It's safe to say that whether we perceive a person as being attractive or not is subjective to some extent. However, in a broader sense, it is also true that certain looks or physical dimensions are naturally more pleasing to our senses than others.
One of the greatest representatives of this phenomena is the golden ratio, which has been used extensively in architecture for centuries, but which also applies to the human face and body. The golden ratio is a specific ratio derived from the distances between two points which is proven to be the most pleasing to the human eye. Of course there are plenty of other factors than just symmetry which affect how attractive a person is to someone, including the color of their skin, lips, eyes, and hair, their hairstyle, their smile, their facial expressions, and even their aura or presence.
Nonetheless, while beauty is somewhat subjective, the power of consensus can still tell us which celebrities are more widely considered to be hot than others. We've used just such a consensus of opinions as the basis of our quiz: the 2016 Askmen Crush List, which polled its readers on who their celebrity crushes are. We'll pit two random celebrities from that list against each other, with the winner being determined by the celeb that ranked higher on that list.
