There are about a million different reasons for us to love Disney as much as we do. Growing up, we all latched on to our favorite movies and characters, as they had the power to bring us to far away places full of adventure and fun. If this reason was not already magical enough, we also have the amazing catalogue of songs Disney has created to really sell us on their brand. The songs are not only super catchy, but they are meaningful and sometimes very educational as well. The songs are all so good in fact, that it is actually quite difficult to sit down and try to pick out our favorites...

In this quiz, we are going to do our best to get to the bottom of which Disney songs are truly the most magical. We will be taking everyone's opinions on 50 of the most popular songs Disney ever gifted us with. Once everyone has expressed how they feel about each of these tunes, we will be able to match everyone to their perfect animated sidekick. Question 1

Let It Go

Here we have what was probably the biggest song out of the movie frozen. After Elsa finally decides to let her powers run free, she sends the entire kingdom into a deep freeze. Of course she is off exploring her abilities in a winter wonderland, so she does not realize the shivery state she has left all of her subjects in. This is also how Princess Anna begins her adventure across the land to try and find her sister. Was this one a hit?

Question 2

Circle of Life

This one was the opening number for the movie The Lion King. As Rafiki presents baby Simba to the rest of the animals, this song plays out. It is a moving scene, where all of the different kinds of animals living in Pride Rock come together to witness the beauty that is their new prince. The song was not actually sung by any characters like the rest of the popular tunes from this film, but it was instead played as background music.

Question 3

How Far I'll Go

This song was pretty much Moana's theme throughout the entire film. She first sings it while she is still on the island, debating whether or not she should actually try sailing past the reef. Motivated by her song, Moana attempts it. However, she does not make it very far before her ship capsizes. After the incident, Moana returns to land. She meets with her grandmother one final time, before deciding to give it another go. This song sails her away once again.

Colors of the Wind

Pocahontas understood nature better than any of us do today. When John Smith and the rest of his crew first arrived, Pocahontas's people were ready to send them packing. However, it was Pocahontas who thought there may be way to explain to these strange men how important the land they were tearing apart actually was. She sang this song to John Smith, to paint him a picture of the beautiful world he and his friends were trying to sell for profit.

So This is Love

Cinderella always knew there was a better life waiting for her somewhere. Even in her darkest of days, she never lost hope that someone out there would one day love her. So when she attended the prince's ball, and danced her first dance with her Prince Charming, this song naturally filled her head. It remained in her head every day after that first dance, and if we were to guess, she is probably still out there singing it today! Who loved this one?

The Bare Necessities

This song was how Baloo introduced young Mowgli to his new life with him in the jungle. Previously, Mowgli had been surviving with a pack of wolves, but after sometime he was forced to leave the pack. Thankfully, Baloo and Bagheera were around to scoop him up, and bring him into their circle. This song was fun and instructive. In it, Baloo explained that everything one needs to survive is right there in the jungle with them! Loved it or not so much?

Friend Like Me

After Aladdin freed Genie from his lamp, he was a little reluctant to believe all of the incredible stories Genie was telling. How could anyone possibly have the power to grant 3 wishes? Genie decided to use this song as a way to prove to Aladdin just how powerful he was. Not only did he demonstrate his abilities during this musical number, but he also used the opportunity to explain some of the rules that went along with making wishes.

I Just Can't Wait to Be King

When Simba was a young cub, he used to love the idea of one day becoming King of Pride Rock. He would watch his father perform kingly duties, and he truly admired what he saw. Zazu was Simba's babysitter. A prince like Simba felt as though he did not need a babysitter. So this song did not only express Simba's excitement over getting to be king one day, but it also worked as a distraction for Simba to escape the watchful eyes of Zazu.

One Jump Ahead

Before there was Genie, Jasmine, or even Magic Carpet for that matter, all Aladdin had was Abu. The two of them did not have a penny to their names, but they managed to get by. They were excellent thieves, and they were even better escape artists. After Aladdin was caught stealing some food, he sang this song as he out ran the officers who were after him. Needless to say, Aladdin and Abu made it out alright. Who loved this number?

Reflection

Here we have the most memorable number out of the film Mulan. While the movie was chock full of amazing musical numbers, this is the one that really stood out in people's minds after watching. After Mulan did her best to be the daughter her family wanted her to be, she was left feeling like a different person. She did not recognize the face she saw in her reflection, and she knew it was time for her to be the person she wanted to be.

Go the Distance

Hercules did not exactly have it easy as a kid. As hard as he tried to do good, his extreme strength always ended up getting in the way. Once he became old enough to head out on his own, he knew he had to take the opportunity to find a place where he would finally fit in. He sang this song as he set off on his journey of self-discovery. He promised himself and all those he loved, that he would find a way to become the hero he always knew he was meant to be.

Beauty and the Beast

Here we have a song of true romance. After Belle and Beast made it through their initial rough patch, they actually really started to enjoy each other's company. They would play outside, read books from the library, and they would even eat their meals together. After one of these meals, they decided to share a dance. Mrs. Potts along with some of her fellow dish buddies, sang this song as Belle and Beast danced their way through the ballroom. Is this one a classic?

I See the Light

Rapunzel was born and raised in a tall tower, away from everything and everyone. The only contact she had was with her "mother" and her tiny chameleon friend Pascal. Every year on her birthday, Rapunzel would see the sky light up with lanterns from her tower's window. She never knew why these lanterns were being set free every year, but she knew she wanted to witness them being released one day. This dream of hers was the motivation she needed to eventually escape her tower.

Gaston

Let's take a look at a villainous number for this question. Gaston was the main bad guy of Beauty and the Beast. He had no magic powers, or abilities to curse those around him, he was simply jus strong. Because he was the strongest and most handsome man around, everyone in their town believed him to be the most eligible bachelor. Everyone except Belle that is. After Belle rejected Gaston, his friends sang this song in his honor, as a way to lift his spirits.

Try Everything

Here we have another song that was not sung by any characters, but was instead played like a kind of theme song for the film. Zootopia was about a young bunny who dreamed of leaving her family's carrot farm, to begin a new life out in the big city. Our young bunny listened to this song while on the bus to the city. It was all the motivation she needed to get to where she had always wanted to be. Was this one a favorite of anyone's?

This song was sang by the mesmerizing Princess Aurora. As she played with her animal friends in the forest, she began to sing this song. It was about the price she had been dreaming about every night. She dreamed that somewhere out there existed a prince who was just as eager to meet her as she was to meet him. Of course as she sang this number, she had no idea that the handsome Prince Philip was listening the whole time...

After Anna and Elsa lost their parents, Elsa locked herself away from the world. While she did this as a way to protect others, it also lead poor Anna to spend the majority of her childhood alone. Anna would spend her days dreaming of the world outside of her castle, where everyone was free to roam as they pleased. On the day of Elsa's coronation, Anna could feel magic in the air. For the first time in forever, the castle doors would open, and she would get to see new faces!

Ursula was known as the "Sea Witch". With a reputation like that, one would think that young Ariel would have know better than to go looking for her. Once Ursula became aware that she had something to offer Ariel, she knew she could use this to her advantage. She used this song as a way to persuade Ariel into thinking she only used her magic for good. Obviously this was not at all the case, but Ariel was so desperate that she let Ursula convince her anyway.

Sven and Kristoff had the kind of relationship most people could never fathom. Kristoff was a human and Sven a reindeer, but this didn't matter. They always understood each other perfectly. Kristoff would actually sing duets by both of them from time to time. He sang this song to Sven as a type of lullaby, and it included verses from himself and from Sven. It was not a very long song, but it was quite adorable. What did everyone here think?

This song was a very peaceful one. After Alice arrived in wonderland, she came across the musical flowers that were planted all over the place. They sang this song with her. It was about the beautiful kinds of flowers, the way they would sway in the wind, and the peace of mind they could bring if we would just take the time to appreciate them during the golden hours of the afternoon. It may not be as popular as some of the others, but was this a favorite of anyone's here?

Considering Pinocchio was at one point in time just a wooden puppet, we have to assume that becoming a real boy was pretty exciting for him. During his first live performance, Pinocchio sang this song. It was about the freedom of having no string attached to him. Of course he was not exactly free, since he was being forced to perform, but his limbs were all his to control. How did everyone here feel about this classic number? A favorite or not so much?

Mother Gothel was the witch that stole baby Rapunzel away from her crib. She raised the baby, and had her completely convinced that she was her actual mother. As Rapunzel grew older, her desire to leave her tower intensified. Mother Gothel knew she could not allow this to happen, so she sang this song as a way to scare Rapunzel out of her dreams of exploring the real world. For a villains song, this one was particularly wicked. How did we feel about it?

Mine, Mine, Mine

Governor Ratcliffe was the man in charge of the ship that was sent to mine Pocahontas's land for gold. Even after Pocahontas was able to convince John Smith that they had been wrong to assume they owned the land, Governor Ratcliffe continued to call for action against the natives. All he was concerned about was money and power. He never thought once about the people or creatures he was bring harm upon. This song was his anthem in the film.

Ev'rybody Wants to Be a Cat

Thomas O'Malley was the coolest cat around town. When he first met Duchess and her three kittens, he was not so into the idea of helping them find their way back home. Thomas could not imagine why any cat would choose to be owned by a human in the first place. In an attempt to show Duchess and her litter what they were missing, he brought them by a jazz club where a bunch of alley cats were performing this number.

Heigh-Ho

Now here is a real classic. Snow White was the very first Disney film to make it to the big screens, so this song is often one we associate with old school Disney. The dwarfs in Snow White were miners. They loved their job and they took great pride in the jewels they were unearthing. This was the song they would collectively sing as they worked and as they marched back home after a long day. Who here is a big fan of this one?

Oogie Boogie's Song

It is a little hard to call the Oogie Boogie Man a bad guy. Afterall, he lived in Halloweentown, a place where it was totally acceptable to be the monster that he was born to be. However, in a movie where the main guy is torn between the spooky jack o'lanterns of Halloween and the shiny lights of Christmas, it is easy to see the Oogie Boogie Man as the villain. This song was how he introduced himself to us in the film, and it truthfully was quite catchy. What does everyone here think?

Belle and Beast had gotten off to a rocky start to say the least. Originally he had been holding her father captive, and it wasn't until Belle decided to trade her own freedom for his, that he let the old man go. If that was not already a tough place to start from, Belle was now technically his prisoner. Over time however, these two began to see the best in each other. They sang this song to express their surprise and delight at their changing feelings.

Imagine being raised by a family of rock trolls? Kristoff was lucky enough to have actually lived through this reality. The rock trolls took him in when he was a young boy, and they were truly so proud of the man he grew up to be. So naturally when he arrived back home toting a girl along with him, they jumped at the chance to meet their future daughter in law. They clearly did not realize that these two were not exactly romantically involved...

Belle

This one was the opening number for Beauty and the Beast. Belle pranced around her small provincial town, and went about her morning as she normally would have. She stopped in for some fresh bread, said hello to all she passed, and of course picked up a new book to read. While Belle sat and read her book, the other townspeople discussed just how strange they thought this girl was. They were unable to understand why a girl so beautiful would choose to spend her time reading...

A Whole New World

At this point in the film, Aladdin was not being very honest with Princess Jasmine. Never in a million years did he think he would be getting the chance to take the princess out on a date, so he did not want to spoil the opportunity by telling the truth about who he actually was. He decided instead to distract her with the most magical experience he could think of. A magic carpet ride through the sky. The two sang this song as the dipped and dived through the clouds above.

I Won't Say (I'm in Love)

Meg was the leading lady of the film Hercules. When she first met Hercules, she was pretending to be a damsel in distress. Normally Meg would have been tough enough to protect herself, but at this point in time she was working for the wicked Hades. Even though she was against the notion, she could not help but feel something for Hercules. This song was how she convinced herself that what she was feeling was true. How do we feel about this love song?

Under the Sea

Sebastian had been asked by King Triton to keep an eye on his youngest daughter Ariel. He knew she had a habit of swimming to the surface to watch the humans go about their lives. Wanting to ensure she stopped doing this, Sebastian was put in charge of keeping her under water at all times. This job was harder than he initially thought it would be, so Sebastian sang this song in hopes that it would convince Ariel that life under the sea was way better than life on land.

Scar had been jealous of his brother his entire life. Mufasa had been born first, and he was also way bigger and stronger than Scar was. Obviously all of these things meant that Mufasa got to be king, while Scar was left to fend for himself. Letting jealousy get the best of him, Scar devised a plan to take the throne for himself. He knew he would not be able to do this alone, so he used this song to persuade the hyenas into helping him.

Here is a song that would certainly be hard for any Disney fans to forget. After Scar convinced young Simba to run away, Timon and Pumbaa were the ones to find him. Initially they were worried about befriending a predator as fierce as a lion, but they ultimately decided it couldn't hurt to have muscle like that on their side. They taught him their way of life by singing this song. Simba took to the "no worry" lifestyle as though he was always meant to live life this way.

After Mulan realized that her family would never accept her for who she was, she decided to run away to fight in the army. She disguised herself as a man, since women were not permitted to be soldiers. To get themselves through the tough days and nights, they all dreamed of a pretty woman back home waiting to attend to their battle wounds.

Her dreams were so close, that she could actually taste them!

Impressed by Hercule's strength, Phil eventually gave in and agreed to help him out. This is the song he sang as he began training Herc. By the end of the tune, Hercules was the hero we all know him as today.

As the song played, everyone gathered around to watch Esmeralda dance. More than one character fell for her during this initial scene.
