Romantic comedies always have the best endings. While some other movies might end in tragedy where the two main characters never get together for one reason or another, if you head out to see a rom-com, you can usually expect them to wind up together. The road to their happily ever after might be wacky and silly, but it'll happen. Real life isn't always like that, so it can be a lot of fun watching it happen in the movie if you're a fan of rom-coms.

Despite not being popular in high school, Ted almost went on a date to prom with the most popular girl in school, Mary. 27 Dresses
Everyone has heard the phrase "always a bridesmaid, never a bride," right? Katherine Heigl's character Jane in this 2008 movie knows that cliche all too well. She's in love with her boss (who falls for her sister instead of her) and she's incapable of saying no to her friends, which has lead her to being a bridesmaid in their weddings 27 times. That's a lot of dresses! A cynical writer helps her through her feelings about potentially adding a 28th dress to her collection at her sister's wedding.
This Means War
Having two guys fight over the same girl in a movie isn't exactly unique to this 2012 movie. But the fact that both of those guys happen to be best friends and CIA agents? Now that's a twist! This movie features Reese Witherspoon as Laura, a woman who is being pursued by two CIA agents played by Tom Hardy and Chris Pine who are each trying to sabotage each other's attempts to win her over. Going back to your hometown over the holidays can be pretty weird. Seeing people that you once had a crush on, talking to distant family members, and running into former friends can make the season pretty awkward. 50 First Dates
First dates can either be incredibly awkward or amazing. Unfortunately for Adam Sandler's character in this 2004 rom-com, he has to go on the same first date over and over and over. He goes on a first date with a woman named Lucy, played by Drew Barrymore, and is excited when things go really well. But unfortunately, she doesn't remember who he is the next day. Yikes! How many stars does this repetitive romance deserve?
Crazy, Stupid, Love.
Steve Carrell and Julianne Moore star in this movie as a married couple who seem to have a perfect life... Almost. That all changes when Emily, played by Julianne Moore, asks her husband Cal, played by Steven Carrell, for a divorce. After this, Cal decides to change his image up and turns to Jacob, played by Ryan Gosling, to teach him to be hip and deal with being single again. How many stars would you give this movie?
What a Girl Wants
In most movies, a parent disapproving of a relationship means that the main teen character's parents don't approve of the person they're dating. But in this 2003 movie starring Amanda Bynes, that's not quite the case. Her estranged father's parents (and his career as a politician!) were not approving of her mother. A Cinderella Story
This classic fairytale retelling stayed fairly true to the original story of Cinderella... With a major twist. Instead of meeting at the ball at midnight and leaving her shoe on the steps, the Cinderella in this story met her prince charming online. They strike up a relationship over emails back and forth, but they've never met and don't know who the other really is, but they meet up at their school dance. She drops her phone as she's trying to run back home before she's caught out and he has to try to track her down.
