Rate These MCU Villains And We'll Reveal Which One You're Most Like

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is the series of films that are based on the comic books that were written years ago by Stan Lee (with a little help from other writers). These comic books were a past time for generations of kids and adults, but now have been developed into a saga of films that people are drooling over! The MCU began in 2008 with the production of the first Marvel film, which was Iron Man. After this was produced, Marvel was acquired by Disney, which produced another 22 films, for 23 total in the saga. The 23 movies come together in what is called the Infinity Saga, which focuses on one main villain who is working in the back of each movie, to accomplish his goal.

The Infinity Saga is coming to an end this summer with the release of Spider-Man: Far From Home. This will be the wrap up to a set of movies that people have been total diehard fans over.

Because there are so many films in the series, and the series is about superheroes, there have to be some bad guys. Each film would be boring if there wasn't a villain the heroes were going up against. This quiz displays many of these villains, which will be rated. At the end, we will reveal which of the most popular villains you are the most like! Good luck!

Question 1

Ronan:

Ronan is a villain that is present during the Infinity Saga portion of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He is in charge of The Kree, who are the group of aliens that Carol Danvers goes against during Captain Marvel. The Guardians of the Galaxy have also had a run in with Ronan. He was after an orb, which held an infinity stone. Peter Quill, and his band of misfits, teams up to ensure Ronan did not get his hands on the orb.

Question 2

Ego:

Ego is the villain that is featured in Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2. He is a god-like creature, that has an immense amount of power and control. He is housed in a planet, that is peaceful, and he is the only one living there, besides Mantis. Years ago, he was living on Earth with Peter Quill's mother. Some issues happened, and he could no longer stay with her or their son. He finally was able to reunite with Peter, but for selfish reasons that Peter must do everything to avoid.

Question 3

Killmonger:

Killmonger is the main villain from the film Black Panther. When he was living in Oakland, his father was taken back to Wakanda where he lost his life for betraying the country. Killmonger believes he is the rightful heir to the throne after T'Chaka loses his life. Killmonger teams up with Ulysses Klaue to steal Vibranium, the strongest substance on Earth. After the job is finished, he gets rid of Ulysses and heads to Wakanda to take the throne and be the king.

Question 4

Loki:

Loki is from the planet Asgard, and is the brother of Thor. He is the adopted son of Odin. He finds out that he is not related to them in the first Thor movie. Loki has always had negative intentions, and he usually does what he wants. He is the primary villain in the first Avengers film. He has a scepter, that has one of the infinity stones within it. It is the source of his powers, he can also shapeshift and appear in places he is not present.

Question 5

Hela:

Hela is the oldest child of Odin, from Asgard. She was his right-hand person, until she started to develop intense powers and wanted control. She wanted to control more than the nine realms, she wanted to control all of them. Hela was unknown to Thor and Loki until their father was close to losing his life. Hela attacked her two brothers, and took control of Asgard. They got some help, and fought against her to protect their people, even though the planet perished.

Question 6

Red Skull:

Johann Schmidt is the former head of the HYDRA group that infiltrated SHIELD. This man wanted to be the most superior man, and he actually tested a version of the Super Soldier Serum before it was perfect. This serum transformed him into Red Skull. He got his hands on the Tesseract, and wanted to take back control of the world. He was challenged by Captain America. Red Skull was sent to Vormir, to be the Stonekeeper in a sort of purgatory. He met Thanos when he was looking for the Soul Stone.

Question 7

Justin Hammer:

Justin Hammer is the old CEO of Hammer Industries. He formed a strong rivalry against Tony Stark, and Stark Industries. After being ignored during a meeting with Tony, Hammer wanted to hurt the public's view of Tony. This went wrong, and Hammer lost a lot of his own reputation in the process. Because he was angry about failing, he recruited Whiplash, to try and create his own Arc Reactor. All of this failed in the end, and Hammer landed himself inside of Seagate.

Question 8

Ultron:

Ultron is the primary antagonist in the second Avengers film. Tony Stark and Bruce Banner worked together to try and work on an Artificial Intelligence program to keep the peace. They used the code from the Mind Stone that was held within Loki's Scepter. Once the Artificial Intelligence gained enough power, it took over J.A.R.V.I.S. and left the Avengers without an intelligence. Ultron created a form, and got some help from Petro and Wanda to fight against the Avengers. His goal was to wipe out all of humanity, but he failed.

Question 9

Ulysses Klaue:

Ulysses Klaue was a black market arms dealer. He was an international criminal. In 1992, he teamed up with N'Jobu to steal a large quantity of vibranium from Wakanda in 1992. He managed to escape, but the Wakandans gave him a brand on his neck. In 2015, he met Ultron. Ultron forced Klaue to sell him all of the vibranium he had left. The two got into a fight, and Klaue lost his arm. Then to get more, he teamed up with Killmonger to steal it, but Killmonger was te one who took his life after a betrayal.

Question 10

Ebony Maw:

Ebony Maw is one of the members of the Black Order, which is the group of Children of Thanos. He has the power of telekinesis. He has been deeply loyal to Thanos throughout the films. Ebony warned anyone he met about the power that Thanos would have after retrieving the infinity stones. He was instructed to get the Time Stone, for which he captured Doctor Strange. He forced him to give up the stone. He lost his life when Iron Man rescued Doctor Strange.

Question 11

Yellowjacket:

Yellowjacket is the character name of Darren Cross. He was the mentee of Hank Pym, who pushed him out as CEO of Pym Technologies. He rebranded it as Cross Technologies for himself. Darren was obsessed with Pym's creation of the Pym Particles. Darren worked to recreate his own version of the particles, to sell them. He planned to sell them to the groups HYDRA and Ten Rings. When he perfected his suit and technology, he called himself the Yellowjacket. He was driven mad by the failure, and tried to take the lives of anyone who got in his way.

Question 12

Thanos:

This villain is one of the primarily antagonists throughout the entire Infinity Saga portion of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Thanos has one goal in mind, to retrieve every infinity stone, and put them on a gauntlet he had created. With one snap of his fingers, he is capable of destroying the universe. Thanos wants to wipe out half of the entire population, he thinks that this will lead to peace across the entire universe. The Avengers must go head to head with Thanos several times to protect the universe.

Question 13

Ghost:

Ghost is the villain from Ant-Man and the Wasp. She is the daughter of Elihas and Catherine Starr, and is able to make herself intangible, and create a lot of power after a quantum accident. Her parents lost their lives in the accident, and she gained this ability which has led to a life of pain. She found out she was slowly losing her life while in the care of Bill Foster, and planned to pull Janet van Dyne out of the quantum realm to take save her own life.

Question 14

Sonny Burch:

Sonny Burch was involved in black market, illegal technology. He had ties in the FBI. He was contacted by Hank Pym and Hope van Dyne, who needed details to create a Quantum Tunnel. When he learned about who Hope and Hank were, he decided to steal their Mobile Laboratory that was full of expensive quantum technology. During his run for the lab, he was confronted not only by Ant-Man, but by Ghost, and X-Con Security Consultants. After the chase, he was arrested.

Question 15

Surtur:

Surtur was the ruler of Muspelheim, which is one of the Nine Realms. He rules Fire Demons and Fire Dragons. Surtur was defeated by Odin, who stole the Eternal Flame, the source of his power. When Odin was weak, Surtur planned to start Ragnarok, the doomsday of Asgard. Thor defeated him before this could occur. Even though he was defeated, Thor and Loki decided to resurrect Surtur, to actually complete Ragnarok and end Asgard to eliminate Hela and stop her plan.

Question 16

Iron Monger:

Iron Monger is the title behind Obadiah Stane. He was the business partner of Tony Stark, and was a good friend of his father, Howard Stark. After Howard passed away, Obadiah became the temporary CEO of Stark Industries. Tony took over soon after. Obadiah was extremely jealous of this, and he decided to team up with the Ten Rings to try and take his life. When this failed, he built Iron Monger armor, to attempt to take his life once again, this failed and Obadiah lost his life in the process.

Question 17

Whiplash:

Ivan Antonovich Vanko, also known as Whiplash, was a physicist from Russia. He is the son of Anton Vanko, who was a scientist. Ivan's father lost his life because of Howard Stark, and he planned to get revenge by going after Tony Stark. Ivan created an Arc Reactor, and designed an armor that was similar to Iron Man. Whiplash attacked Iron Man a few times, and continued to try and take his life. He was defeated by Iron Man and War Machine, and he took his own life to avoid punishment.

Question 18

Aldrich Killian:

Aldrich Killian was the founder and the CEO of Advanced Idea Mechanics. He had recruited Tony Stark to join in his research, but he refused. Killian then worked with a group to develop Extremis, to create super humans to work under his command. He had hired someone, whom they called 'The Mandarin,' to pretend to be a villain against the country. Killian planned to take control of the US, and manipulate things for profits. He went too far and took Pepper and Matthew Ellis, then Tony reacted, and defeated his plans.

Question 19

Malekith:

Malekith was the villainous leader of the Dark Elves. Their group is believed to be older than the whole universe itself. He was born in a realm of darkness. He led his people into a war against Asgard, using the Aether. Malekith and the elves were believed gone for thousands of years, but they were just in hiding. They came out during the Convergence, to take the Aether back and use it to pull the universe back into an eternal darkness. He failed while battling Thor, and lost his life.

Question 20

The Vulture:

The Vulture is the main villain the Spider-Man: Homecoming. His name is Adrian Toomes, and was the former owner of a salvage company in New York. His company was chosen to clean up the city after the first Avengers incident. Then, he was pushed out by Tony Stark and the federal government. Adrian was annoyed, and left with some of the technology himself. His group continued to steal the technology, and develop armory with it to sell on the black market. He was defeated by Spider-Man, but he was sent to jail.

Question 21

Mysterio:

Mysterio, also known as Quentin Beck. He used to be a special effects artist working in films. Because he had a ton of experience in illusions, Mysterio planned to be an effective supervillain. In the comics, he was one of the most persistent and elusive enemies of Spider-Man. Mysterio is going to make his premiere in Spider-Man: Far From Home this summer. In the previews, he has made an alliance with SHIELD and Spider-Man. It's unknown if he will end up being the villain in the film, but as for the comics, he is a huge villain.

Question 22

Alexander Pierce:

Alexander Pierce was one of the leaders of HYDRA. He was working as an undercover operative inside of the US Government, SHIELD, and the World Security Council. He was the person in charge of the HYDRA forces that existed within SHIELD. He planned to create the Project Insight, that would have given HYDRA complete control of the world. Alexander's plan was stopped by the group including Captain America, Black Widow, Falcon, Maria Hill, and Nick Fury. He lost his life after the battle, to Nick Fury.

Question 23

Zemo:

Helmut Zemo is a citizen from Sokovia. He became villainous after he lost his family in the Battle of Sokovia. He grew to be obsessed with defeating the Avengers, and eliminating them. He planned to have them go after each other, instead of combatting them himself. He framed the Winter Soldier for the assassination of T'Chaka, which led to Captain America defending his close friend. Iron Man went on a hunt looking for the Winter Soldier. This pegged the Avengers against each other, and they fought in a huge battle. But, Zemo was caught, and given to Everett Ross to be punished.

Question 24

The Kree:

The Kree are a race of aliens that are featured in quite a few of the Marvel Cinematic Universe films. The Kree were being controlled by Ronan. Marvell was one of their people, that travelled to earth to do research on super speed space travel. After she discovered the technology, she found out that The Kree are villainous. She planned to break the technology, but Carol Danvers absorbed its power. She was caught and her memories were altered, and became a Kree soldier. She learns the truth, and must do what is right for the universe.

Question 25

Dormammu:

Dormammu is a inter-dimensional entity, that has supernatural powers. His powers are so strong they could lead to the next apocalypse. He teamed up with Kaecilius, to try and eliminate the Masters of the Mystic Arts. He wanted to bring the Dark Dimension to Earth. Before Dormammu could complete the plans, Doctor Strange confronted him. He used the Eye of Agamotto, which would trap Dormammu into and endless time loop. Dormammu surrendered to Doctor Strange, took Kaecilius, and left Earth.

Question 26

The Abomination:

The Abomination, also known as Emil Blonsky, is a former special-ops commando. He worked with the group trying to capture Bruce Banner after he was introduced to Gamma Rays. Blonsky was injected with a replicated version of the Super Soldier Serum, and then was later transfused with Banner's gamma-irradiated fluid. He transformed into the Abomination, who is the size of the Hulk. He went on a rampage of New York City, but was defeated by the Hulk, and was captured by Agent Ross.

Question 27

Nebula:

Nebula was originally a member of the Black Order, as one of Thanos' adopted children. She longed to be praised by her father as Gamora was. Nebula did anything she could to get approval from her father, but nothing seemed good enough. After Gamora betrayed him, it seemed that Nebula would be favorite, but she wasn't. Eventually, after years of doing villainous things for Thanos, she decided to pair up with her sister and prevent him from collecting all of the infinity stones.

Question 28

The Winter Soldier:

The Winter Soldier is the name that was given to Bucky Barnes. He was frozen at the same time that Steve Rogers was frozen, to be brought back decades later. He was injected with Super Soldier Serum, and trained to obey whoever was giving him commands. His latest job, was to defeat Captain America. Bucky and Steve were best friends as children, and Steve remembered him immediately. It took some time, but Bucky began to remember him too. The Winter Soldier ends up turning to the good side to work alongside his long time best friend.

Question 29

General Ross:

Thaddeus Ross is a former Lieutenant General. He was in charge of the Bio-Tech Force Enhancement Project, whose goal was to recreate the Super Soldier Serum. Because of an accident during the experiment, Bruce Banner was introduced to tremendous amounts of Gamma Radiation, that transformed him into The Hulk. Ross worked to get Banner captured, but then Emil Blonsky, one of his subordinates, was transformed into the Abomination. Ross had to work with Hulk, which he was completely against, to defeat the Abomination and save the city.

Question 30

Scarlet Witch:

Wanda, also known as the Scarlet Witch, is half of a pair of twins (the other being Pietro), from Sokovia. She was part of the HYDRA organization to 'clean up' Sokovia. As a result, she received superpowers. She has telekinesis, telepathy, and energy manipulation abilities. After HYDRA fell, her and her brother joined up with Ultron to get their revenge on Tony Stark. His technology eliminated their home and family. She realized the truth behind Ultron and his intentions, and teamed up with the Avengers instead, for several films.

Question 31

Executioner:

The Executioner, formerly known as Skurge, was an Asgardian Warrior. He became the guardian of the Bifrost Bridge by Loki. Skurge was demoted after it was revealed that Odin was not ruling the land, but it was Loki instead. Hela recruited him when she arrived at Asgard to be her personal Executioner. He struggles with this position, because he does not want to hurt the people he was teamed up with before. He fought against her in the end, to help protect the people of Asgard, it made him a hero.

Question 32

Laufey:

Laufey was the king of the Frost Giants of Jotunheim. He was the true biological father of Loki, something Loki finds out about during the first Thor film. Laufey planned to go to war with Asgard for a second time, but Loki came to him with a plan for taking the life of Odin, the King of Asgard. Loki ended up betraying Laufey in the end. Loki took the life of Laufey, and tried to take out the entire race of the Frost Giants.

Question 33

Kaecilius:

Kaecilius is a sorcerer. He was a former member of the Masters of the Mystic Arts. He became disillusioned with the Ancient One, after he decided she was not allowing other dimensions to come to Earth. He thought he could reunite himself with his wife and son, who lost their lives. He created the Zealots, with the intent of defeating the Ancient One, and bringing Dormammu to Earth. He was challenged by Doctor Strange, and was ultimately defeated. After, he was sentenced to immortality in the Dark Dimension.

Question 34

Yon-Rogg:

Yon-Rogg is a commander for the Kree Empire. He is also in charge of the Starforce. He is completely loyal to the Supreme Intelligence and the Kree Ideologies. He went to Earth to take the life of Mar-Vell, and take the Tesseract energy core that she was creating. He took Vers, who absorbed the core's energy. During the Kree-Skrull War, he lost Vers when she found out about her true origins. He was supposed to capture her, but he failed and was sent back to the Kree Empire with a warning from Vers.

Question 35

The Mandarin:

The Mandarin is a powerful, and influential man that was the leader of the Ten Rings, an organization that seeks to control the planet. Many people were scared of the videos that would be broadcasted on television, that showed the Mandarin doing villainous things, or talking about his plans. During the film, the Mandarin was located by Iron Man. He arrived, and found out that the Mandarin figure shown in many videos, was actually a hired actor, for Aldrich Killian's own agenda.

Cornell "Cottonmouth" Stokes

Cornell Bertram Stokes, also known as Cottonmouth, was the owner of Harlem's Paradise. He was the leader of the Stokes Crime Family. His lifestyle started to come undone after a sale went wrong. He tracked down all of the people who were responsible for his demise, including Luke Cage. Cage put the entire Stokes' organization at risk, with the threat of Diamondback taking over while Stokes lost all of his money. He tries his best to keep control, but he aggravated Mariah Dillard, who took over the empire and took his life.

Question 37

Killgrave:

Killgrave Thompson was experimented on by his parents as a child, who sought to heal his neurodegenerative disease. The treatment ended up giving him the ability to control people's minds. He picked up the name Killgrave, and started to use his abilities for his own selfish reasons. He developed a negative nature, and soon became obsessed with Jessica Jones. He fell in love with her, but she was trying to overcome him. He wanted to take her life, after she got him arrested. He continues to manipulate her, but she is stronger than he is.

Question 38

Kingpin:

Wilson Grant Fisk, also known as Kingpin, is a businessman who plans to control the crime waves in New York City, He was arrested after planning the destruction of Hell's Kitchen, and sought out to eliminate the crime competition in New York. He helped the Punisher escape, to make him his man on the outside. Fisk also wanted to reveal Matt Murdock as Daredevil. After Daredevil and Poindexter, another enemy of his, fought, they learned FIsk had manipulated them both. They had him sent back to jail.

Question 39

Venom:

While Venom is a 2018 film, it is not technically part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Venom is one of the villains of Spider-Man from the comics, and it is unsure whether the two will cross paths in the MCU, but he still deserves to be on this list for his history. Eddie Brock, or Venom, became the host of an alien symbiote. This gives him superhuman abilities. The two bodies are working together, but Brock does not have too much control over Venom.

Question 40

Ayesha:

Ayesha is the Golden High Princess of the Sovereign. She was brought into a fight with the Guardians of the Galaxy. Rocket Racoon stole high tech batteries from her people. She was unable to get rid of the Guardians herself, and ended up hiring Yondu Udonta to complete the task. She was betrayed, and then tried again to fight the Guardians while they were dealing with their conflict with Ego. She failed again, and she finally teams up with Adam Warlock, to get her revenge on the Guardians.
