Movies are the best. They’re pure escapism. They exist so that the viewer can get away from the real world for a while and disappear into the glitzy world that appears up on the silver screen, populated with movie stars and iconic characters and shootouts and car chases and fist fights and helicopters and lasers and spaceships and zombies. There are many exciting movies coming up in the next few months on the release schedule. There’s Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again, the long awaited sequel to the sleeper hit ABBA musical starring Amanda Seyfried and Meryl Streep. There’s Mission: Impossible – Fallout, the sixth movie in the spy action franchise featuring Tom Cruise in a variety of nail biting, breakneck stunts. Jason Statham will fight a gigantic great white shark (like, seriously gigantic – it’s like 75 feet long) in The Meg. The Slender Man character is finally getting the big screen treatment in the aptly titled horror flick Slender Man. Kevin Hart has written a movie for himself called Night School in which he’ll star alongside Tiffany Haddish. Plus, the MCU is back with Ant-Man and the Wasp, the Predator franchise is getting a reboot, and the monsters return in Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation.
