Pick Who You'd Hire Or Fire And We'll Reveal Which TV Show You Should Watch

Do you ever find yourself loving a show, but secretly hating one (or many) of the actors or actresses? Maybe you think some lines are overdone by certain TV stars (e.g. Rick Grimes constantly screaming "Carl!" from The Walking Dead) or you think the actor/actress plays super easy roles that anyone, even your grandpa, could probably do. (I'm looking at you, Kaley Cuoco, who plays Penny in Big Bang Theory.) Maybe you're tired of the staleness of roles that have no character development (like RJ Mitte who plays Walt Jr. in Breaking Bad) or you're just tired of them complaining all the time (like Skylar White from Breaking Bad or Cersei Lannister from Game of Thrones).

Maybe your favorite TV show did the right thing by dropping a certain actor or actress because they were so bad that they were hurting the show's overall ratings and you're happy about it. Or maybe you think some TV stars should stay in our past rather than trying to keep up with the modern times.

If any of the above applies to you, then you're in for a real treat. This quiz is going to let you banish those bad actors and kiss those poor actresses goodbye by allowing you to create your own TV show with stars that you actually love watching perform either because of their great acting skills or because the character they portray is so gosh darn likeable.

Question 1

Would you hire this actress?

Courtney Cox played Monica Geller in Friends. She was the neurotic, clean-a-holic, chef in her circle of friends. If you were really blown away by her comedic timing or her fluid acting skills then she might be the last person you'd fire from your show. If I were to fire her it'd be because she has no range of emotions. It's all pretty shouty and shrill sounding.

Question 2

Would you have fired this actor?

You may have thought that Charlie Sheen dominated his role as Charlie Harper in Two And A Half Men and that he deserved a few more chances. But the director ran out of patience after giving him time off and by reaching out to his family members. Some of you might think his actions were the straw that broke the camel's back.

Question 3

Would you have fired this guy, too?

This is Preston Burke from Grey's Anatomy. Rumor has it, he was fired for making at homophobic slur towards one of his co-workers, T. R. Knight. But hey, maybe you're the kind of person who believes in second chances. Apparently, Lisa Kudrow only became Phoebe Buffay because she was fired from the show Frazier.

Question 4

Would you hire this dude?

Say hello to Ben Savage, otherwise known as Cory Matthews from Boy Meets World! He has been in a few shows since that series, but none of them surpassed his performance as the young, witty sportsfan otherwise known as Cory Matthews. Some actors are so phenomenal at their roles that it hampers their future acting abilities since fans can't stop thinking of Ben Savage as Cory, kinda like Daniel Radcliffe from Harry Potter.

Question 5

Would you hire this woman again?

This is Meredith from Grey's Anatomy portrayed by Ellen Pompeo. This actress had quite a bit of success under her belt from all the movies she played in prior to Grey's Anatomy like Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and Daredevil. However, maybe those all the reasons you may not want to cast her in your show.

Question 6

Would you have let this actress go?

There's a couple different rumors circulating throughout the internet regarding why Katherine Heigl left (or was let go from) Grey's Anatomy. Some sources said she simply wanted more time to devote to friends and family. While other sources say there was tension between her and the show's writers. But then again, maybe you can empathize with her and understand that she had a lot of pressure on her shoulders.

Question 7

Would you hire him again?

I'm not sure about you, but I always cringed when I saw R. J. Mitte's character. First of all, his name is Walt Jr. (yuck!) and second, I'm not sure how I'm supposed to react to him. Am I supposed to feel sorry for him or is he just there to make Walt's descent from an average high school teacher to a criminal more believable since it gave Walt more to fight for? For all of those who are unfamiliar with the show, he had to use walking sticks because he had cerebral palsy.

Question 8

Would you hire him again?

Don Draper (played by Jon Hamm) is the protagonist in the TV series Mad Men. This is the guy who has it all: a beautiful wife, great kids, and a cushiony job at an advertising agency. Plus, he is super good at what he does. Then again, maybe you don't want to hire Jon Hamm because you want him to always be Don Draper in your heart. I can understand that.

Question 9

Would you have let go of Patrick Dempsey for the sake of the storyline?

To many of you, the show Grey's Anatomy was probably ruined once the show's writer killed off Patrick Dempsey's character, Derek Shepherd. The writer makes a sound case for her decision, though. She wanted Derek's and Meredith's love story to remain innocent and true, which was not going to be the case if Derek followed through with his plans of leaving Meredith.

Question 10

How would you have let go of Monica Geller's former squeeze?

If you know the story then you're probably aware of how Richard was 21 years older than Monica. Gross! And you probably know that initially Richard didn't want any more kids, while Monica wanted them. The writers didn't kill him off because they wanted to use him later on to stir up drama which is what happened when Richard confesses his love to Monica later in the series.

Question 11

Would you cast David Schwimmer in any future sitcom?

Maybe you hated his role as Ross Geller or maybe you didn't. I could totally understand if you didn't like his character. At the worst, Ross is seen as arrogant, childish, and has this unhealthy need of always being right. At best, he is socially awkward and endearing to watch him try to score dates.

Question 12

Would you cast Miley Cyrus in another sitcom?

You might remember her as Miley Stewart from Hannah Montana from way back then. She was a hyper, compassionate, witty southern belle from Tennessee. Given her new hairstyle, she'd probably have to drop the southern belle appeal and adopt a rocker chick persona. Do you think she can transcend her old childhood roles or do you think she should stick with roles her Hannah Montana fans enjoy?

Question 13

Would you hire this actress again?

Remember Sarah Michelle Gellar? 'Course you do! She's our vampire slayer! Well, she hasn't done much lately. If you think she can only be a vampire slayer then think again. Way before Buffy she was in another series called All My Children which she continued after Buffy. However, aside from that series, maybe there's a reason she can't get other acting roles outside the genre of horror? Her personality in Buffy was borderline snobby and rebellious.

Question 14

Would you give this actress another shot?

This is Jodie Sweetin. The girl who plays Stephanie Tanner in the sitcom Full House. She's known for her perky personality and trustworthiness. Plus, she's known as a blabbermouth. If you can look at her picture without hearing the words "You got it, dude" right away then maybe you'd include her in another show. Keep in mind, though: she had a drug problem after Full House.

Question 15

Would you have hired this actress?

Shannen Doherty was fired from Beverly Hills, 90210 because she was demanding and difficult to work with on set. She was finally let go after cutting her hair short. That last reason seems a bit harsh to me depending on how short she got it cut. I'm sure Rachel, Monica, and Phoebe weren't micromanaged to the point that they would have to seek permission before getting a trim. Shannen Doherty played Brenda Walsh who was a fierce, independent woman who's not afraid to speak her mind.

Question 16

Would you rehire Thomas Gibson?

He was Aaron Hotchner in Criminal Minds. Or he was until he had a physical altercation with a producer or he shoved a director. Many websites are saying different things. Who knows what sparked this outburst, may it was justified and then again maybe it wasn't. He played a very serious and focused FBI worker, who changed very little throughout the series. It wasn't all bad, he was also Greg from Dharma & Greg, and super loveable!

Question 17

Which actor or actress are you sick of the most?

Maybe you think they do a poor job or maybe it has nothing to do with the actor and has much more to do with the role they were assigned. Also, some characters in shows just don't change. As people we need to see character development in order to relate to the characters and learn from them. If you hate Skylar White then maybe you just like more light-hearted characters or if you despise Joey in Friends then maybe you prefer smarter roles.

Question 18

Which actress or actor would you like to see again?

Maybe you really appreciate Bryan Cranston's role as Walter White because he was able to show you how an average law-abiding citizen becomes a hardened criminal. Or maybe you liked watching Jennifer Aniston's Rachel Green grow up from spoiled city girl to a selfless career woman. Or maybe you really appreciated Derek Shepherd's bravery when taking on difficult cases that other surgeons passed up.

Question 19

Which actor or actress are you fine with never seeing again?

It's kind of like when you see an actor perform so expectionallly well at a villainous role that you can only see them as a bad guy constantly. A good example would be Jack Gleeson's character, Joffrey from Game of Thrones. Laurie Holden does a great job at playing Andrea in The Walking Dead, so good that fans are often bothered by it. She's often incoherent and unpredictable. Sounds like a writer's problem more than the actress's fault.

Question 20

Which actress would you have fired?

Tammin Sursok plays Jenna Marshall on Pretty Little Liars. Many fans don't know that she had an Australian accent which almost jeopardized her role in the show. Luckily, she was able to put on a convincing enough American accent. Janet Hubert who plays Vivian Banks claims she was fired because of a falling out with Will Smith, but in actuality was because she got knocked up. Lisa Bonet played Denise Huxtable on The Cosby Show. She claims she was fired because she didn't align with Bill Cosby's vision for the show.

Question 21

Who are you sick and tired of the most?

Has Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul) said "bitch!" or "yo!" one too many times in your book? Or maybe you are sick of Meredith (played by Ellen Pompeo) from Grey's Anatomy being a whiny, selfish friend at times? Or have you heard enough of Janice's (portrayed by Maggie Wheeler) nasally laugh to last you a lifetime? I don't blame you for that last one. Not at all.

Question 22

Would you cut Summer from Rick and Morty?

She creates a great foil for Rick, but then again any good-natured, average IQ person could fit that role. Morty fits that role. Jerry fits that role. So, you might wonder why we need her? You could argue she brings in the modern flair and that she appeals to teenage women who might find it easy to relate to her. Or at least get a kick out of her, nonetheless.

Question 23

Would you fire this actress?

The show's creator admitted that this yuppie, white girl was his "trojan horse" for getting his TV show, Orange is the New Black, accepted by networks. His vision was to show what life is like for latinos and blacks in prison, but he knew that could be a hard sell. So now that the show has had numerous seasons, do you think it's time to pull the plug on her? Or do you think her character development is reminiscent of Walter's from Breaking Bad?

Question 24

Would you fire this actress?

Tilly (played by Mary Wiseman) from Star Trek: Discovery is sometimes touted as an unbelievable character. She is often seen as an annoying, stuttering mess and she's supposed to be an engineer for one of the most sophisticated starfleet ever. But then again, she provides a great foil for Burnham.

Question 25

Would you fire this actress?

Natalia Dyer plays Nancy Wheeler in the Netflix series Stranger Things. She plays a super cliched high school girl, which leads me to think they only needed her to unveil the tragedy of the disappearance (and unfortunate demise of her friend) which she barely did anything about. Perhaps she'll serve as a damsel in distress or create a love triangle with Jonathan Byers and Steve Harrington. If you are a sucker for romantic drama then you might want to hold onto her.
