If there's one thing that DC never seems to run out of, it's awesome female characters. Some of the most iconic female superheroes (and supervillains, for that matter) of all time are from the DC franchise. Their impressive lineup includes Catwoman, Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy, Wonder Woman, Supergirl, Hawkgirl, Batgirl, Black Canary, Zatanna, and countless others.
In 1952, Phyllis Coates played Lois Lane in the television series Adventures of Superman. The Adventures of Superman was the first live-action television series based on a DC comic, but it certainly wasn't the last. In the 1960s Batman television series, Yvonne Craig portrayed Barbara Gordon aka Batgirl, while Julie Newmar and Eartha Kitt split the role of Selina Kyle aka Catwoman. Lynda Carter became the first DC female superhero to have aher own live-action television show in 1975 when she portrayed Diana Prince, aka Wonder Woman, the titular character of the show.
Today, there are a lot more female characters to choose from in the DC live-action universe, especially since we have television shows like Arrow, Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow, and The Flash and the films from the DC Extended Universe like Suicide Squad (2016), Wonder Woman (2017), and Justice League (2017) that all feature a plethora of beautiful ladies!

East German actress Antje Traue joined the DC family when she played Faora in the 2013 Superman film, Man of Steel. Other notable English-language roles include Bony Lizzie in Seventh Son, Marina Rinskaya in Despite the Falling Snow, and Elsa Mueller in Criminal, which starred fellow DC lady Gal Gadot.

Israeli actress and model Gal Gadot joined the DC family when she was cast as Princess Diana of Themyscira, better known as Wonder Woman or by her civilian name, Diana Prince, in the 2017 feature film, Wonder Woman. Her role was also featured in Justice League, another 2017 DC film.

American actress Juliana Harkavy joined the DC family when she joined The CW's television series Arrow as Dinah Drake, better known as Black Canary. Her other notable roles include Jessie in the 2012 film To Write Love On Her Arms and Alisha in AMC's television series The Walking Dead.
What do you think about Karen Fukuhara?
American actress Karen Fukuhara joined the DC family when she portrayed Tatsu Yamashiro, also known as Katana, in the 2016 film Suicide Squad. That film was her first big screen debut, but she has since been in the 2017 film Stray, and she is currently voicing Sewer Queen and Alexis in Craig of the Creek on Cartoon Network.

American actress Katie Cassidy joined the DC family when she was cast as Laurel Lance, also known as Black Canary, in The CW's television series Arrow. Irish actress Katie McGrath joined the DC family when she was cast as Lena Luthor in the television series Supergirl. Lena is the half-sister of the infamous Lex Luthor, but she is best friends with Kara Danvers, the extraterrestrial cousin of Clark Kent (A.K.A. Superman) and the titular character of the show.

Maisie Richardson-Sellers joined the DC family when she was given the role of Amaya Jiwe, also known as Vixen, in The CW's television series Legends of Tomorrow. Her role as Vixen was originally filled by actress Megalyn Echikunwoke, whose character was named Mari McCabe, but she wound up with it after Megalyn had scheduling conflicts.

American actress Melissa Benoist joined the DC family when she was cast as the titular character, Kara Danvers, in the CBS-CW television series Supergirl. She has also been featured in The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, and Arrow. Otherwise, Melissa is known for her role as Marley Rose in seasons 4 and 5 of Glee, and various movies, including Whiplash and The Longest Ride.

American actress Michelle Pfeiffer joined the DC family when she portrayed Selina Kyle, better known as Catwoman, in the 1992 Tim Burton film Batman Returns. She redefined the role of Catwoman and is credited with having influenced the way the character is portrayed in comics and movies to this day.

Australian actress Margot Robbie joined the DC family when she was cast as Harleen Quinzel, better known as Harley Quinn, in the 2016 film Suicide Squad. This was Harley Quinn's first real live-action portrayal, since her only previous on-screen appearances were in the short-lived television series Birds of Prey in 2002, and a single episode in the second season of Arrow.

Iranian-American actress Tala Ashrafi, better known by her professional name Tala Ashe, joined the DC family when she was cast as Zari Tomaz in the CW television series Legends of Tomorrow. Outside of Legends of Tomorrow, most of her work has been in stage productions, although she has had recurring roles on shows such as Smash, As the World Turns, and American Odyssey.
What do you think about Tao Okamoto?
Japanese actress Tao Okamoto, better known by her professional name, Tao, joined the DC family when she played Mercy Graves in the 2016 film Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Prior to Batman v Superman, she portrayed Mariko Yashida, the female lead in the 2013 Hugh Jackman film, The Wolverine.

American actress Uma Thurman joined the DC family when she portrayed Dr. Pamela Isley, better known as Poison Ivy, in the 1997 film Batman & Robin. The film was rather controversial, with critics claiming it to be the worst film of all time. However, Uma's career recovered beautifully, with her most notable credits including Quentin Tarantino's Pulp Fiction and Kill Bill.
