Rate These Action Movies And We'll Guess Your Favorite Sports Car

I know it seems weird right? To just go on about action movies, rating which ones are personal favorites and which ones are just no good all in order to see what one's favorite sports car is. Well, I assure everyone that the possible sports cars to be favorited here are no slouches (or is there a sporty Prius in there somewhere?).

There is something about action movies and sports cars that just go very well together. I mean...it makes sense. Just think about it. The Fast And The Furious, Gone In 60 Seconds, Bullitt, Need For Speed...there are all sorts of action films out there that revolve heavily around really pretty cars. And I think that there is a good reason for that.

Who does not want to take a ride in a sports car and put the pedal down? I mean, if it's got the power...why not use? Right? Like Thanos in Infinity War. He's got the power. He's going to use it. Think of the infinity gauntlet as a Bugatti Chiron, with the speed cap taken off...and that is why these action movies and sports go so well together. So start rating and see what each quiz-taker will drive out of here with!

Question 1

Thoughts On Wonder Woman?

Oh, now Wonder Woman is one of those interesting comic book movies, for sure. It really is not often that there is a woman who is the sole action-packed star of a film. At least not in the comic book realm. It is also pretty remarkable that DC actually put out a good superhero movie for a change as well. That is something that does not happen too often. They are being continually schooled by the Marvel Cinematic Universe, for sure.

Question 2

Thouhts On The Meg?

Ok, before I say anything else about this film I really do have to say that I think The Meg was a surprisingly good movie. It didn't take itself too seriously but when it did, it was done in a great way. It was touching, hilarious, creepy and sad. It was a wonderful surprise when going to see the film for nothing more than a joke in the cinema. I like when that happens. And let's be honest. Jason Statham and a giant shark? I'm in.

Question 3

Thoughts On The Matrix Revolutions?

Matrix Revolutions was probably the least successful and least in terms of quality when it comes to the Matrix movies. I mean, the second was probably ultimately less successful, but people were already losing hope before this one came out. It took the incredible philosophy of the very first film and then turned it fairly heavily toward religion, which really didn't sit well with a lot of people. The philosophical nature of this action film doesn't need religious status to be awesome.

Question 4

Thoughts On The Force Awakens?

This was probably one of the more interesting of the Star Wars and certainly a better film than any of the previous prequel trilogy films. That is just a fact that is not really up for debate. I won't say that this film didn't also have it's own issues though. I mean, how many times do we need to see a giant space station that is the size of a moon (or a planet) that can just take out other planets and systems for kicks? It's just the same story over and again.

Question 5

Thoughts On The Expendables 2?

Sure, I could talk about the other Expendables films but I think that this one is pretty fun for almost no other reason than bringing Jean Claude Van Damme into the fray. There is something about that guy and his physical abilities (even if he's not a great actor) that just really works for a lot of people and seeing him as a villain really made the movie for a lot of people. Also, everyone knows that sequels tend to ramp up the action and that is not different in this film.

Question 6

Thoughts On The Dark Knight Rises?

The Dark Knight Rises is the final installment of the Nolan Batman films and it is certainly one of the more interesting films for sure. I mean, Batman actually just gets to go and enjoy his life for a while (after breaking his back and after dealing with Bane, but still). Of course, he has to go through a lot to get to that point but I don't believe for a second that Gotham is suddenly good to go on its own at the end of this movie.

Question 7

Thoughts On The Matrix?

The original Matrix film is probably the best of the whole series. Including the Animatrix film. There is something about just how groundbreaking it was as both a story and a piece of cinematography. The whole bullet time system that was used to film the slow-mo parts of fights was just awesome (and super expensive) and the the philosophy behind the whole thing is just so deep and well constructed. That being said, there are a lot of people who missed out on that part.

Question 8

Thoughts On Rampage?

I'll be honest right away here and say that I have not yet seen Rampage but I do know that this is all pretty much based on a game where one can play as a series of monsters who gets points for causing more building and things to fall down and/or explode. However, this whole film is about The Rock's giant pet ape who is set against all of this other giant monsters who just show up for a romp in a city.

Question 9

Thoughts On RoboCop (1987)?

The original RoboCop is just something to behold. If people have not ever seen this movie or do not really recall much of it I challenge them to go back and watch. It is something else, that is for sure. Even just the first ten minutes is full if nutty moments. All I have to say is...keep in mind that RoboCop never really wanted to become RoboCop. That was never a thing that crossed his mind...until one day while fighting crime. Anyway, What do we think of this 80s classic?

Question 10

Thoughts On RoboCop (2014)?

Well, here's the thing. I'm not sure quite how I feel about most remakes. I mean, would it not be best if someone just came up with a whole new idea for a film rather than bringing back something that barely worked in the 80s? Sure, people loved RoboCop but I think it was really only something that could truly work in the time it originally came out. I don't think there was much hope for it these days.

Question 11

Thoughts On Solo: A Star Wars Story?

Cards on the table right away here, I have not yet seen this movie. I have not been able to convince myself that I really need to see anything more about that smug smuggler who thinks he's God's gift to the universe. I know some people just love him but I have never been a big fan. I was happy with the outcome of The Force Awakens. I don't know if I need to go back and learn more about him. I think Harrison Ford did a good enough job showing us all we needed to know.

Question 12

Thoughts On The Dark Knight?

This was probably the best of the entire Nolan series of the Batman movies. I mean, Heath Ledger's Joker was just amazing. He actually scared a lot of people with it. Of course, that also led to some pretty unfortunate happenings in real life as well but he did do an amazing job in this film. Even with Christian Bale constantly grating his voice like coarse sandpaper on the roughest wood in the world. And let's not forget about Two Face!

Question 13

Thoughts On Skyfall?

This might be the best of the best when it comes to all of the films that Daniel Craig did for James Bond. I will not go on record saying that this is the best of the James Bond films overall though. There are so many to choose from and literally so many Bonds to choose from as well. I do really enjoy Golden Eye, as well as The Man With The Golden Gun! There are some pretty silly ones out there. And while Casino Royale was great, this movie may have topped it.

Question 14

Thoughts On Spider-Man: Homecoming?

Here is the thing about Spider-Man...he has gone through some pretty troubled times in the past couple of decades. I mean, much as I used to love the old cartoons and much as I loved reading the comics, once Spider-Man hit the big screen I really was not sure that I was ok with it. I mean Kirsten Dunst was an alright enough Mary Jane but how many people honestly loved Tobey Maguire through that whole series? And then Andrew Garfield...and now this guy!?

Question 15

Thoughts On Need For Speed?

This has got to be one of the best car action movies out there right now. I know, I know. A lot of people will say that The Fast And The Furious series has the best in terms of car movie action but I personally think that they are overdone and too much. This movie was a one-off and it even featured Jesse Pinkman...I mean Aaron Paul, from Breaking Bad. And cars in it...mmm, the cars are so nice in this movie. Especially that Shelby.

Question 16

Thoughts On Iron Man?

The original Iron Man movie really changed a lot of things for the film industry. I am not just throwing that out there. Think about it. This was pretty well the very first installment of what became the Marvel Cinematic Universe and it was also a huge success. DC has got nothing on even the very first film of the MCU collection. That is saying something, for sure. And since Iron Man, there has been such an incredible influx of superhero movies, it's ridiculous!

Question 17

Thoughts On Mad Max: Fury Road?

Alright, I know that there are people out there who really do not like remakes. And that is fair. I know a few remakes that I really do not like as well. But there is something about Fury Road that is not so much a remake as it is a reimagining of the world of Mad Max. And with the added ability to have computer generated graphics, this movie is just nutty in comparison to any of the older Mad Max films. And the only other thing I have to say is rockin' guitar and flames!

Question 18

Thoughts On The Avengers?

The Avengers was a whole new deal when it first came out as part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. There is something about having a solid group of superheroes who had already got their own successful movies before that that was sort of unheard of. I mean...DC certainly never got away with anything like that. And even once they did put out Justice League finally, it definitely did not see the same success as this colossus. I mean...Hulk, Iron Man, Thor, Black Widow...all together!?

Question 19

Thoughts On Léon: The Professional?

This is a film that has been obscured to some extent. I know a few people who really know and love this movie and then I know way more people who do not even know what I am talking about when I mention it. I mean, this has the amazing Natalie Portman in it...but she was no older than 12 when she did the film. It was pretty nutty and there she is with gun in hand following around this hitman she falls in love with. Very strange.

Question 20

Thoughts On Iron Man 2?

Iron Man 2 is something to behold. I am not sure what I really think about Mickey Rourke with his lightning arms and all that business but it does at least offer up some sort of challenge for Stark. And then to have that incredible automated army to battle with...that was pretty cool. It just gave us a much deeper look into the life of a superhero and how not everything is always funny. Stark is sarcastic but we get the beginnings of what is a fallen man in the third installment...literally.

Question 21

Thoughts On The Age Of Ultron?

The Age Of Ultron is one of those movies that I really did enjoy because I thought that Ultron was a really cool villain, but at the same time I was actually pretty annoyed by this film. I mean, the Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver are two of the coolest characters and they are technically the children of the great Magneto (who for ridiculous contractual reasons could not be in the Avengers movies). And then they take the fastest guy and somehow have him take a bullet. Don't think so.

Question 22

Thoughts On Jurassic World?

This movie really did bring the Jurassic Park series into the modern movie era. There was something about the graphics on this one that were far better and more engaging than Jurassic Park III. Of course, that was not exactly the best of the original series anyway so that is hardly a generous comparison by any means. Either way though, new dinos, new gadgets...and raptors that can be trained...? It's certainly an interesting adventure movie packed with a lot of dino action for people of all ages!

Question 23

Thoughts On Rogue One: A Star Wars Story?

Rogue One is up there on the list of my favorite Star Wars movies. I think it might actually be my favorite. I know that might sound like a very nutty thing to say but there is really only one other film that stands in the way of this being my favorite Star Wars movie out there right now. And that is The Empire Strikes Back. But, that being said, Rogue One has the benefit of amazing graphics, a solid story, great actors, and it's not just about Han showing off!

Question 24

Thoughts On Dr. Strange?

I have to be totally honest right here when I say that I think Dr. Strange may just be one of the very best of the Marvel Cinematic Universe installments and I think it is incredibly underrated. I mean the powers that this guy has and the story of how he got to be a doctor and then how he became a wizard...basically! It is an awesome story and when he joins the ranks of The Avengers, I have to say it makes their team instantly way cooler than anyone could have hoped.

Question 25

Thoughts On The Justice League?

I'll admit something right here and now. I am actually not a huge DC fan, nor have I seen The Justice League at all. I do want to see it but I have to catch up on some of the other DC superhero movies before I even consider it. So there is a bit of an issue. That being said, it is a movie with Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, and Aquaman...so it's got to be somewhat good, right? I know a lot of people poke fun at Aquaman but...well he's played by Khal Drogo now. I wouldn't make fun.

Question 26

Thoughts On John Wick?

John Wick has got to be one of my favorite action movies and one of my very favorite Keanu Reeves movies. Sure, he's done action before. People just have to go back to The Matrix to see that. But this movie is perfect for Reeves. He hardly has any dialogue but he still gets to show off some expression and he gets to really show off his physical ability in terms of martial arts. It is a stunning and sad and very entertaining film. That is for sure.

Question 27

Thoughts On Venom?

I have heard nothing but pretty bad things about this movie which is too bad because it has some pretty decent actors in it. But I guess great actors can't always get great roles. Regardless, many fans still feel that Venom is one of those Spider-Man characters who should probably stay in the cartoons and comics because bringing him to life just raises too many expectations.

Question 28

Thoughts On Winter Soldier

This was one of Cap's films and while he was the technical star of the movie as well, Bucky definitely stole the show from Cap. I mean, even just in terms of how their character mesh, Bucky is just way cooler as the Winter Soldier than Cap is on a regular day. I mean...at least Bucky isn't the same boring "I'm going to save the world and only ever do what's right" sort of way. There is something really cool that I think people cling to with this robot-armed dude who is pretty much silent the whole film.

Question 29

Thoughts On Guardians Of The Galaxy?

This is definitely an interesting film, for sure. There was something about this that allowed the other superhero films after it to poke even more fun at themselves. I mean, almost the entirety of Guardians of the Galaxy, save for Star Lord's flashback about his mom, is pretty hilarious and action-packed. There is all sorts of great and sarcastic humor. I mean...Rocket Racoon is just the best of all the characters. Thank you Bradley Cooper!

Question 30

Thoughts On Ip Man?

Wow. This movie is just unreal. There is something about it that really is gripping. I think it has a lot to do about the fact that it is pretty heavily based on a true story. I mean, this guy was a master martial artist who taught a very interesting style of combat . And he has to use that in order to protect himself and his family and even in order to support himself and his family. This is the man who taught the famous Bruce Lee! So...it's worth the watch.

Question 31

Thoughts On Infinity War?

Infinity War is probably the best Avengers movie to come out yet. I mean, this is after Civil War so even though there are still some rifts about just what to do here, everyone knows that they have to work together in order to take on Thanos and his infinity gauntlet. Of course, once the gauntlet reaches full power there is literally nothing anyone can do in that moment because he can just think people out of existence! This is a must see action movie for sure.

Question 32

Thoughts On Indiana Jones?

Alright, I realize that I did not specify which Indiana Jones movie here and there is a reason for that. I want everyone to consider their thoughts on the Indiana Jones franchise as a whole. There is something about Harrison Ford in this role that is both iconic and a bit too much, I think. Especially if people here saw Crystal Skull...that was something else, for sure. At any rate, this question is all about what people think about the series over all. Is it worthwhile?

Question 33

Thoughts On Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2?

Now, here is the thing on this one. I have not yet seen the second installment of Guardians of the Galaxy but I have heard a very interesting mix of reviews. I will see it, don't worry. I mean, I can't avoid going out of my way to see a tiny Groot with his awesome friend Rocket Racoon. I actually don't really care all that much about the other characters, I'll be totally honest. Rocket is my man! Or...my racoon at least.

Question 34

Thoughts On Face/Off?

This is a very strange movie indeed. I mean, just picture waking up and having either the face of Nicolas Cage! I really never want to picture that happening to me ever. And just for the sake of it, let's even think further into this and imagine waking up with John Travolta's face! No thanks. I don't think it would quite work for me. Maybe I'd get more work though, but then people would think I'm a member of Scientology and I'm not into that, for sure.

Question 35

Thoughts On Civil War?

The Avengers have had a few chances to really make a go of things when it comes to saving the world. In this film though, instead of helping each other to save the world, they just fight each other about the right way to go about saving the world which seems like it might be a bit of a waste of time, especially since Thanos is out there slowly getting his hands on the infinity stones so he can just cull the living on Earth however he so chooses. And that is pretty creepy and unsettling.

Question 36

Thoughts On Casino Royale?

Casino Royale is probably one of the better James Bond films out there. I know there are some people who think that Daniel Craig really is too much of a rough and tumble sort of guy when it comes to playing the role of Bond but I think that has ultimately made the character a bit more realistic and enjoyable. So, that being said, this question is not designed for me to go on about Bond. It's for everyone here to say what they think about Casino Royale.

Question 37

Thoughts On Black Panther?

I was actually surprised at just how well Black Panther was done. There is something about that ridiculous kingdom that he is from that made me think it might be too corny, but it was actually done fairly well and was received fairly well also. I love the tribal aspect of how people crown a new Black Panther and how they can choose to challenge for the mantle as well. Really interesting and very different from all the other superhero films thus far.

Question 38

Thoughts On Batman Begins?

Batman Begins was the start of the Nolan series starring Christian Bale. It was not bad by any means but it certainly was not the best in the series. Even though it did have Liam Neeson in it and he is definitely up there in the list of favorite actors I have stashed away somewhere. I sort of like that they show the makings of Batman as the martial artist that he is and how he learned to go from angst-ridden child to intense vigilante.

Question 39

Thoughts On Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes?

While the first installment of this rebooted Planet of the Apes series was a lot more focused on the science behind what ends up being a rather nutty science experiment gone way wrong and less focused on any sort of action, this second installment in the series is packed with all kinds of action. Don't get me wrong, the first film did have its share but there were not full-scale battles like we have in this one. Sequels always ramp up the action.

Question 40

Thoughts On Iron Man 3?

Iron Man 3 is probably not the best of the three films but it is certain still interesting. By this point in time, Stark is unsure about where he stands in life. The Avengers has already happened so he's been to New York and saved the world from aliens, and he's had his battle with the drink and then suddenly...he's just not Iron Man for a while. But a little boy helps him to save the world again and he is back in the saddle. It is very interesting to see how he deals with his mind though.
