The movies and shows from the Marvel Cinematic Universe have drawn countless of fans world wide. Loving superheros isn't just for kids or a part of geek culture, the MCU has made these super powered characters icons in several other types of media. From the first Iron Man to Avengers: Infinity War the MCU has made us cheer, cry and even laugh with how it has brought popular heros out of the comics and into the real world.
Fans of course love the men of the MCU, and it doesn't hurt that they are played by talented and handsome actors like Chris Evans for Captain America and Chadwick Boseman for Black Panther. But the MCU isn't just filled with muscled men in costumes, there are quite a few ladies of the MCU as well. And they are just as loved and just as capable of saving the day as their male counterparts. What would the MCU be like without badasses like Black Widow or Gamora? And where would Captain America and Iron Man be without the lovely Peggy Carter and Pepper Potts, respectively, who were there to lend support? Who doesn't love Kat Dennings' Darcy Lewis with her sarcastic quips, and then there is Letitia Wright as Shuri, who has quickly become everyone's favorite "Disney" princess. And we can't forget the upcoming Captain Marvel movie that will be the MCU's first movie with a female superhero as the title character.

Frigga is the queen of Asgard, mother of Thor and Loki and wife to Odin. She is skilled in magic and was the one who taught Loki his skills in magical illusions. And Meredith Quill is Peter Quill, or Star Lord's, mother. She gave Star Lord the walkman and the mixtape he treasures so much. Both were very loving mothers who died tragically. Michelle Jones or Peggy Carter?
Michelle Jones, or MJ as she likes for her friends to call her, is a very observant and smart girl. She goes to the same school as Peter Parker and likes to tease him and his friends. And Peggy Carter was a MI5 agent who was an advisor for the Strategic Scientific Reserve and overseer for candidates of Project Rebirth. It's through there that she met Steve Rogers and came to assist him during the fight against HYDRA in WWII. Which is your favorite, MJ or Peggy?
Maria Hill or Sif?
Maria Hill was Nick Fury's second in command acting as the Deputy Director of S.H.I.E.L.D. She worked closely with not only Fury but Phil Coulson and the Avengers. And Sif is an Asgardian warrior and close friend to Thor and the Warriors Three. Both women are well known and respected in their fields of expertise and are tough-minded. Which one is your favorite, Maria Hill or Sif?
Laura Barton or Betty Ross?
Laura Barton is the wife of Clint Barton, or better known as Hawkeye. She is a surprise to all of the Avengers, except Black Widow whom she was already well acquainted with and friends with. Laura and Clint's family were kept off of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s record to keep her from being targeted by Hawkeye's enemies. And Betty Ross was the former girlfriend of Bruce Banner. She was a scientist and professor at Culver University and assisted Banner in his experiment with gamma radation which lead to the creation of the Hulk. Which of these MCU ladies is your favorite?
Sharon Carter or Hope van Dyme?
Sharon Carter is the great niece of Peggy Carter and followed in her footsteps, becoming an agent for S.H.I.E.L.D. She worked undercover as a neighbor of Steve Rogers to keep tabs on him. And with the aftermath of the HYDRA Uprising, she quit S.H.I.E.L.D to join the CIA. And Hope van Dyme is the daughter of Hank Pym and Janet van Dyme, and a board member of Pym Technologies. She helped her father and Scott Lang, Ant-Man, stop the CEO of Pym Technologies from selling a weapon based on her father's Ant-Man suit. She will become Wasp in the next Ant-Man movie. Mantis or Darcy?
We first see Mantis as an ally to Ego, Star Lord's father. Ego found her as an infant and took care of her, and she lived with him on his planet. She has the ability to sense other people's emotions and can sometimes even alter them. After helping the Guardians of the Galaxy defeat Ego, she joined them. And Darcy Lewis is a political science major who became an intern for Erik Selvig and an assistant for Jane Foster. She worked with Foster to understand the Bifrost Bridge and helped Thor fight against Malekith and the Dark Elves. Which of these MCU ladies is your favorite?
Janet van Dyne or May Parker?
Janet van Dyne was Hope van Dyne's mother and wife to Hank Pym. She worked with her husband in missions for S.H.I.E.L.D., using her own shrinking suit as the Wasp. She ultimately sacrificed herself to disarm a missile headed towards the United States. And May Parker is the aunt of Peter Parker, in Spider-Man: Homecoming she portrayed younger, but she is still Parker's loving and caring aunt. Which of these ladies is your favorite?
Gamora or Black Widow?
Gamora was once a highly skilled assassin for her adoptive father, the cosmic warlord Thanos. She betrayed him one day during a mission and eventually wound up getting involved with Star Lord and the other ex criminals who would eventually become the Guardians of the Galaxy. And Black Widow was also once an assassin for the KGB, and found herself recruited by Nick Fury to work as an agent for S.H.I.E.L.D. She is a highly trained spy and martial artist, and if apart of the Avengers. Which of these two are your favorite?
Jane Foster or Pepper Potts?
Jane Foster is a the world's leading astrophysicists and astronomer. She first meets Thor when he was banished from Earth and helped him return to Asgard. She became the host the Aether and a target of Malekith during the Convergence. She was romantically involved with Thor. And then there is Pepper Potts, who was originally Tony Stark's personal assistant. She eventually became the CEO of Stark Industries and her and Tony Stark have been romantically involved. Which of these two MCU ladies is your favorite?
Proxima Midnight or Hela?
Proxima Midnight is another adoptive daughter of Thanos, after he conquered her race. She was a member of the Black Order and helped Thanos find and retrieve the Infinity stones so he could harness their power. And Hela is the daughter of Odin and goddess of Death, who was his Executioner during his conquest of the Nine Realms. When he found that the best way to unite the Nine Realms was through peace, he sealed Hela away, fearing her ambitiousness for conquest. Which of these two wicked ladies of the MCU is your favorite?
Maria Stark or Romanda?
Maria Stark was Tony Stark's mother and Howard Stark's wife. She had a much closer relationship to her son than her husband did. She was assassinated along with her husband by the Winter Solider at the orders of HYDRA, and their deaths were made to look like they had been in a car accident. And then there Romanda, the mother of T'Challa and Shuri and the Queen Mother of Wakanda. Which of these MCU mothers is your favorite?
Valkyrie or Okoye?
Valkyrie, or rather Brunnhilde, was apart of an all female elite group of Asgardian warriors known as the Valkyrie. Odin sent them to drive Hela back into her imprisonment and Hela killed them all, with only Valkyrie surviving. She lived in self-exile until she came across Thor, who she initially sold to the Grandmaster, but later teamed up with and joined the Revengers. And then there is Okoye, who is the general of Wakanda's Dora Milaje, an all female elite group of bodyguards, and the head of the country's armed forces and intel. She assisted T'Challa in rescuing Nakia, fighting against Killmonger and defending Wakanda against Thanos. Which of these MCU ladies is your favorite?
Nebula or Scarlet Witch?
Nebula was one of Thanos' adopted children, who he trained to be merciless warriors. She and Gamora initially bonded and thought of each other as real sisters. But that bond became strained as Thanos often pitted them against one another, with Gamora winning all of their fights. Thanos forced Nebula to undergo modifications to her body to make her Gamora's equal, which made Nebula grow to resent her sister. And the Scarlet Witch was an initial adversary towards the Avengers, along with her brother Quicksilver. After their parents were killed by bombs created by Stark Industries, Wanda and Pietro vowed revenge on Tony Stark. The joined Ultron's cause, but then ultimately sided with the Avengers when they learned the true nature of his plans. Which MCU lady is your favorite?
Nakia or Vanessa?
Nakia is a Wakandan spy and a member of the War Dogs, central intelligence agency of Wakanda. She was often sent on missions around the world, where she started to distance herself from the Wakandan idea of isolationism, thinking that her country could and should help the people of the world facing hardships. She is also the love interest of T'Challa. And Vanessa was a former escort and became Wade Wilson's girlfriend and then fiancée after they dated for year. Which of these MCU ladies is your favorite?
Negasonic Teenage Warhead or Shuri?
Negasonic Teenage Warhead is a trainee under Colossus at Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters. She is a moody and anti-social teen who doesn't think much of Deadpool when they first interact. She has the ability to create and manipulate explosions from her body. And Shuri is the princess of Wakanda and the little sister of T'Challa, Black Panther. She is the leader of Wakanda's Design Group, which is a scientific division of the country. She is responsible for mot of Wakanda's advanced technology and created the new Black Panther habits. Liz Toomes or Lila Barton?
Liz Toomes is friends with Peter Parker and goes to the same school. She is also the captain of their school's decathlon team. Parker has a crush of her and even asks her to be his date to the homecoming dance. When he picks her up he finds out that her father is Adrian Toomes, or the Vulture. And Lila Barton is Hawkeye's daughter. She seems very close to Black Widow as she ran up to hug her when Hawkeye brought the Avengers to his home, and she showed her a picture of a butterfly she drew. Captain Marvel or Irani Rael
The Captain Marvel movie doesn't come out until 2019, but it has already been confirmed that Brie Larson will be playing her. Carol Danvers becomes one of the universe's most powerful superheros when the Earth is caught between two races of aliens in a galactic war. And at the end of Infinity War, just before Fury was erased from existence we saw him managed to send a message that Captain Marvel. And Irani Rael is the commander of the Nova Corps in Guardians of the Galaxy. She led her people to victory against Ronan the Accuser when he tried to destroy her home world. Which of this MCU ladies is your favorite?
Ayesha or the Ancient One?
Ayesha is the Golden High Priestess of the Sovereign. She initially hires the Guardians of the Galaxy to defend valuable batteries from an monster known as the Abilisk, and promises to give them Nebula in exchange for their services. She become their enemy when Rocket Raccoon stole some of the batteries to sell. And then there is the Ancient One who was the Sorcerer Supreme and leader of the Master of the Mystic Arts. She protected the Earth from mystical threats and taught others the magical arts, including Doctor Strange. Which of these two MCU ladies is your favorite?
Ghost or Topaz?
Ghost is an upcoming villain in the second Ant-Man movie, Ant-Man and the Wasp. She is described as being a professional corporate sabotager who has the ability to phase through matter. And Topaz was the Grandmaster's bodyguard and oversaw the prisoners involved in the Contest of Champions. Which of these two MCU ladies is your favorite?
Maya Hansen or Christie Palmer?
Maya Hansen was a scientist that joined Aldrich Killian and used his funding to further develop her Extremis project. When she realized Killian was using it for terrorism, she tried to stop him only be killed. And Christine Palmer is a surgeon and former colleague of Doctor Stranger. She had a relationship with him but broke up with him because of his ego. But she would continue to provide help to Strange when he needed it, operating on him and the Ancient One. Bast or Death?
Maybe calling them "ladies" isn't exactly accurate but Bast and Death are two female characters of the MCU. Bast is a goddess of Wakanda. A Wakandan legends states that a warrior shaman received a vision from Bast that led him to the heart-shaped herbs and turned him into the first Black Panther. And Death is one of the four Cosmic Entities of the universe that created the Infinity Stones. Which of these otherworldly beings is your favorite?
Madame B or Anne Marie Hoag?
Madame B was apart of the Red Room program that trained female Russian assassins. She was the supervisor and had a hand at training a young Natasha Romanoff, seeing that she had the potential to become the next Black Widow. And Anne Marie Hoag is the director of the Department of Damage Control, which was created by Tony Stark to handle and clean up all the damage done by the Avengers after their battles. Helen Cho or Chess Roberts?
Helen Cho is a geneticist who worked with the Avengers to assist them in their fight against HYDRA. She created the Cradle, a medical device that could create synthetic tissue that was used to save Hawkeye's life when. She also used the Cradle to create to create a synthetic body for Ultron when he controlled her mind. And Chess Roberts is a news reporter for WHIH News.She covered the coverage of Tony Stark's Stark Expo. Which of this MCU ladies is your favorite?
Fenris and Irina?
Can animals count as a favorite lady? Well they are in this instance as the MCU has a few female animal companions as well. Fenris was an Asgardian wolf who was Hela's loyal companion and her mount during her and Odin's conquest of the Nine Realms. She died and was resurrected by Hela once she escaped. And Irina was the bird belonging to Ivan and Anton Vanko. She was a white cockatoo that Ivan loved. Which of these are your favorite?
Master Minoru or Ayo?
Master Minoru is a Master of the Mystic Arts and the master of the Hong Kong Sanctum. She joined with the other masters to fight against Kaecilius and the Zealots. And Ayo is a member of the Dora Milaje and the head of security for T'Challa. She stood up the Black Widow when she thought she would slow down T'Challa's mission to kill the Winter Soldier.
