Rate These Movies Of The Last 10 Years And We'll Reveal Your Movie IQ!

Sure, taste in movies is a subjective thing, but let's be honest, we all know a masterpiece when we see one and a stinker when we see one...except that one friend of yours. They have no idea what's good or bad. If you don't have that friend, have you ever considered you could be the one with horrible taste?

We're not trying to say that every Academy Award nominated film is amazing and every superhero movie is trash. Actually, quite the opposite. We think that a "good" movies has to be both artistic, satisfying and make money. Quite a few of those movies we'd hardly heard of on Oscar night didn't seem to be either satisfying or successful.

Let's figure out if you're the one with the bad taste in movies or if you can spot a winner from a loser. We're not going to go back 50 years and we'll try to keep the obscure titles to a minimum. This should be fairly straightforward. Just tell us if a movie was great or horrible and we'll let you know at the end if you've got great taste in movies...or if you're the one people don't leave the important decisions to on movie night anymore.

Baby Driver

One of the more stylish movies of 2017 and probably the last time you're going to see Kevin Spacey in a major film role for a very, very long time. Noted for its driving and violence sequences choreographed to music, did that make the movie awesome, or just cover up that it was a clunker?

Over the last dozen years there are always a few movies every year that are based on a television show from the 1970s or 1980s, usually subtly poking fun at the original. The A-Team got this treatment several years ago. Did this result in greatness or not?

It's one thing to make a movie based on a TV show or cartoon, but to make it on a simple mobile game? It seemed impossible, but Angry Birds proved it could be done. The film made a lot of money, but does that necessarily mean it was a good movie?

American Hustle is one of the 12,000 movies Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence have made together in the last decade, but seems to be forgotten over Silver Linings Playbook. Is that a crime because it was a great film or is better that this movie stay forgotten?

Just because a movie gets a sequel doesn't mean the original was good. It just means the original made a ton of money, as Guardians of the Galaxy certainly did that. Was this Marvel superhero movie one that you told your friends was great or horrible after seeing it?

We found the poster for Beautiful Creatures intriguing because it hints that it could be so many different things. That probably makes it a poster that did it's job, but once you're in the theater, a poster goes just so far. Did the film deliver on the poster's promise?

There are movies that only work in a very specific spot in time because they are so loaded with references to technology that given a year or two, everything is outdated. Unfriended is one such movie. It really let you know what the kids were using for apps in 2015, but will that hold up in 2025? Does it effect if the movie is good or not?

Apparently this was based on a play written by somebody a long time ago. In reality, it's hard to think of anything that has been as done as many times as Romeo & Juliet and we have a feeling we'll see it a million more times. Some are great and some leave a lot lacking. Jennifer Lawrence appears on this list for the last time in yet another role where she plays a woman who ends up down on her luck and pulls herself up by the boot strings to make something of herself. The only real difference is that this time her name is Joy. Still, if you like Lawrence, this is the kind of movie you love her for.
