In 2012, Arrow premiered on The CW network. The live-action series is based on characters from DC Comics. It centers on the archer superhero Green Arrow, played by Stephen Amell.
The series became such a hit that shows based on the speedster superhero the Flash and Superman's young cousin Supergirl followed. Now, there are several shows based on characters from DC Comics on The CW network. All of the shows exist in the same universe and often crossover with each other. This shared television universe is called the Arrowverse by fans. This distinguishes it from other DC Universes, such as the animated universe (DCAU) and the film universe (DCEU).
The full Arrowverse currently includes the live-action shows Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, and Legends of Tomorrow. There are also two animated shows in the universe: Vixen and Freedom Fighters: The Ray. There is a huge cast of characters between the six shows (and a seventh show is going to be added soon). Barry fell into a coma for nine months after the accident. But when he awoke, he discovered that he had gained superpowers, including super speed, enhanced strength, an accelerated healing factor, and the ability to vibrate the molecules of his body.
Kara Danvers
Kara Zor-el is from the planet Krypton. Their home planet was dying, so her family sent her and her cousin, Kal-el to Earth. Both children were sent separately in individual pods. But her pod was knocked off course and she ended up trapped in the Phantom Zone, a dimension where time does not pass. When she finally reached Earth, she reunited with her cousin. The yellow sun of the planet gives them both extraordinary powers. She uses these powers to be a hero.
Roy Harper
Roy Harper is a tough, street-smart kid who is eager to become a hero. He starts off patrolling alone and taking on low-level thugs. He is later injected with a Japanese super-soldier serum created during World War II called the Mirakuru. This serum gives him super strength, stamina, durability, senses, and endurance. His body also heals at a much faster rate. However, the serum also comes with side effects like rage issues. Roy uses these powers to become the vigilante Arsenal.
Caitlin Snow
Caitlin Snow is a talented bio-engineer, an expert medic, and a certified genius. She has an evil alter ago from another dimension named Killer Frost, who has the ability to create and manipulate ice. She can also absorb all surrounding heat to create freezing temperatures and she is immune to the cold. She eventually gains the same powers as her evil doppelgänger. She is a hero, but she often struggles to control her power and emotions and fears that she will become evil as well.
Which show does Ray Palmer currently star in?
Ray Palmer designs a powerful exosuit, which he uses to become a vigilante known as the Atom. However, an explosion causes his suit to malfunction and shrink to a miniature size. He is trapped at this size for months until he is finally freed. He learns how to control this ability and learns how to strategically alter his size. Slade Wilson
Slade Wilson was once a member of an elite squad of the Australian Secret Intelligence Service. He is a formidable hand to hand combatant, marksman, and swordsman. He is also known by the names Deathstroke and the Terminator. He becomes even stronger when injected with a Japanese super soldier serum called Mirakuru. He becomes unhinged and obsessed with vengeance. He is captured and imprisoned in an A.R.G.U.S. supermax facility. He eventually reforms and sets out to reconnect with Joe, his long lost son.
Cat Grant
Cat Grant is a mega successful journalist and famous media personality. She is even known to others as "The Queen of all Media." She started off as an assistant for a newspaper editor and then went on to create her own media company, Catco Worldwide Media. She served as its CEO until she eventually decides to step down from her company. She becomes the White House Press Secretary under president Olivia Marsdin (the president of the United States in the Arrowverse).
Jesse Wells
Jesse Chambers Wells is from another dimension of the world called Earth Two. While on Earth One, she was hit by a dark matter wave from the S.T.A.R. Labs particle accelerator. She briefly fell into a coma. When she awoke, she discovered that she had gained superpowers. She can run at super human speeds, fast enough to break the sound barrier. She also has enhanced stamina and a regenerative healing ability. She eventually returns to Earth Two and forms a team of heroes.
Laurel Lance
Laurel Lance was an accomplished lawyer. She was once a legal aid attorney and worked her way up to being assistant district attorney of Starling City. She is later inspired to become a vigilante and trains extensively to become Black Canary. She is skilled in hand to hand combat and other combat skills. She is fatally stabbed by a former member of the League of Assassins. After her death, her identity is revealed to the world and she is remembered as a hero.
Cisco Ramon
Francisco Ramon, better known by his nickname Cicso and also known by the name Vibe, is a mechanical engineering at S.T.A.R. Labs. He gained superpowers after being struck by dark matter energy from S.T.A.R. Labs' particle accelerator explosion. He has the ability to manipulate the vibrational energy of reality, generate strong blasts of vibration, and open portals to other dimensions. He can also see various events throughout time and space, meaning he can see into the past, future, and other dimensions.
Felicity Smoak
Felicity Smoak is a talented computer scientist and hacker. She graduated from the prestigious school M.I.T. with a master's degree in Cyber Security and Computer Sciences. She uses her computer skills to help several Arrowverse heroes. She will gather needed information from the field, help woth investigative work and covert operations, and hack into even the most complex systems. At times, she will also go undercover to gather intelligence. She is known by the code name Overwatch. Which show is she from?
Kendra Saunders
Kendra Saunders is the reincarnation of an ancient Egyptian priestess. She is continuously reincarnated throughout time with her lover, the ancient Egyptian prince Khufu. She learns archery, kenjutsu, martial arts, and hand to hand combat. She is also a skilled swordsman and stick fighter. She returns to her hometown and operates as the vigilante Speedy.
Iris West
Iris West is an investigative journalist. She starts working for the Pulitzer-winning journalist Mason Bridge at Central City Picture News after getting a master's degree in psychology. They both investigate the explosion of S.T.A.R. Labs' particle accelerator, which Iris find incredibly suspicious. In fact, the explosion had caused several people in the city to become meta humans. She eventually becomes involved with the meta human superheroes in her city and runs mission control. She works under the code name "Eye in the Sky"
Mari McCabe
Mari McCabe was born in Zambesi Village, located in the M'Changa Province of Zambesi. Her family possess the Anansi Totem, a mystical object that allows whoever is holding to tap in to the life force of animals. This allows the holder to harness all the abilities of the entire animal kingdom. She uses its power to be a hero. She stars in one of the CW Seed's animated shows. Which series does she appear in? Zari Tomaz, known as Z, possesses the Air Totem. The amulet gives her the power to manipulate air and fly. She is also an expert computer hacker and is skilled in hand-to-hand combat. Zari is from a dystopian future where the Advanced Research Group United Support (A.R.G.U.S.) has taken control of the United States. Religion is banned in the country and there are strict laws against meta humans. She escapes this by traveling back in time and becoming a hero.
M'gann M'orzz
M'gann M'orzz is an alien from the planet Mars. She is a member of the White Martian race, which set out to slaughter the Green Martian race. She did not agree with the genocide of the Green Martians and attempted to save them. She failed and fled to Earth for years to escape the violence. She ends up returning to Mars to seek out other peaceful White Martians. As a Martian, she has incredible powers including shape shifting, density shifting, flight, and telepathy
Dr Harrison Wells/Eobard Thawne
Eobard Thawne was born in the 22nd century to an affluent family. He was a scientist who studied an extra-dimensional source of energy called The Speed Force. This is the source of power for several superheroes in the DC Universe with super speed. He became obsessed with gaining this power for himself so that he could be a great hero. He manages to gain the powers of super speed himself and time travel. He then goes back in time to the 21st century and assumes the identity of Dr Harrison Wells.
John Diggle
John Diggle is a former bodyguard and soldier who continues his heroics as a vigilante superhero. His extensive military training makes him incredibly strong and aware of his surroundings. He is also an expert marksman, hand-to-hand combatant, tactician and an exceptional leader. In the beginning of his vigilante, John would often work behind the scenes. He later wears a protected suit and and a helmet to conceal his identity in the field and begins going by the code name Spartan.

Red Tornado also has the power to manipulate the air around him to create powerful blasts of air and tornadoes. The android appears in the Arrowverse dimension Earth X. It shares many similarities to Earth One and has many of the same heroes. But there is one key difference - the Nazis won World War II due to a Japanese invasion of California and nuclear technology obtained by Germany.
Malcolm Merlyn
Malcolm Merlyn is wealthy and successful businessman. He served as CEO of his company Merlyn Global Group. He was trained by the League of Assassins to be a deadly mercenary. He was known as The Magician with the League. He later becomes a villain known as the Dark Archer. He has been featured on a couple of shows in the Arrowverse. But which show did he first appear in? Maggie Sawyer
Maggie Sawyer is a police detective of the National City Police Department. The parallel world contains many alternate versions of superheroes from Earth One fighting back against the Reich. Black Condor has the power to fly at high speeds and control the winds. Shado is the daughter of the master archer and martial artist Yao Fei Gulong. She is known for a tattoo of a dragon on the top left of her back. She was studying as a pre med student until she was kidnapped by the mercenary Edward Fyers in an attempt to force her father to cooperate with Fyers' plans. Shado was trained by her father to be a master archer and skilled martial artist. She is killed by Dr. Anthony Ivo.

Kuasa was born in the fictional African country Zambesi. The people of Zambesi are blessed with five mystical totems. Each harnesses a power of nature. Kuasa holds the Water Totem, which gives her the power to control the element. She can morph water into different forms and shoot powerful blasts at her enemies. She also has the ability to turn herself into water. Later on, after she is killed and resurrected, she is able to control water on her own without the totem.
Samantha Arias
Samantha Arias is biological weapon created on the planet Krypton. She is also known by the code name Reign. Her genes were augmented from centuries of experimentation by Kryptonian scientists. This genetic experimentation makes her much stronger than the average Kryptonian. She was sent to Earth as a baby. Right before the planet was destroyed, a mysterious group put her in an escape pod. They cited an ancient legend and said that she would grow strong on Earth and one day reign.

Eddie Thawne is a police detective. He worked with the Keystone City Police Department and then transfers to the Central City Police Department. He is one of the first people in the department to learn that meta human existed in the city. The super powered humans were created when they were struck during the S.T.A.R. Dinah Drake is a police lieutenant, formerly a detective. She is struck by dark matter when the S.T.A.R. Labs particle accelerator explodes. This alters her DNA and cells to turn her into a meta human. She gains the ability to emit a superhuman sonic scream that is powerful enough to send humans and heavy objects flying. Nate Heywood
Nate Heywood is a historian that specializes in deductive historical reconstruction. Or, as he describes it, he is a time detective. He is injected with a bimolecular enhancer serum that gives him the power to transform his skin into steel. He is at least five times as strong as a normal human. He allows has the ability to withstand bullets, knives, and great falls with little to no injuries. His body also heals incredibly quickly. He fights under the codename Steel.
Mon-El
Mon-El is from the planet Daxam, which is located 2,000 light years from Earth. It orbits a red sun named Rao. He was the royal son of King Lar Gand and Queen Rhea. An explosion of a nearby planet creates shock waves that hit the moons of Daxam. This causes gravity on the planet to fluctuate and creates solar storms that destroy the world. Mon-el escapes to Earth. The remaining residents escaped on various ships and are scattered around the universe.
Rene Ramirez
Rene Ramirez is a former Navy SEAL who was dishonorably discharged for getting too violent with a prisoner. He is inspired to become a hero and begins to fight crimes on the streets under the name Wild Dog. He starts off rocky and clashes with the other, established heroes of the city. Eventually, he teams up with the heroes and trains with them. He is skilled in hand to hand combat and an expert marksman. His primary weapons are two pistols and a sniper rifle.
Clifford DeVoe
Clifford DeVoe is a history professor who became a super villain known as The Thinker. He was one of many people struck by dark matter during the S.T.A.R. Labs particle accelerator explosion. He was struck while he was wearing the Thinking Cap, a device that allows a human to use the full capacity of their brain. The combination of wearing the cap and the dark matter enhanced his already high intelligence to superhuman levels. He gains the power to read minds.
Lena Luthor
Lena was born into the millionaire Luthor family. Her mother was the mistress of Lionel Luthor. Her half brother is Lex Luthor, a famed inventor, scientist, and business man. He is known as one of the smartest people in the world. Lex slowly looses his mind and becomes a super villain. He is arrested and sentenced to thirty-seven consecutive life terms in Stryker's Island Penitentiary for his crimes. After he is locked up, Lena takes over the Luthor family company.
Benatu Eshu
General Benatu Eshu is a warlord from Zambesi, a fictional African country. He later becomes the ambassador of the country. The people of Zambesi are blessed with five mystical totems. Each harnesses a power of nature. Benatu sought to obtain all of totems for himself. In his quest, he completely destroys a village in the country. When he discovers one of the totem holders is in the city of Detroit in America, he renounces his ambassador status and threatens to burn down the city.
