Every great sitcom or cartoon features a memorable family that give the main characters a backstory. They made us laugh, they made us cringe, then even made us cry. Television parents set the scene for us to understand why a character behaves the way they do! Writers must spend attention when writing these characters, and casting is key as well. "Television's scripted family dynamics aren't always realistic, but there are definitely lessons to be learned from the parents in our favorite TV families. We all love Jim and Pam Halpert from The Office. Everyone was rooting for them to end up together from the very start! Julia and Joel Graham go through their own struggles as a couple but they never let that affect them when it comes to raising their kids. They even end up adopting a son.
Lily Van Der Woodsen?
Lily Van Der Woodsen was the single mother of Serena and Eric Van Der Woodsen for a while before she got remarried. She tried her best to be a good mom to them during the first few seasons of Gossip Girl even though she sometimes made mistakes and slipped up every now and then. Walter and Skyler White?

Rufus Humphrey is the single father of Dan and Jenny Humphrey from a show called Gossip Girl. Gossip girl is considered a teen drama and it is very dramatic! The family dynamic between Rufus and his two children is a little off because he treats his kids so differently based on their genders. He is very lax with Dan but overly strict and harsh with Jenny. His parenting style leads Jenny down a path of rebellion and eventually moving away.

Olivia and Andrew Baker are the parents of Hannah Baker from a popular Netflix show called Thirteen Reasons Why. The show got high ratings but it also got a lot of bad reviews and negative feedback so it might not be able to return for a third season. If the show does return, it will show a lot more of this couple as they struggle to get past the loss of their daughter. This show had a lot of deep messages.
Hiram and Hermione Lodge?
Hiram and Hermione Lodge are the parents of Veronica Lodge from a show called Riverdale that sort of mimics and mocks the style of Pretty Little Liars and Gossip Girl with how dark it is. Riverdale is a show that is based on comic books from back in the day that is actually very lighthearted and easy to read The characters share names with the comic book members but aside from that, there are not many similarities. Eric and Tami Taylor?

Sometimes they are able to reconnect and see each other but it is very rare.
Frankie and Mike Heck?

They love their kids even though they do not always agree with their kids' choices in the game of life.
Jane Villanueva?
Jane Villanueva is an awesome mommy to a little boy who she did not expect to have! AT the young age of 23, she got pregnant after a medical accident occurred and she decided to keep the baby, even though the pregnancy was not intentional! The premise of this TV show is super sweet and since she is such a great mother, it makes the show so much more enjoyable. Jane is an awesome mom and watching her learn and grow is amazing!
Spongebuck and Margaret Squarepants?
Spongebuck and Margaret Squarepants are the parents of Spongebob Squarepants and every once in a while, they visit! They love to come around and spend time with their son! Frank and Sue Murphy?
Frank and Sue Murphy are the parents of three kids from an animated Netflix original TV show called F is for Family. The show revolves around their struggles within their marriage and their struggles to be the best parents they can. Their oldest son is kind of a troublemaker for them to deal with, their younger son is very emotional, and their little girl needs constant attention and validation all of the time. They are good parents for the most part!
Jerry and Theresa Russo?
Jerry and Theresa Russo are the parents of three kids from Wizards of Waverly Place! The best part of this TV show is the fact that the mom is played by Drew Barrymore who has been in such a long list of epic and amazing movies and TV shows. She was even part of Charlies Angels and Charlies Angels: Full Throttle. Santa Clarita Diet can be very visually graphic but it's a great show with great parenting!
