Let's be honest, food in the 90s was just better. Some of the classic snacks from the 1990s are still around because they were either never discontinued or they got brought back due to popular demand, but a lot of them are still retired and can't be readily purchased. So, for anyone who feels nostalgic when they think about snacking on some Dunk-a-roos or sipping Crystal Pepsi, you're kind of out of luck. Sorry!
Fortunately, there are plenty of other snacks still lining the grocery store aisles. Some of the old 90s snacks were even brought back or never left! If you loved Oreo O's, Lunchables, and Butterfinger BB's, you're in luck because you can still get them. This was never more true than in the 90s when candy could get just plain strange at times. Pick a fruity snack.
Fruit is great. It's sweet and healthy and delicious whether it's fresh, frozen, or dried. But, there's one thing that can make fruit even tastier - making it candy! And the 90s had no shortage of delicious fruity candy snacks. Whether you wanted to be like the people in the Gushers commercials whose heads turned into fruit, eat long strings of Fruit by the Foot, or pick one of the other delicious fruity treats, you had plenty of options.
Does being clear make Pepsi better?
Crystal Pepsi wasn't exactly what you would call a huge hit. After being discontinued in the early 90s, it was a little bit of a joke for people who talked about nostalgic food and drinks for a long time after that. Regardless, Pepsi did reintroduce it in 2017 for a short period of time. People bought it, either to see if it was as gross as they remembered, try it just for fun, or drink their unpopular favorite soda.
Chocolate or vanilla Dunk-a-roos?
In the United States, Dunk-a-roos were officially discontinued in 2012, but they were difficult to find in most parts of the country for several years. But in Canada, they're still being made and General Mills even created an ad campaign surrounding the clever play on words "Smugglaroos" to encourage Canadians to smuggle Dunk-a-roos over the border to their loved ones in the states and give them a taste of the 90s.
Pick a Juice Bar flavor.
If you spent summers in the 90s eating these triangular ice pops by the box full and miss them, then you don't have to worry. They're still available in most grocery stores in the ice cream aisle right where you left them and the nostalgic taste is as delicious as it used to be. How did you feel about Whistle Pops?
If you miss playing beautiful music on your Whistle Pops, you're in luck! The candy company Chupa Chups, who is best known for another of the lollipops that they produce, reintroduced them into candy stores under the name Melody Pops. The name may be different but the taste and the screechy sound you can produce on them is just the same.
Was Trix better when it was in shapes?
For some reason, Trix cereal changed the shape of their delicious and fruity cereal from being shaped like flowers and pieces of fruit to being shaped like, well, nothing. Now, they're just circles. There are a lot of people who have made the joke that, like their slogan says, Trix are for kids and they just look like they're circles now because we're all grown up. They tasted better when they were shaped, right?

If you're going to watch a movie, you obviously need to have a snack to eat while you're watching it. Unfortunately, a lot of the best movie snacks from the 90s have been discontinued and we have to find replacements for the delicious treats. Did you chew Fruit Stripe gum?
Fruit Stripe gum isn't exactly the best gum ever made, but it has one thing going for it: the temporary tattoos on the wrapper. The flavor of this gum is super strong, but it doesn't last for more than a few chews and by the time your new temporary tattoo is dry, the flavor of the gum will be completely gone. Did that stop children of the 90s from chewing pack after pack? Nope!
Which Kid Cuisine would you rather eat?
Oh, Kid Cuisine. Every child of the 90s will remember those strange brownie-pudding hybrids that usually had a few stray pieces of frozen corn stuck in them. The bright, colorful boxes that made the entire frozen meal look a lot better than they actually were. But did that stop them from being devoured as soon as they left the microwave? Nope!
How did you feel about Uh-Oh Oreos?
These days, it seems like there are no flavors that are off-limits for Oreo cookies. They've come out with all kinds of flavors including birthday cake, cotton candy, waffles and syrup, and even a mystery flavor. The days of a chocolate cookie with plain vanilla icing inside are over. But, back before they started introducing all these flavors, they were already switching it up with the Uh-Oh Oreo which was inside out.

In 1997, Post Cereals introduced Oreo O's onto the shelves. Suddenly, the combination of Oreo cookies and milk took on a whole new life at the breakfast table. And then, in 2007, they were discontinued everywhere except South Korea. People would still order them from overseas, but it wasn't cheap. Luckily for everyone who loves to have a bowl of cookies in the morning, they're back on the shelves!

Remember when Little Debbie snack cakes were sold in every gas station and grocery store for only a quarter each? Anyone who begged their parents to buy them one of the deliciously sugary treats back in the 90s will remember that. Few soda brands come out with new variations on their drink as much as Pepsi has in the past and continues to do today. From way back in the 1980s when they introduced the ever-popular Pepsi Wild Cherry through the current time when they introduced Pepsi Fire, they're always changing. While some of the changes have remained a permanent feature in their brand, others haven't met such a kind fate.
Do you miss P.B. Crisps?
Okay Planters, P.B. Crisps were discontinued in 1995. Don't you think it's about time that you bring them back? Because we sure do. These delicious treats had a crispy, graham cracker-like cookie on the outside in the shape of a peanut and inside, they were filled with creamy and delicious peanut butter. Yum! The jingle that played on the commercials said the sweet taste was destined for fame, but unfortunately they were ripped away after 3 years of production.
How did you eat your Trix yogurt?
Trix may be for kids, but it's not just for cereal! Trix yogurt was incredibly popular in the 90s and, if you're lucky, you can still find it and taste that sweet, creamy nostalgia in a cup. Each cup had two different sides that were different colors and made one delicious flavor, whether you ate them together or separately. Did you like to eat each color by itself or together?

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, right? Everyone knows that! And in the 90s with awesome cereal lining the aisles of the grocery store, that was even more true. After Coca-Cola's attempt at making "New Coke" was so disastrous, they became a lot more selective about the new flavors of their classic drink that they were going to release. Laffy Taffy was better with sprinkles, right?
Laffy Taffy is delicious. The jokes on the wrapper are cheesy, but they're still pretty hilarious. But, there is one thing that Laffy Taffy has changed that they seriously need to bring back - certain flavors used to have sprinkles on them. There are still a couple that have them, but most of them don't anymore! Remember when the watermelon Laffy Taffy had candy seeds? They tasted better then, right?
Do you miss Butterfinger BB's?
Here's a little secret: Butterfinger BB's still technically exist. Although they were officially discontinued in 2006 and you won't see Bart Simpson talking about them on a commercial anymore, you can still sort of get them. In 2009, they were reintroduced as Butterfinger Mini Bites which aren't quite the same product, but they're still pretty tasty.
Pick a gimmicky gum.
Gum is delicious in all forms. Whether it's fruity or minty and whether it comes in soft stickers or crispy little squares, gum is great. And in the 90s, the variety of interesting packaging for gum was pretty much infinite. It came in jugs, shaped like bandages, in tins that looked like beepers, and more. Although the flavor may not have lasted too long, they were still pretty delicious.
Pick a drink.
Although the 90s had a plethora of amazing snacks, they just wouldn't be complete without having a drink to wash them down. Whether you preferred the plastic bottles that drinks like Kool-Aid Bursts and Squeezits came in or you liked more traditional juice boxes and bottles full of Hi-C or Guzzler, there was certainly a drink for everyone. Did you like colorful ketchup?
We just have one quick question for the 90s: why did someone feel the need to make brightly colored ketchup? It's already red, that's bright enough! There aren't purple and blue tomatoes, so why would you feel the need to make ketchup in those colors?! Can you say, "YUCK!"? For some reason, these bottled monstrosities were actually pretty popular. How did you feel about them?
Doritos were better in 3D, right?
Okay, so technically these were brought back in the form of Doritos Jacked 3D. The original Doritos 3D chips were discontinued everywhere except Mexico, so unfortunately the new version of them are the closest that snack enthusiasts are going to get without a trip out of the country. Some people say they're just as good, while others say that nothing can hold up to the originals. What do you think?
How did you feel about the old Gushers commercials?
Anyone who watched more than a little TV in the 90s probably remembers the old Gushers commercials. They were pretty weird and hard to forget. They involved someone who would sit down, open up a pack of Gushers, and as soon as they ate one, their head would turn into a piece of fruit! Talk about strange.
Bagel Bites or Pizza Rolls?
Is it really possible to improve on pizza? It's pretty perfect as it is. But, eating pizza in other forms is just as delicious as eating it by the slice. Pizza Rolls and Bagel Bites are still both around and sold in the frozen food aisle of most stores, but that doesn't mean that they weren't an after school staple for tons of kids in the 90s. Which of these unconventional pizza snacks was your food of choice?

There are so many different flavors of soda and energy drinks these days. Although there may not have been quite as many as there are now in the 90s, there were still a lot to choose from. There are a ton of different variations of Lunchables, but there are two of them that are undeniably the most popular. Which of them would you rather be eating?
Do you like to mix sweet and salty?
If you're into the combination of sweet and salty, then you're in luck because it's a pretty popular one and there are tons of snack foods that combine them. Although Reese's Swoops look like they were probably a Pringle covered in chocolate and peanut butter, the reality was a lot less disgusting than that. They were just a piece of chocolate and peanut butter candy shaped like a potato chip. The fact that they were so pointless is probably why they were discontinued.
Did you like Dinosaur Eggs oatmeal?
For whatever reason, the 90s was all about taking regular food and making it just a little bit more fun. Or, sometimes, they just made it plain weird. Dinosaur Eggs oatmeal from Quaker rode the fine line between making food fun and making it strange and they did it pretty well. This oatmeal was like any other oatmeal, except that it had extra little pieces in it that would "hatch" when they got heated up and turn into delicious little dinosaurs!
