It helps to know that there are superheroes out there, watching the world's cities from the tops of skyscrapers, making sure everything goes alright and no one gets hurt. Sure, most if not all of these superheroes are fictional and non-existent in the real world, but let's put that trivial fact aside for now.
Superheroes are great, for sure. However, without a worthy supervillain to challenge them, they wouldn't have much of a reason to exist (or not exist). In a similar vein, when global audiences flock in to movie theaters in mass numbers to watch on-screen clashes between superheroes and supervillains, there wouldn't be much of a spectacle to witness without the opposition.
Although supervillains ultimately need to be stopped, we can't help but think that a lot of them are cool, and quite fun to watch. In fact, they're so fun to watch, many of us might have even slipped some ways into the dark side ourselves, overflowing with nefarious inspiration, dreaming of a life as a super original supervillain.
Maybe that's not the case for most people, but still - everyone has their favorite antagonists. A bunch of well-known baddies are loitering down below, awaiting a rating.
Will these ratings play into their master plan? Only time will tell, but probably not.

No one knows what Loki is about to do next, which plays a big part in why everyone loves and fears him. Here he is bursting forward from his yellow cloud, ready for war. What do you think of this classic Marvel villain?
Give Thanos a rating
Thanos showed the world exactly what he's capable of in Avengers: Infinity War. If you saw that, then the impression is probably still fresh in the mind - how can it not be? Thanos is one of the most diabolical villains ever, for sure.

It takes a villain and a half to give Hulk a run for his money, and that's exactly what Abomination is. A product of his own mutation, he hit Hulk with everything he had, though it ultimately wasn't enough. Still, here's a pretty good villain.

While most villains are formidable and intimidating in their own right, most of them don't tend to have any extra dimensional influence. Well, Dormammu has a bunch of that and a whole lot more, making him an insane villain.

The combined might of the X-Men is never enough to dissuade Magneto from trying to change the world to suit his vision. Of course, having his overwhelming power, we can see exactly why that is. What do you think of this mutant?

When Batman has Poison Ivy as his adversary, he needs to use every tool in his arsenal in order to come out on top. Even at that, you can never really tell what this botanical witch will do. This is an interesting villain, right?

Red Skull's name is quite fitting, and we can all see exactly why. As horrifying as this villain looks, his potential devastation output is even greater. In fact, he just might take over the world if we make him mad here.

We all got to see just how scary Apocalypse is in the X-Men movie named after him. When a villain can essentially turn his foes to dust with a mere thought, he's pretty scary. What's the best rating here?
Give Lizard a rating
All Lizard really wanted was to regrow his old arm, but that initial, modest goal quickly grew to a big, tyrannical one. Any hero facing up against this foe definitely has their work cut out for them. Rate this villain.
Give Bane a rating
Bane is the infamous supervillain who broke Batman's back in The Dark Knight Rises, proving that the Dark Knight can indeed do things other than rise. Since he broke Bats, he can probably defeat a slew of other heroes, too.

In Greek mythology, Ares is famously known as the god of war. In the DC universe, he plays essentially the same role, except this time there are formidable heroes for him to face up against. Rate this villain.

Throughout the duration of Watchmen, Ozymandias seems only to be a marginal character. However, as the movie progresses toward its conclusion, you see what the genius had planned all along - disaster.

Whiplash didn't see much time on the big screen, but he only had to show his whips for a minute or two for audiences to note how much business he means. Here he is now, and we all know he's about to do something bad. What rating does this villain deserve?

Lex Luthor is back in town, this time in the coveted Jesse Eisenberg edition. Regardless of what you think about Mr. Eisenberg's performance and applicability to the role, you can't help but respect a villain who takes Superman on time and time again.

In Green Lantern, Hector Hammond didn't really start off as a galactic level threat, but he certainly ended up that way. Thankfully, Mr. Hal Jordan was right around the corner to give him what for. Is this villain cool?
