Pick The Best Movie Cars And We’ll Recommend A Dream Car

Recent years have shown that people love seeing cars in movies, whether it's the Fast and Furious films or whatever Transformers film is coming out. Maybe it's that part of humans that wants to own a dream car or maybe it's the CGI and explosions that helps those movies make so much at the box office. We're quizmakers, not those working in Hollywood.

Today, let's look at some iconic movie cars and try to figure out a perfect dream car. For some, a dream car may be something simple like a Toyota or a Kia, while others could dream higher for a Beamer, Benz, or Bentley. (Reference to Lloyd Banks totally intended.) But if we're talking about dream cars, why not go for the top?

There's no real ground rules for this quiz other than all of the cars listed below are actual movie cars. We're not going to include something like the Millennium Falcon or a horse as a joke. There are sports cars, convertibles, and much more on this quiz, so let's try to figure out a perfect dream car to think about landing one day. Anything is possible in 2018, even owning one of the following iconic cars!

Question 1

Batmobile

We had to include the Batmobile on this list, though it's the Christopher Nolan version which comes from a modded 1964 Chevy Impala. It's hard to go against a car that can ram through walls and has all of those sci-fi features, which is why we think highly of it. Find me a better superhero car!

Question 2

Wet Nellie

Bond? James Bond! Yes, the Wet Nellie - or, if you want to be technical, the Series I Lotus Esprit - makes it onto this list. Imagine having a car that went from being a car to a submarine? Old-school Grand Theft Auto players would never have to worry about the water in Liberty or Vice City with a car like that.

Question 3

1932 Ford Coupe

Before Han Solo was flying the Millennium Falcon, George Lucas had Harrison Ford driving a 1932 Ford Coupe in 1973's "American Graffiti." Yes, George Lucas was making movies before the initial "Star Wars" hit screens in May 1977. The yellow may be a divisive color for some, but this car as a whole was plenty awesome.

Question 4

2015 Acura NSX

If this car looks familiar to comic book fans, it's because Tony Stark drove an early version of this in 2012's "The Avengers." That car later became the 2015 Acura NSX, which is the type of car one would see in a Fast and Furious movie. Does that mean we're going to see Robert Downey Jr. race Vin Diesel?

Question 5

1973 XB GT Ford Falcon

We promise the car from "Mad Max" won't be as violent or life-threatning as those movies could be. This is another of those Grand Theft Auto cars you'd see Carl Johnson or one of the older "heroes" driving to avoid the police - and looking awesome while they're doing it. There's just something magical to this car!

Question 6

Ecto-1

If we're being technical once again, the Ecto-1 is the 1959 Cadillac Miller-Meteor. Just now, it's used to catch ghosts and transport Bill Murray around before he became a talking cat that liked lasagna. That New York in me still loves the Ecto-1 and the original "Ghostbusters," but what do you think of this legendary vehicle?

Question 7

1950 Mercury Monterey

This car comes all the way from 1950, but it's best remembered for its usage in the 1986 movie "Cobra." That was the movie where Sylvester Stallone takes on a murder cult and only has a 17 percent approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes. At least we got to see this car in action.

Question 8

Mach V

I could not have been alone in having the Mach V replica car as a kid for my action figures. I may not have ever been a huge fan of "Speed Racer," but this car just had such an awesome design and it was hard to hate it. What'd you think of the Mach V?

Question 9

1976 Ford Gran Torino

While the newer "Starksy and Hutch" movie certainly wasn't the old one, you can never go wrong with a car like the 1976 Ford Gran Torino. I'm especially a fan of the red paint here, though everyone is entitled to their own paint color on their dream car. How do you like this?

Question 10

2002 TVR Tuscan Speed-6

The "Swordfish" movie with John Travolta and Halle Berry is best described as forgettable, though most people seem to agree the 2002 TVR Tuscan Speed-6 was awesome. It's not unlike there being a bad Batman movie or video game where the Batmobile is at the very least a saving grace. Unless the Bat Credit Card is involved.

Question 11

1981 De Lorean DMC-12

Doing a quiz or list of cool movie cars and not including the 1981 De Lorean DMC-12 is wrong on so many levels. This is the car that revolutionized time travel in movies and inspired so many iconic moments like the time travel theme or...wait for it...GREAT SCOTT! Let's just hope that when these movies are eventually rebooted, they don't destroy the De Lorean.

Question 12

1930 Blower Bentley

There are plenty of other cars associated with James Bond and his spy adventures, though some fans may forget earlier versions of the character actually drove a 1930 Blower Bentley - or, as some have taken to calling it, a monster Bentley. I'm definitely a fan of this, even if doesn't have that same cool factor Goldfinger or the Wet Nellie does.

Question 13

1963 Aston Martin DB5

How awesome is the Goldfinger? Complex once said that if they had a choice between it and hanging out with Kim Kardashian, the car would win in a heartbeat. They also hoped the reader would make the same choice, though that's the fun of a quiz like this. There are no wrong answers here!

Question 14

1966 Alfa Romeo 1600 Spider Duetto

Mrs. Robinson, you're trying to seduce me. Well, with a car like that, why not? And like young men in the 1960s who found Mrs. Robinson attractive, the car itself was fairly desirable. We'll let the comment sections decide if people would rather have Mrs. Robinson or the car, but for now, tell us what you think of the car.

Question 15

Gigahorse

So what exactly is the Gigahorse? Try two 1959 Cadillac Coupe de Villes basically fused together to create a war machine - and no, we're not talking about Don Cheadle. These are the types of inventions only a movie like Mad Max could come up with and, honestly, we're not hating on them because look at the design. Awesomeness personified.

Question 16

1970 Dodge Charger

One would think the "Fast and Furious" movies limit themselves only to newer cars, but the 1970 Dodge Charger has been a staple throughout the series for good reason. Not only is the car heavily modded, but it can hold its own and is a beauty to watch. What do you think of this car?

Question 17

1994 Porsche 911 (964) Turbo 3.6

All I think of when I see the 1994 Porsche 911 (964) Turbo 3.6 is Rick Ross rapping "IN MY 9-11!" Remember when Rick Ross and Maybach Music Group seemed prime to run rap music? As we remember the M-m-m-m-Maybach days, let's also remember the car that was made famous by "Bad Boys."

Question 18

1964 Chevy Impala

You know this movie best for "Boyz n da Hood," but I'll let Eazy-E take it from here. "Cruisin' down the street in my six-fo.'" That's all we can say because the rest of the song gets a bit too dirty for the values we have here. (And because I'm not taking the bait.)

Question 19

1956 Jaguar XK140 Roadster

"Cruel Intentions" certainly was an interesting movie about rich people lacking souls, though the 1956 Jaguar XK140 Roadster made things better. (It's not that I didn't like the movie, but my favorite part is just whenever the Jag comes out.) I've always been a Jaguar/Mercedes/BMW/Audi guy, so I'm biased, but how do you like this car?

Question 20

1991 Mustang GT Convertible

I'm not trying to be a Menace II Society when I praise this car, but come on. Cain was so lucky to drive a car like this, especially with those gold 10" Daytons. There's a reason why that late 1980s, early 1990s "gangsta" culture looked like it was going to become the new Wild West in terms of love and culture.

Question 21

1979 Chevy Monte Carlo

If someone in civil services like a police officer or fireman is driving a car like this, one of two things is going on. They either inherited a ton of money, or they're corrupt. Thank you, Alonzo Harris in "Training Day," for proving that there's some truth to the second one. "I steal confiscated drug money," indeed.

Question 22

1976 AMC Pacer

Yep, the car from "Wayne's World" makes it onto this quiz. Say what you want about the movie - I'm not a fan of it or those other mid-90's comedy movies - but we can all agree the car is an iconic part of the movie, right? What do you think about the 1976 AMC Pacer?

Question 23

1967 Shelby Mustang GT500

If you're trying to be gone in 60 seconds, the 1967 Shelby Mustang GT500 is exactly the type of car you need. Get it? Because the car was in "Gone in 60 Seconds" and that's why it's on this list. Ugh, you can't blame me for my sense of humor. I'm a millennial. Now, tell me what you think of the car.

Question 24

1968 Cadillac DeVille Convertible

The Bronx may not feature 1968 Cadillac DeVille Convertibles anymore, but the borough hosting the New York Yankees sure told a memorable tale involving this car in 1993. Yes, we went there with that bad a pun. No, we're not going to apologize. Yes, we want you to just go ahead and answer this.

Question 25

1977 Pontiac Firebird Trans-Am

You remember the 1977 Pontiac Trans-Am from "Smokey and the Bandit," right? Though I've never been into Pontiacs, I will say anything that's named a Firebird or Phoenix is awesome. And no, getting a Firebird and naming it Jean Grey isn't funny or cute. Get off my lawn! What'd you think of this car?

Question 26

1961 Jaguar E-Type

I've mentioned elsewhere that I love Jaguars, so I think you know how I feel about this car. I would've loved to get a Jag two years ago, but the Florida heat kills them early, sadly. Enough about me in a quiz that's more about you, though. Tell me what you think about the car from "Danger: Diobolik."

Question 27

1958 Bristol 405 Sedan

I'm not going to try selling you on "An Education" with Carey Mulligan and Peter Sarsgaard, but I will say two things: I really enjoyed the movie and getting to see the 1958 Bristol 405 Sedan in action was cool too. I'm just a sucker for these older cars, I guess.

Question 28

1961 Ferrari GT250

For all of the things that Ferris Bueller and his friends do on their day off, trashing the 1961 Ferrari GT250 may be the worst of them all. Let's just be glad that car was a replica and not a real '61. I don't think I'd have been able to forgive anyone involved if that was the case.

Question 29

2007 Aston Martin DBS V12

Other than Goldfinger, this is maybe the best car from the James Bond movies. Yes, I'd put this over Wet Nellie, but you're free to disagree with me. I just prefer the sleek black paint and the more modern look, though I will acknowledge Wet Nellie is better for the character. Me? I'm driving this car for life.

Question 30

1980 Lamborghini Countach LP 400S

There seems to be a reoccuring trend where less-than-stellar movies have awesome cars in them. Did you know that when you Google "The Cannonball Run" and see the ratings it got, you're treated to half a star from Roger Ebert. Woof. At least we got the 1980 Lamborghini Countach LP 400S in full action.

Question 31

1969 Mercedes-Benz Cabriolet

We experienced "The Hangover" nearly a decade ago and got to see the 1969 Mercedes-Benz Cabriolet in action. As I've long been a fan of Mercedes-Benzes - my first car was actually going to be a 2007 E-350 before it had some issues and I went a different route - I was thrilled to see this baby in action.

Question 32

1970 Dodge Challenger R/T 440

If you've never seen "Vanishing Point" and you're not even intrigued by the beautiful 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T 440 in that picture, here's a brief teaser. A Vietnam War veteran is addicted to pills and has to go cross-country for his next fix, which will be free if he makes it in time. I seriously recommend giving the movie a try.

Question 33

1968 Bullitt Mustang

What a cast Bullitt had between Robert Vaughn, Vic Tayback, Pat Renella, and Steve McQueen. You're not going to see me complain about the 1968 Bullitt Mustang the movie features either. Bullitt is definitely an underrated movie I suggest checking out if you get a chance this summer, especially with the car of choice.

Question 34

1969 Ford Mustang

Those who have seen John Wick should immediately recognize the 1969 Ford Mustang, which is a Boss 429 and not a Mach 1 as people seem to believe. I'll let the car experts in the comment section handle this better than I can, though that's some useful trivia for you. What are you picking here?

Question 35

Mystery Machine

Yes, we're going here. The Mystery Machine certainly is a unique vehicle, though that comes from its paint job more than it being a 1972 Ford Econoline. If you're like me and you've seen people driving actual knock-off versions in real-life, you're probably feeling speechless again. What do you think of this iconic van?
