Rate These Blockbusters and We'll Give Everyone A Superpower

What is a blockbuster? What exactly makes a movie a blockbuster?

Well originally the word "blockbuster" was used to describe something very different, but eventually the meaning became positively associated with popular movies. A really great movie could have people lined up around the block waiting to see it!

The very first film to be called a blockbuster was the 1975 summer hit Jaws, which remained in the number one spot for 14 weeks and became the first movie to ever gross more than $100 million.

Today a blockbuster is considered a Hollywood movie with a large budget and a star-packed cast with plenty of good marketing that gets the public excited about the movie and lining up to buy tickets on opening night. These are movies that are usually projected to do very well and become popular.

But just because a movie has a huge budget and good marketing it doesn't mean that it will be amazing - that's up to the individual to decide for themselves.

Today we want our readers to give us their opinions on these blockbuster movies. Tell us whether these titles were the best, average or if they just plain sucked, despite all the hype surrounding them. Rate these movies and at the end, we'll give everyone a superpower!
