Eleven and Max are the two younger female protagonists from Stranger Things. They are very different people, but then again, Eleven is a very interesting young woman. She shows up in season one after escaping from a lab that gave her supernatural abilities, like telekinesis. She can also track people and see places in her mind. She helped everyone destroy some inter-dimensional creatures in both seasons, saving everyone's lives. Eleven is courageous, but she is young. She loves waffles, her friends, and even develops a crush on Mike.
On the other hand, Max mysteriously moves to town in the beginning of season 2. She is also a very brave girl. Her brother is abusive to her, her mother married an abusive man, and she has to start over in a new town. She enjoys video games and calls herself "Madmax" on them. After learning about the Upside Down, she tries to help everyone out, despite the fact that she has no obligation to do so. She is feisty but kind.

The Upside Down is no amusement park. It is terrifying and cold and filled with dangerous creatures. Will was stuck down there for a long time and Eleven has been forced there too. In Stranger Things, each main character spends lots of time defending themselves either from bullies or from supernatural beings. The Upside Down is hard to control, so they often turn to violence to defend themselves. Eleven, however, uses her mind. When it comes to real life, telekinesis is not going to help much. There are a lot of people who beat around the bush when it comes to communication. Those who are tired of that speak bluntly. It can upset some people, but is the most effective method of communication. Other people use sarcasm to convey their opinions to be funny or hide their strong opinions. Communication can be tough. Being caught in a crisis is extremely stressful. A good example of this is when Joyce's son went missing and she did not handle it very well. However, everyone faced it differently. There are so many elements of life that you can value but then there are these two that seem to recur in Stranger Things. It seems as if they are always pursuing safety and that it is unattainable.
