Anyone who is a fan of watching TV shows will know that there are a ton of them out there. No matter what kind of show someone might be in the mood for, it's really easy to just open Hulu or Netflix and find one that fits exactly what we want to watch. Whether it's a funny sitcom, something more serious, or something right in the middle, there's definitely a show out there for just about everyone's taste. The big problem comes when we finish a show that we've been watching and have to figure out what to watch next!

There are so many shows out there that it seems like it should be easy to find the next show to start watching once we finish one, but anyone who has ever been in this position will know that there are so many, sometimes it can be hard to choose! All those choices can get seriously difficult. Sometimes, it seems easier to stop searching for a new show and just turn on an old favorite to re-watch instead of trying to sort through all the new ones which seem to be coming out all the time.

The series follows all the members of the Cleary family including mother Peggy Cleary, father Mike Cleary, and their seven sons and their lives living in the California suburbs in the 1970s.

The Office is a comedic series that aired from 2005 to 2013 for a total of nine seasons. This series, as the name would suggest, is set in the office of a company called Dunder Mifflin Paper Company, a fictional office set in Scranton, Pennsylvania. This series is supposed to look like a documentary that follows the lives of the employees working there, meaning that it features a single-camera setup, has "interviews" from the characters, and was not filmed with an audience or laugh track.

Criminal Minds is a suspenseful crime series that has been airing since 2005 and whose final season will be airing in 2019. Criminal Minds is a series that follows members of an investigative unit known as the BAU that is in charge of analyzing the behavior of the unknown suspect of a crime in order to try to narrow down the identity of the suspect in order to help make an arrest. Arrow follows a billionaire named Oliver Queen who is discovered alive five years after being shipwrecked with his father who begins hunting down criminals after his return to his home city.

Modern Family is a mockumentary-style sitcom that follows the lives of a large interconnected family. The series premiered in 2009 and was recently renewed for its 11th and final season. The mockumentary style means that characters often have interview segments or address the camera directly. The series features a huge ensemble cast that spans across three very different families including Jay Pritchett and his second wife Gloria, Jay's children Claire and Mitchell, and each of their families. The Good Place is a comedic fantasy series that follows a woman named Eleanor, played by Kirsten Bell, who wakes up and finds herself in the afterlife. When she wakes up there, she's told that she's in "The Good Place," a place like Heaven that's highly selective of who gets in and is basically a utopia for the people who are there, all of whom were morally upstanding people in their lives. Unfortunately, Eleanor realizes pretty quickly that she was sent there by mistake.

Shameless:

Shameless is a series that premiered in 2011 and is currently in its 9th season which premiered in 2018. According to Wikipedia, the fact that it's been on so long actually makes it Showtime's longest-running series! Pretty cool, right? Shameless follows the incredibly dysfunctional Gallagher family, made up of single father Frank Gallagher and his six children of varying ages. The show follows the lives of the family members and the way their father's struggles and their own issues impact their lives.

Black Mirror:

Black Mirror is a science fiction anthology series that has been pretty popular among Netflix lovers for the past few years. Each episode in this series is a completely separate story that is set in a universe where everything seems like it's mostly normal except the fact that something is slightly off. This series is inspired by the old anthology series The Twilight Zone and it definitely has the same spooky feeling. Pick or pass on this sci-fi TV series.

Atlanta:

Atlanta is a comedic TV series that began airing in 2016. The series is created by and stars actor and rapper Donald Glover, also known by his stage name of Childish Gambino. In the series, Glover plays a young Atlanta resident named Earn who dropped out of college and therefore has no money and goes between living with his parents and his girlfriend. After he realizes his cousin, Alfred or Paper Boi, is about to get famous for being a rapper, Earn tries to get closer to him.

BoJack Horseman is a Netflix original adult animated series that premiered in 2014 and is still airing, with the sixth season being announced recently. BoJack Horseman follows the life of the main character, BoJack, who is an anthropomorphic horse that used to be on a sitcom in the 1990s but has since fallen off to the wayside of Hollywood and is no longer as famous as he once was, which is something that he struggles with. The Goldbergs:

The Goldbergs is a sitcom that began airing in 2013 and follows the Goldberg family in the 1980s. This series is based on the life of Adam F. Goldberg, the show's creator, as he was growing up in the 1980s. Much of the series has reenactments of Goldberg's childhood that he filmed when he was younger and Patton Oswalt narrates the series as a grown-up version of Adam, beginning each episode by saying it's "1980-something" without ever specifying a year.

The show was canceled on its original network after five seasons but was picked up by another network the following day for a sixth season. The series is set in the fictional 99th Precinct of the New York City Police Department. The series follows a variety of detectives who work in the precinct, including the main character Jake Peralta, an immature detective whose slacker lifestyle is put in jeopardy after the stern new Captain Holt joins the precinct.

Stranger Things is a Netflix original series that aired its first season in 2016. The third season is set to air in 2019. The series is set in the 1980s in a small town called Hawkins, Indiana. The series is a post-apocalyptic series that is set nearly 100 years after the Earth became uninhabitable and humans left to live on space stations. At the beginning of the series, 100 people were sent back to Earth to test the viability of living there once again after the space station they live on has gotten past its capacity for people.

The series follows a scientist named Rick Sanchez and his grandson, Morty Smith, who go together on adventures through time and space with the help of Rick's inventions.
