Watching television has been a favorite pastime since the invention of the TV, and today, there are endless options when it comes to what to watch. In recent years, there has been a rise of reality television, as viewers love soaking in real-life drama and adventure.
There are several types of reality TV shows, too. There are competitive ones that show real people battling it out for some sort of prize, such as "Survivor", "American Idol" and "Project Runway". Within that category, there are also several cooking-related competitions, like 'Top Chef", "Food Network Stars", "Chopped" and "Worst Cooks In America". There are also reality series that focus on one family, one group or one city, and some popular examples include "Keeping Up With The Kardashians", "Jersey Shore" and The Real Housewives franchise.
What’s crazier than all of these options for TV is that what we watch says a lot about us. Are we daring and adventurous? Do we let our emotions get the best of us? Are we stylish? Do we dream of owning a food truck? Are we fascinated with the lives of the rich and famous?
