Rate These Epic Bikes And We'll Pick Your Motorcycle Club

Much like the airplane and the automobile, the motorcycle was invented roughly during the Victorian era. Following a series of inventions, two German engineers named Heinrich and Wilhelm Hildebrand teamed up with an inventor named Alois Wolfmüller to create the first production motorcycle dubbed the Hildebrand & Wolfmüller in 1894. From then on, motorcycles went into commercial use with production spiking in World War I. They not only proved to be a more effective means of transportation due to their intense speed and maneuverability, but also more dangerous to ride due to the lack of safety measures when it came to the road.

Therefore, those who did ride motorcycles were seen in the eyes of the public as rebels. This image grew with the popularity of films like The Wild One in 1953 starring a younger Marlon Brando as the leader of a motorcycle gang that impedes upon a sleepy town and the 1969 movie Easy Rider starring Dennis Hopper and Peter Fonda as two rebels who travel cross-country on motorcycles that are stuffed with wads of money. There was also the rise in motorcycle rallies and clubs with some being official while others were criminal in origin. So come pick the best rides to be given a recommendation for an official motorcycle club to join!
