Rate These Netflix Original Series For An Upcoming Show To Binge

It’s amazing that in the twenty years since Netflix was founded, it is not only one of the most popular online streaming services available, but its own brand of web shows are doing so well that they’ve been nominated for the Grammys which has never happened before in the history of television. So because of the recent success of Netflix as a streaming service and web show producer, we have rival streaming services such as Hulu and Amazon. Even the big networks like HBO and CBS are jumping on the bandwagon with their equivalents to online streaming.
Although the success of these services is in large part due to the shows themselves, which have had bigger budgets behind them in terms of adapting best-selling novels and comic-books or original properties that have just the right amount of ingredients for a successful show. As a result, they rival the production level of an average movie these days making them both visually appealing and easier to get hooked into as television shows can be watched over long periods of time in contrast to movies which are one-time experiences. And because Netflix is doing so well, there are some new shows coming out, so come rate the current Original series that are on right now for a recommendation on which show to look out for!
House of Cards
With its final eighth season scheduled to come out sometime this year, this show was one of the first successful Netflix Original series which focused on an ambitious congressman and his wife who plot and scheme their way into the White House.
Daredevil
Following an accident that happened when he was a child, Matt Murdock has been blind. But despite this, he’s become a successful lawyer. Yet every night, he patrols the crime-ridden neighborhood of Hell’s Kitchen in New York City as the vigilante Daredevil.
Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt
After being rescued from a doomsday cult in Durnsville, Indiana, 29 year-old Kimmy Schmidt moves to New York City to start things over with a more positive mental attitude as she meets both new friends and acquaintances on arrival.
Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp
A prequel to the popular comedy film which parodied '80s romance films, this eight-episode mini-series features most of the original cast who play younger versions of themselves as well as some new actors and a few guest appearances.
BoJack Horseman

Richie Rich (2015)
Based on a popular comic-book series which got adapted into a cartoon and several live-action movies, this version of the eponymous character becomes rich after discovering a clean energy source made from vegetables while still living with his average family.
Club of Crows
Translated from Club de Cuervos, this Spanish-language show focuses on a soccer team located in the fictional town of Nuevo Toledo, Mexico whose management is shaken following the passing of its owner. So his son Chava is chosen as the successor though Chava’s half-sister tries to undermine him.
Sugar Rush
Like many competition cooking shows on the Food Network, this one in particular features four teams of bakers that have to make an assigned recipe (usually desserts) under a short amount of time for the chance to win 10,000 dollars.
Bill Nye Saves the World
After twenty years of absence, our favorite celebrity scientist Bill Nye returned for a new show on Netflix which not only addresses modern discoveries that have been made but also discusses important issues currently affecting our world such as global warming.
Orange Is the New Black
Based on a memoir of the same name, this all-female drama focuses on a woman sentenced to fifteen months in a federal prison for transporting substance money for her smuggler girlfriend who winds up in the prison as well.
Jessica Jones
A retired superhero who was brainwashed by a man that could control minds, Jessica Jones now runs a detective agency solving crimes related to super-powered individuals like herself in New York City while also confronting her own personal demons.
Grace and Frankie
When their husbands come out of the closet and decide to get married, Grace Hanson and Frances "Frankie" Bergstein are forced to live together despite not particularly liking one another but overtime they become close friends as they overcome various struggles.
Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life
Continuing the saga of the Gilmore family, this mini-series shows the struggles of Rory as a freelance journalist while her mother Lorelei is coping with her father’s recent passing as well as her steady but stale relationship with Luke Danes.
Castlevania
Based on the classic action horror video-games, this animated series focuses on the conflict between the Belmont clan of vampire hunters and Count Dracula, the most powerful vampire in the world who seeks to destroy humanity out of revenge.
Greenhouse Academy

Once a famous child star from the '80s who had her own TV show and music group called Turminha Plimplom, the titular protagonist of this Brazilian-produced show gets herself into all kinds of schemes to continue staying in the spotlight.

A group of people from different parts of the world suddenly become mentally and emotionally linked, though they have no idea why. Later, they find out the person who made this possible is part of a special group of humans called Sensates and they’re being hunted down by another member.
Luke Cage
A spinoff of Jessica Jones, this show focuses on Carl Lucas (now known as Luke Cage) who was a former convict accused of a crime he didn’t commit. But after a failed experiment gave him superpowers, he escaped and returned to fight crime in Harlem.
Fuller House
A sequel to Full House, this show revolves around D.J. Tanner (now married and having changed her last name to Fuller) having to raise her three sons after her husband’s unexpected passing with help from her sister Stephanie and best friend Kimmy.
Neo Yokio
Set in an alternate version of New York City called Neo Yokio, this Netflix Original anime-style series focuses on Kaz Kaan, one of the many wealthy Magistocrats in town who has to balance his rich lifestyle with slaying demons.
Stranger Things
Set during the mid-'80s, this critically acclaimed show focuses on the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana where a child disappears and his friends begin their own investigation into his disappearance while being aided by a mysterious girl with psychic abilities.
Iron Fist
Following a fifteen year absence, the heir to a major company named Danny Rand returns to New York City to claim his inheritance from his father’s business partner (who runs the company now) after acquiring a secret martial arts technique called the Iron Fist.
Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Return
A follow-up to the cult-hit show, this sequel/reboot of MST3K follows a Gizmonic Institute employee named Jonah Heston who’s brought onboard the Satellite of Love against his will by the daughter of Clayton Forrester and forced to watch bad movies with the robots Crow and Tom Servo.
DEVILMAN crybaby
Based on the classic manga series Devilman, this Netflix-produced anime tells the story of Akira Fudo who learns from his friend Ryo Asuka that demons are planning to take over the world and decides to merge with a demon to battle them as the titular Devilman.
Alexa & Katie
As they eagerly can’t wait to start high school together, best friends Alexa and Katie find themselves confronting a major crisis when Alexa is diagnosed with cancer. As a result, she’s forced to undergo treatment while she and Katie navigate high school.
A Series of Unfortunate Events
While the Jim Carrey movie didn’t do the classic book series justice, this Netflix Original show does as it chronicles the orphaned siblings Violet Klaus and Sunny as they evade their evil uncle Count Olaf from taking their family fortune.

Voltron: Legendary Defender
A reboot of the popular Voltron franchise, this web series made by the same studio that created The Legend of Korra tells the story of five Earth pilots who are thrust into a galactic battle by piloting five mech lions that form the giant robot Voltron.
Altered Carbon
Set in the futuristic version of San Francisco, a person’s memories can easily be transferred between bodies though only the rich have access to this technology. When the memory of a deceased rebel mercenary is recovered, he’s given a new body and the task of solving a rich man’s homicide.
The Magic School Bus Rides Again
Continuing from the original show, the eccentric science teacher Miss Valerie Frizzle decides to retire and passes her position onto her sister Fiona along with the titular Magic School Bus. With it, the class embark on new adventures with Fiona at the wheel.
Lost in Space (2018)
