Since book one of the Harry Potter series, we've been completely enraptured with the wizarding world. The spells, the enchantments, the curses, the hexes—heck, just the magic of it all! It's just too much to resist. The world of Harry Potter may be completely fictional (if we don't count the theme park), but that still doesn't stop us from daydreaming about it on a daily basis. We can't help but imagine how amazing it would be to be a part of that world.
Who wouldn't want to hop aboard the Hogwarts Express and spend a year (or seven) learning all that there is to learn about magic? Our eleventh birthday came and went, and many years have passed since then. We're sorry to say it, but our Hogwarts acceptance letter never arrived, and we're starting to wonder if we're ever going to get in. We're going to keep our fingers crossed just in case, but in the meantime, how's about we all sit back and imagine how rad it would be to study at that revered place of learning? Now's the chance to live like a young witch or wizard. Spend a day at Hogwarts School of Witchraft and Wizardy, and we'll reveal your animagus!
Pick a wand, any wand
So, you want to go to Wizard school, eh? Great! But, before you go off casting spells half-cocked, there are a couple of things we need to sort out ahead of time. First, you'll need a wand. In the wise words of Ollivander, "the wand chooses the wizard", so which of these magic sticks would take a shine to you?
Pick a pet
Hogwarts students are allowed to bring a pet with them to school, and if you can have a pet, then why in the name of Merlin's beard would you choose not to? A school that teaches magic couldn't possibly be anything other than cool, but it'll be that much cooler with a four-legged friend by your side.
Choose a Hogwarts house
With your wand at the ready and a pet by your side, there's only one thing left standing between you and a magical day at Hogwarts. To make the most of your visit to this famous school, you need to join a house. Doff the Sorting Hat and let it figure out where you'll fit best. So, which of the four houses do you belong?
Now, what's for breakfast?
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day for us muggles, but we have to assume that the same is true for magic folk, too. Before heading to your classes, start your day off right with a very witchy and/or wizardy meal. Which of the following sounds like it'll hit the spot?
Head to the first class of the day
Breakfast is over, the plates have been cleared away (with magic, of course) and now it's time to wave goodbye to your friends and head off to your first class. A quick look at your schedule shows that your first lesson is in the castle, so you head off to which classroom?
On to Transfiguration
The next stop of the day is Transfiguration class, taught by Professor McGonagall. Transfiguration is the branch of magic that focuses on transforming an object, creature or animal's physical appearance. This is also the field of magic a student needs to study in order to learn how to become an animagus. What're you learning to transfigure today?
What's new in herbology class?
Herbology is the study of magical plants, some of which are more interesting than others. If you're lucky, Professor Sprout will teach you about a relatively benign plant. If you're not so lucky? You'll be forced to put on a pair of ear muffs and re-pot a bunch of screaming, fussy mandrakes. Which plant sounds most interesting?
Impress a professor
Classes are for learning, but they're also for showing off. What's the point in knowing all of that stuff if you can't show other people that you know it, right? Channel your inner Hermione and choose a brainiac stunt to pull. How will you impress your professor and prove your mental superiority to your peers?
Enjoy a free period
Learning all of this magical stuff is completely amazeballs, there's no doubt about it. But at this point, your brain is so full of new information, it's likely to burst if you don't give it a little break so it can soak everything in. Fortunately, you have a free period next to enjoy however you see fit.
Get lost and choose something to stumble upon
Hogwarts is a big place, and for a new student like yourself, getting lost is just a matter of course. On your way to one of your classes, you take a left instead of a right and you somehow end up in exactly the wrong place. But during your accidental excursion, you stumble upon something interesting. Oh, no. It's Filch!
Even though you got lost by accident, it looks like you're really paying the price for your mistake, now. Your bad luck just got significantly worse. Wouldn't you know it? Choose a location to visit
Hogwarts is more than just a school for young witches and wizards, it's a veritable magical destination! This place is practically a wizarding landmark. There's plenty to explore in that big old castle, with all of its nooks and crannies. Pick one indoor location you would like to stop by before the day is done.

Hagrid is more than the teacher of one of your classes, he's also a good friend. The guy is the literal walking talking definition of a "friendly giant". But, as sweet and kind as he is, he's always managing to get himself into some kind of scrape. Catch up with your half-giant bestie. What's he up to today?

You've been exploring the inside of Hogwarts for quite a while now. It's time to venture outdoors and see what this gorgeous place to offer on the grounds. There are a ton of places to go here, you can't possibly explore them all. Pick a single outdoor location that you would most like to visit.
Choose a historical witch or wizard to read up on
One of your assignments is to choose a famous witch or wizard to research. After perusing the library, you realize there are millions of fascinating people who have helped advance magic to the state it's in today—as well as others who have most definitely *not* helped. Chose a historical magical figure to learn more about.
Predict the future
Time for Divination class now. Divination is a complex field of study employing a variety of tactics designed to help the user to see into the future. Divination is essentially the horoscope and/or astrology of the wizarding world, but, hey...sometimes it hits the nail on the head. Choose a way to predict your future.
Study a magical creature
Your next class is Care of Magical Creatures, taught by Rubeus Hagrid. As an animal lover himself, Hagrid is more than qualified to teach students about the many magical creatures that exist in the wizarding world, although sometimes things can get a little out of hand. Which magical creature do you get up close and personal with today?
Grab some lunch
Breakfast was a long time ago, as your stomach has seen fit to remind you. Now that your last class is over, it's time to head back to the dining hall for a quick lunch and a break to chat with your friends. Prepare for another round of classes by enjoying a hearty meal.

Looks like the mail is here! Witches and wizards don't use snail mail or email, they rely on their own unique methods of mail delivery, namely owls. While a flock of assorted birds soars through the air in the dining hall, one of them stops in front of you. What's it carrying?
