. Although these stories are allegedly false, they are often perceived as real. Instead of the telling of stories, these might be spread over social media or the internet. These stories have to do with culture and sometimes are used to explain odd phenomenons.

Pumpkin carving is a fall tradition that usually revolves around Halloween to create a Jack O' Lantern. Speaking of folklore, the tradition of carving pumpkins comes from the Irish folklore of Stingy Jack. Early Jack O' Lanterns in Ireland were made out of root vegetables such as potatoes and beets.
Choose a superhero
Superheros are characters that have supernatural powers like strength, agility, or flight. Their job is to protect the public from harm, usually an equally powerful super villain. Arguably, a vampire could be considered a superhero, that is if they don't harm humans, but as a whole, they are closer categorized as villains.

In the movies and television we watch, there are actors and actresses. These people portray our favorite on screen vampires. Before Robert Pattinson portrayed Edward Cullen in the Twilight films, he was Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. The British actor is most famous for his role in Twilight.
Choose a way to relax
What relaxes a person is telling. Some people would rather watch hours of Netflix in bed opposed to going for a jog to decompress. There's nothing wrong with either, but that's just how people are. Those two options won't do it for everyone though and a non-athletic bookworm won't be afraid to say it.
Pick a coat
We've picked some shoes, and since it's the middle of fall, it's time to pick a coat too. In some parts of the world, a winter coat is obsolete and the coldest weather requires a light jacket. Can't relate. Although coats are practical pieces of clothing, that doesn't mean they can't be stylish.

What does makeup have to do with vampires? Just halloween and people using makeup to add drama to their faces. Maybe pick a red lipstick and dark eyeshadow...after all, a lipstick color will help conceal any messy eating. Halloween makeup is sold everywhere this time of year, however Kylie Cosmetics just revealed a spooky collection of her own.

We're all about books here. A person may not have enjoyed reading during school, but that education is what allows comprehension of this quiz. Contrary to popular belief, these handsome vampires don't live in coffins. All the time at least. To each their own. Whether you're in Washington or Louisiana, a vampire needs a place to stay. The Cullens chose Forks, Washington because the north west state is very rainy. Vampires...not the biggest fans of the sun.
