The Harry Potter series is known for having a ton of adventure, and some pretty lovable characters. Who did not like watching Harry, Hermione, and Ron grow up as we were all growing up as well? We also fell in love with some other fun side characters as well like Luna Lovegood and Neville Longbottom. We learned that good always triumphs over evil if you do what is right, and Harry was the poster child of doing the right thing all of the time. He also had the best of friends to always back him up when things got a little rough. And believe me when I say things got pretty darn rough for the poor guy.

Dumbledore is a great person, but he is not for everyone. He is in charge of Hogwarts, but not everyone agrees that he is the best for the job. He always is one for making the best decisions to keep everyone safe, but in some cases, he puts Harry in peril.

Hermione can be a tough nut to crack. She is pretty serious but she really does care deeply about her friends. She always has the answers that she needs when the time is right, but she sometimes comes off as a know it all at the same time. Some people love her and some people are turned off.

The Triwizard Tournament is nothing to sneeze at. People have lost their lives in it including Cedric Diggery. Harry was accidentally added to the Goblet of Fire so he had to compete against his will as the four competitor. What a calamity that ended up being.

Gryffindor is a great house to be part of. They are all about valor and honor. They put their friends first and always stand up for the right thing. That is the house that Harry wanted to join when he was under the Sorting Hat. All of his friends are also in Gryffindor.

Potions class is very important because you can brew up anything from disguises to truth potions. It is important to know what ingredients are in each potion so you can make them correctly. They are more difficult than you may think. Not everyone is good at potions class either.

Quidditch is like a mix of hockey and soccer...sort of. The only difference between these games is that you fly on a broomstick. Harry was really great at Quidditch, in fact, he was a seeker or finds the small and fast golden snitch. it isn't easy to catch it, but he did it.

Dumbledore's Army was put together so they could defend Hogwarts and learn spells to defend themselves against the dark arts. The school was not teaching them about the dark arts at the time because the ministry cracked down about what they should and should not be learning.

Snape is another character that is not so easy to get along with. Some characters fly under the radar with him, and some are Slytherins so they get along with him well, and some are like Harry and butt heads with him. Snape is not one to sit back and just let students walk all over him.

Umbridge is a stickler for the rules and old school punishment. We also find out later in the series that she is a hard core supporter of Voldemort as well. She is just all around bad news, and Harry does not seem to get along with her whatsoever.

Dobby was not the easiest creature to get along with when Harry first met him. In fact, he got him into a heap of trouble because Harry would not agree to not go back to Hogwarts. Dobby was only trying to protect him, but it came off the wrong way.
