What if we had the power to control who stayed on our favorite hit television shows and who didn't, all with the click of a few buttons. Forget the writers and their scripts! Imagine if we could cast off some of the actors that we have grown tired of, Survivor-style? It could be fun, right?
Television has the power to do a lot of things. Our favorite shows can make us feel an array of emotions so strong that it's almost shocking. We have sobbed over character passings, (most of us will never recover from Jack's demise on This Is Us,) and we have felt fear so strong, we couldn't sleep for at least a week. (Thanks American Horror Story.) Television makes us believe, doubt and wonder. It's a powerful medium to be sure.

The Good Doctor
The Good Doctor is one of those shows that sucks viewers in and refuses to let go. It's all about a brilliant young surgeon who just happens to also have Autism. How will he navigate the social world of hospital politcs and relationships? It won't be easy, but a good doctor can find a way.
The Voice
Reality shows like The Voice are love or hate kinds of things. The Voice showcases powerhouse vocals and famous musical names backing the contestants and guiding them through the contest to see who indeed has the voice of an angel. Is this show sing-along worthy or lacking in plot and sustenance?
Mom
The hit sitcom Mom is no doubt funny, but also includes some serious undertones. If this type of mix is up your alley, then, by all means, tune into Mom. A mother and daughter duo find their way into one another's lives again while battling addiction and life's curveballs side by side.
Survivor
If watching perfect strangers try and survive the elements while nearly wasting away to nothing on foreign lands sounds like a blast, then Survivor is your jam! Skip out on this show if watching human beings eat mealworms and stand around on stumps until they practically pass out sounds cringe-worthy.
Will and Grace
Will and Grace are the best of friends who make us believe that perhaps a soulmate comes in more shapes and forms than a romantic partner. Will and Grace belong together like peanut butter and jelly, and a reboot of this show made a whole lot of fans really happy.
NCIS
NCIS, which stands for The Naval Criminal Investigative Services, is a long-standing series based on another show called JAG and will have hearts pumping for the duration of the show. There is a whole lot of intensity and action in this series, so it may be best to not watch it right before sleepy time.
Game of Thrones
Dragons, romance and tons of epic battle scenes make Game of Thrones one of television's most watched shows. The squeamish will want to bypass this HBO series because a whole lot of nasty stuff goes down in just about every episode. Hardcore Throners only, please. Everyone else tune into something lighter.
Veep
Julie Louis-Dreyfus portrays an ex-senator and present Vice President of the United States in VEEP. The struggle to balance her work life and personal life is more than a little bit complicated at times, but this gal always finds a way to spin her stuff. Does VEEP get your vote?
The Crown
The Crown gives viewers the inside story to Queen Elizabeth, her family and all that is regal, royal and sometimes cutthroat. This show is an elegant masterpiece and a storytelling jewel, but there isn't a whole lot of action occurring. Historical fiction buffs will adore it, action movie nuts, perhaps not.
The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt
Kimmy is definitely unbreakable, and pretty freaking hilarious too. She goes from fifteen years of cult living to New York City life, and that is one heck of a zany transition for viewers to watch. This is one of those shows that requires very little thought and attention, so put it for a brain respite.
Homeland
Homeland, starring Clair Danes, is intense and kind of dark, so if that is something intriguing, then, by all means, check this out. Follow a troubled CIA agent search for balance and bad guys in this series that will have viewers sitting on the very edge of their couch each week.
The Handmaid's Tale
The Handmaid's Tale won't leave anyone with a warm fuzzy feeling after watching the horrors that the people of Gilead press upon the Marthas, the Handmaids, and those poor colony slaves. This is a shocking, dark series that paints a haunting picture of a life less than pleasant. It's a thriller for sure.
Empire
A music mogul, his three sons, and his ambitious ex-wife are all bent on becoming the biggest, and best thing in the hip-hop world and nothing will stop them from getting to the top. Who has what it takes to rule the Empire? There is only enough room at the top of this game for one person.
Modern Family
The cast of Modern Family is such a talented group of comedic actors, it's almost uncanny. These talented writers and actors work together to make a show that is relatable in every way to families these days. Sometimes a good laugh at the end of the day is all that is needed. Am I right?
Scandal
Shonda Rhimes is the mastermind behind Scandal, which stars Kerry Washington. It's a political thriller that won't ever leave viewers bored, that's for sure. Washington's character runs a crisis management firm, and we all know that when it comes to politics, there is always some sort of crisis in need of managing.
Orange Is The New Black
Nothing is off the table for the ladies of Litchfield Prison. Is this a jail or a sorority house? Sometimes we have to wonder. The plot lines in this popular Netflix series are unique and itneresting and every week viewers tune in to see what crazy antics these eccentric prisoners will be up to.
Stranger Things
Lovers of the 1980's and sci-fi fans go gaga over Stranger Things. The show has a pretty wild concept, but it sure is entertaining to watch. Us old folks also appreciate the trip back in time, to the decade of our youth. Is this show too strange for your TV taste?
Glow
Glow is raunchy, quirky and downright hilarious. If it's serious television drama that tickles your fancy, skip this series. The wonderful world of ladies scripted wrestling draws viewers in with a fabulous acting cast and keeps them coming back each week with fun plot lines and character development sequences.
Casual
This Hulu show follows dysfunction siblings, Alex and Val, as well as Val's teenage daughter, as they wade through life as best they can. California dreaming meets the stark reality of unfairness and the curve balls of life in this subtle and offbeat comedy. Does this sound like a winner or a major fail?
The Chi
Life in inner city Chicago can be gritty, raw and ruthless and this drama paints a compelling picture of what people in the Chi experience on the daily. This drama leaves nothing to the imagination in its heartbreaking portrayals of inner city life, love, and loss. Take your happy pills before viewing.
Westworld
This science fiction thriller is not for the faint of heart nor for those viewers who tend to only half tune into a show. This is one that viewers must pay attention to, or they will find themselves lost in a world that they truly do not understand. Once viewers get what is happening here, it's impossible to stop watching it.
Mad Men
Transport yourself back time where men ruled all, smoking was cool, and women used what they had to get ahead in life. The high powered exes on Mad Men make us females of today genuinely thankful that we aren't working in their offices back in the 1950's. We will say that Don Draper is smoking hot, though. So there's that.
